Chapter 1
hello everyone, it's the MTL-er here! I gotta say, SCREAMS that was a nice calming sweet fluff story! KYAAAA! I smiled seeing their relationship develop quite naturally---
hey you! Yes you! Did you want a story to read that was just about two calm people's progress in their relationship? No drama! No confusing plot! It's not overly fluffy, but you'll jump on the ship and then let's set sail wheeee! The ending is nice too and makes me happy, ahahah!
i don't usually do this, but I think this time, I do need to add in a spoiler tag.
Spoiler
the story is mostly of their relationship development after they agree to marry, that's where most of the sweetness is! And yes, I said agree to marry, because he proposed it without romantic feelings, (but does like her) but it's still worth it, no worries! How their relationship progresses afterwards is where the fun part begins, ufufufuf! And also, priscilla's relationship with her in-laws is nice too---
who's the one who gave one star and three stars?! If you didn't do it accidentally, come here and fight me!! Calming sweetness doesn't come by easy these days, why're you giving it a one or three?! Lolol

Chapter 1
This story is really disappointing.
Based on all the good reviews, I was expecting a nondramatic, fluffy, and cute read.
Instead, what I got was:
Spoiler
  • a submissive MC with a one-sided love for the ML
  • a coldly rational ML that married the MC for convenience's sake
Sure, the one-sided love eventually becomes mutual love, but only the readers know that. The ML never once said he loves the MC to the MC. The readers know that the ML love the MC because we know his thoughts, but in the story, the MC believed that the ML only married her for convenience's sake from beginning to end. There is a crippling problem with communication between the MC and ML. The ML fulfills his duty as a husband/father by being understanding and kind to the MC, but it is never clear if the MC knows that the ML loves her or not.
Even in the scene where the MC flat out tells the ML that she loves him, the ML doesn't tell the MC that he reciprocates her feelings, all he does is have s*x with her. I don't understand how this story can be considered as fluffy and cute when the ML is struggling with communicating between him and the MC throughout the entire story. In fact, it was frustrating to read about how the MC loves the ML, but the ML never says anything. Perhaps actions are worth more than words in this story since the ML is understanding and kind to the MC, but that doesn't cut it. I would have appreciated it if the ML at least clarified to the MC that his intentions towards her isn't only for convenience's sake anymore but because he loves her, yet the ML never said anything directly to the MC. And with how submissive the MC is, she just accepts everything the ML does without trying to talk it out. This story is exasperating.
Overall:
This story is all about how actions are worth more than words. But too much action, leads to a lack of words. Because of this, the romantic development between the MC and ML fail as they lack communication. It feels like from beginning to end, the MC never really gets an answer from the ML on whether he loves her or not.

Chapter 1
The only reason a person would not rate this 5 stars would be because they are looking for a shoujo, expect an overbearing ML or want some action/drama.
Nice slow romance with a little fluff but mainly calming and soothing love story. Would recommend to anyone who wants to read a calming slice of life novel.

Ok so where do I start...
I started reading this because of the high rating and the summary looks interesting. And the beginning started relatively well to me.
Halfway through and I had second thoughts because this was not going to what I have expected. I scrolled through the reviews and I'm actually relieved someone posted a 1 star review! I was just looking for a nice decent romance story where MC and ML are mature and how their story unfolds. And as you can see that's not what I got.
So for the sake of world peace and no more heartaches read first BillionJelly's review and if it still didn't dissuade you into not reading this novel then let me add on how this is not for those who want real FLUFF, not that fake cheap fluff they sell in sidewalks (like this one apparently)
Spoilers ahead:
MC is pitiable in the beginning of her marriage tbh, because aside from her husband marrying her for her hands so he can have good sleep, she's already fallen for him while he just cares for her and I don't think he's in love with her just yet. And it also didn't help how he would have proceeded to have s*x while he hadn't even kissed her yet (if MC didn't asked for it) ! Do I need to mention this is half a month into their marriage? Yeah I get it you married for convenience but bro you treated your wife like some bed pillow who just happen to treat your fatigue and headache. Shame on you ML! Also the fact ML made MC feel as if she's not attractive and whatsoever within that time as no contact happened between them aside from a hug. A HUG!!! Does that sound like a good male lead to you? And this is halfway chapter 14. There's only 18 chapters and from the spoiler I got, it wouldn't become better, so why bother?
Truthfully the smut could've been gone and I'd be grateful for it. This is the kind of story where I'd prefer for the romance to slowly unfold and not read chapters where smut happens. Eh there's 'splashing' here and there too and I can't help but think of the pool, really.
Seriously sometimes I can't help but question where do these people see the fluff or am I just blind. It's like they automatically label 'fluff' to everything when in reality it isn't.
Tl;dr: I'm looking for some decent romance story and this is not it.

