This seems like it could've been a bit interesting and funny, the MC is a lazy prick and it seems it might've had some proper humor. The biggest issue is the translation which makes it hard to even say anything about this novel. The flow is horrible, it doesn't read well at all, not to mention that there are big and basic grammar errors all over the place. It's hard to read and the translator have literally translated things that shouldn't be literally translated. A translator can butcher a novel completely, it's very easy. Even the best novels can be turned into one of the worst if the translator isn't up to par. Sorry to say this, but this should be translated from scratch by someone else, otherwise it will never be popular. Most would probably give up after 1-2 chapters.

So, If you decide to read this, keep my words in mind and expect nothing much of the translation. Maybe this stuff won't bother you that much even if it's a dealbreaker for me. I'll give it a 3/5 because it's not fair to judge the novel when the translation is like this.

This is my favorite trope: about a lazy MC who when forced by circumstances, shows how OP his talent really is. There is good character development by chapter 13, which not all novels can say. The world so far has been inferred rather than described, which is also one of my favorite ways to go about it.

Author is lazy dude, and he is glorifying laziness trait in this novel to make himself feel better. He's as useless as most young masters in chinese webnovels.

I like the story itself a fair amount. The characters show noticeable development from early on, the story flows well, but the translation is never great and soon gets much worse. One character's name is translated consistently as 'real people', but the final straw was when some cultivation boundary was described as 'the Taoist and Taiwanese frontiers'. This is in addition to certain inferred meanings that are exclusive to Chinese history/culture not being explained in any way (which, to be fair isn't required for a good translation) just make the translation a pain you have to deal with to get at the story.

The only redeeming feature is that it is largely coherent, if filled with frustrating mistakes and typos.
