Dylan returns to his family’s home after leaving the house three years ago in an attempt to quell his romantic infatuation with his older brother’s wife. When he comes back home, he finds his throbbing heart longing for her deeply once more. Through his bitter struggle, he hears rumors of his older brother’s close relationship with the housemaid Anna, which enrages him into vowing to do everything in his power to kick the housemaid out of the household for his sister-in-law’s sake, thus beginning the constant harassment toward Anna. As their relationship tangles, it evolves into a deeper bond—one that he didn’t expect. Then, Anna finds out his reasoning for approaching her in the first place…
I was shocked, because the story was pretty good and surprisingly it didn't take an abusive turn either. Regarding Anna being a maid, her clumsiness was really to set up the story, as every story has a cliche. In the beginning they followed the cliche of her being a horrible maid and all the maids hating her, however past chapter 6 she does her job well and is rather competent. The reasons why she had been lacking at her job in the beginning was mostly due to the older brother/ the first young master, taking her time. And honestly it would've been more annoying if she had rejected him instead saying " oh no I'm just a lowly maid", thus let's not talk about books because really that's all they did. Also she was never exempt from her job, when she wasn't with him she would still be working. If you had read on it gives more details around the many jobs she had to do, as long with the others. Also she doesn't have a complete hate relationship with the other maids nor were the other maids unreasonably harsh. It's just inevitable that they would talk about her being close with the master because regardless if their just talking about books, this did take some time away from work. Once again this was more apparent in later chapters. Also I'm not saying she completely stopped making mistakes but it wasn't as cliche as the beginning. No worker is perfect and the story goes deeper into this. For example, the head cook had sent out raw meat, simple mistake he was criticized and they had just sent out new food. The second instant was when Samantha told the FL to buy ingredients and she had confused I believe Parsley and Basil. The FL was the one who had gotten in trouble but didn't fight to clear the misunderstanding as one it wasn't too serious no one had really gotten punished and two she knew that everyone makes mistakes and that it's easy for Samantha to become confused. Both situations were short and not over melodramatic. With the main couple, I won't say too much as then it would really become a spoiler but I'm glad that their relationship didn't become abusive and even if the second brother/ml/ Dylan was stubborn with love he's rather a decent person and never expected the FL to follow his shenanigans. I expect their romance to develop a lot more from here on out, it's a good read. P.S. Did I mention how he's not abusive? BTW not abusive?

Annoying as hell, the FL is not made for being a maid. She takes advantage of her master's favor and doesn't think ahead. She can't do her job ffs. She doesn't even try to correct her mistake. As of now, all she thinks is about her master's younger brother, instead of trying to do her job properly. 2 star for the amazing effort of translating.

I really like the story. I like the fact that the FL takes often the lead and seduces ML. FL isn't a pushover, she's not the cliché sub maid that keeps crying annoyingly. ML is a bit childish sometimes but that's what makes him cute and we can tell he's a good guy. There's some misunderstandings and they don't really talk. The snu snu scenes are a bit short but it's expected since the chapters are short
But what really bothers me is that there's no descriptions of the characters. We know Anna's hair is black but that's all. I don't know how Dylan looks, their eye colors, or anything except that both of them are attractive. It's very frustrating, I need to know this to imagine them.
Furthermore, we don't know in which era the story takes place. Is it another world ? Is it the 21th century or is it in middle ages ? I really have no clue. They don't mention any noble status but they say the kilner family is prestigious, so I'm assuming that maybe the story is modern but at the same time there is no mention of technology or anything. I'm really lost.

Extremely well translated. Big kudos to the translator.
The story reminds me of those old Harlequin Romance novels, where the characters aren't portrayed too deep.
My main complaint was the feeling of Out-Of-Character feeling, and the unrealistic portrayal of the character's status in life. For example, the FL is a maid, with a super poor background and horrid parents. Both FL & ML fall relatively fast for each other. A maid and the second young master of a wealthy family. No matter how you look at it, it doesn't seem that romantic. More like a fling, especially with all the random smut going on and him not owning up to his emotions for her either to her or to anyone else.
In addition, the feeling of the MC being just a bit pansy dandy is prevalent. He passes out from a drunkard hard slapping him. Sure him saving the FL from being hit is one thing, but why not block the hit with his arm or what not instead putting his own face in the way? Also, it's all idealistic to want to leave the family and be with the maid, but um... how are they going to survive? Is the FL going to have to work for them to survive? As far as I remember, I don't think the ML as the 2nd son has any money making skills or job of his own.
Overall, the romance feels a bit off because of the class distinctions and how the both leads react in real life.

A short sweet story, since its so short any and all misunderstandings resolve quickly, so you won't get annoyed by things being dragged on for too long.
This is the kind of maid x young master story that needs to be more prevalent. No abuse, no r*pe, no blackmail or coercion.

I enjoyed it. At the beginning of the story FL was too clumsy so I was really irritated by her but slowly it gets better. Plot is not that deep but for short smut novel it has right amount of plot.

It is immensely cute. I like that the character's have personalities and genuine stories. I like how the main characters grow.
One issue I have is the world building. Wasn't necessary per se but I didnt even know the name of the country they're in. We have no clue what 'time period' they're in

It's a sweet and short story. The author doesn't unnecessarily drag out misunderstandings or conflicts for the sake of pointless drama. Also, one of my favourite aspects of the novel is how all of the characters, including the side characters are surprisingly nuanced. They're not straight up cartoonish villains who oppose the FL or ML for no reason. Even when they're wrong, their actions are understandable or at least make sense. For example, David isn't as horrible as the synopsis makes him out to be, and Carol isn't as innocent as you would think. Neither are complete villains or complete saints. They're all flawed and yet very human characters, with both good and bad qualities.

Okay so this is shoujo through and through. Very much so, and a clumsy maid x young master is a very basic trope
To start with, the story of Anna being clumsy is kind of... odd... Anna is characterized as inherently clumsy, and yet her clumsiness stopped relatively quickly. It'd be one thing if she's explained as being tired or unused to the work, but she's well rested and by the time the story starts Anna had worked for 3 years and she had blundered frequently enough the head maid had to turn a blind eye due to how many times she had to deal with this bullshit, not to mention her clumsiness (and the punishment, more specifically the lack thereof) is legendary among other maids
And one day she just... stopped messing up.
After that as per usual shoujo standards the young master quickly fell for her. At least she's not passive, so both leads do have something going for them
Beyond that there are quite a few smut scenes and it's a very basic back and forth between one yearning for the other. I can't say much about it and the lack of shoujo in my repertoire may have given me a biased view of how "good" this is.
All of the problems could've been solved very quickly had the parties in question explained to each other, but such is fiction
Translation quality is superb