Okay. OKAY. This deserves not just 1 star. I am actually quite upset someone reviewed it badly and saying how it's too much actions, not much words, and how both leads lack communication and verbally not saying I love you to each other. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions though. And here's mine:
Sometimes, actions show a lot more than just words. I would agree that it may seem shallow that they don't eventually verbally profess their loves for each other, but honestly, the relationship growth between the 2 leads already show that much, without even having it to be put into words. The story telling here doesn't just spoon feed us readers with words that they love each other, but rather, by telling us their actions mutually show love for each other. There are different language of love, so the fact that there is not any confirmed "I love you"s, that does not mean they don't love each other enough for their ending relationship to be justified. (Sorry for rambling)
ANYHOWWWW, I wouldn't say I'm an avid novel reader but many times, novels that are still ongoing, even if I follow them, I don't think I anticipate the updates as much as I do for this one (and very few others). I was sooo sooo glad when Momo decided to pick this one up to translate. Not all heroes wear capes indeed. I would also like to thank CrappyAss and Hasr11 for starting to translate this story at the beginning, because otherwise, this story wouldn't be out there for me to read in the first place.
And I need to reiterate, this is full of fluff, endearing moments, NON PROBLEMATIC people (questionable how the ML parents kinda treat or nurture ML but they remind me of my parents in general. Those Asian blood man hahah and they treat FL with respect like hellooo when was the last time I read romance josei/shoujo novel with in laws being decent human beings?). The FL, Priscilla, is seriously GOALS, and she reminds me so much of Tohru from Fruits Basket. And I like that this story is short and sweet. Authors don't drag over s*upid dramas/conflicts. Definitely something I can binge-read now over and over when I'm bored. Rarely that I go out my way to review for the good stuff I read unless it's really really good and warrant the effort from me. And this novel is one of them.
Thank you translators. I wish I can read more of the Lucott Kingdom series too following this one! I will be looking forward to it for sureeee. LOVE Y'ALL, PEACE!

Chapter 1
whilst the concept was cute I hate:
Spoiler
icb the mother of the ML thought that her leaving her job which was considered a good job an "of-course-you-should" thing and the guy didn't say anything?? I thought MC liked and enjoyed her job?? MC also didn't try to keep her job.......... she's just going to be a house wife and a f*cking pillow for him, or like a welcome mat that makes one feel welcomed whenever they step in the house or smth. a doormat would be a good description of MC in my as honest as possible opinion tbh.
i might be wrong as it's been a long while since I read this novel, but I found it again in my 'already read' list and it strike me in the nerve somewhere... I just /had/ to write my thoughts on it

Chapter 1
This was a relaxing and easy read. There was no drama, just a satisfying plot flow with no antagonists or anything bad. While there wasn't much character development, at least the ML eventually learned to treasure the FL instead of just appreciating the convenience of her hands.
I would recommend this to those who need a break from all the overly long, drama-filled novels.

This is such warm, fluffy, cute, and hot novel with no unnecessary drama. It's a light read perfect for those who just want to satisfy their sugar cravings. The main characters character don't have any issues so they won't make you kill them too. I wish someone would pick this up since I only MTLd 5-18 and it caused me a giant headache.
