At the start of this story, the MC is a naive child and acts like it. He keeps messing up and angering people, but his seniors care about him and keep protecting him. Whatever set backs he comes up against, he has earned through his own mistakes. Although these mistakes are understandable given that he is a small child, in no other novel would he have any chance to survive them without a prolonged life and death struggle. He also has some anger issues and makes those he feels to be abusing him, to suffer loss after loss. It is very refreshing to see prideful old cultivators be wronged again and again, without it resulting in them deciding that the MC must die no matter the cost. (Other than the occasional outburst when they are angered half to death) Right now, he still doesn't have a single real enemy.
This story is definitely a breath of fresh air in a genre were half the characters usually want to murder the MCs and everyone they care about.
I would definitely recommend reading this.
