Chu Tangtang skipped a grade and ended up in the same class as Jiang Huan. They sat next to each other in class as their class teacher would like them to have more opportunities to interact and learn from each other. They were representing the school in Mathematics Olympiad. Jiang Huan and Chu Tangtang’s older brother, Chu Qin, were arch-enemies.
