Sigh..., yet another good novel ruined by, as usual, an unreasonably low rating given by qidian haters. I feel like giving this novel a review it really deserves.

Hilarious and funny. So far where I'm reading, this novel is still so good and interesting. I like how the MC subsconciously used her OP alien abilities.

A bunch of elderly scholars tells her (him?) to show off her calligraphy skills (which she knows nothing of) for the grandmother's fiancee test. She copied a nearby famous calligraphy with a perfect similarities so perfect that it resembles a photocopy, leaving the geezers grieving lmao.

Each person seems to have an interesting traits. Oh and also the comical family lol. Fyi, I suggest try reading this and ignore the negative ratings. To which you may realize what I'm saying.

Honestly, a hidden gem which was destroyed by so many poor reviews. The humour is so natural that it causes you to have those wheezing laugh effects.

For the first time the story does not start with an arrogant op MC. For the first time the MC does not hide her strange new power form her loved ones, not for some s*upid sh*t like fearing her revealed secret being tested in a lab or her family thinking her crazy. For the first time the first handsome-rich-nice guy she comes across is not the male lead that she falls in love with. For the first time author mentions those terrible cliche found in webnovels: "As you understand, they all start the same way, like the main character getting some cheat to change the world or starting a harem. It's a tedious plot that appeals only to the masses..." (direct quote from chapter 160)

As you read on, you realize that this could not be written by a inexperienced shut-in author with a big imagination. It is impossible for them to talk about finance of business, relationships between the wealthy powerful households, psychology of acting, underhand schemes in the entertainment world, and life of upper class rich people in such great detail without some real life experience themselves. The good parts about this novel is that it teaches you some moral lesson you would not find in regular books.

Don't believe such a good novel exists? Read to chap 50. You might find other small issues along the way, but definitely not those big issues of "obvious harem" or "annoyingly dense mc" or "cheesy bl"

It's written well in terms of language. What's missing is excitement when I'm reading this story. The setting and plot has potential but the delivery was lacking. Beginning started off good but suddenly the MC gets this job and it's so boring. X_x Dropping for now.

This novel is quite refreshing. You've got gender-bender, comedy, and an OP MC. Luckily no tropes of an aloof, cold ML (well, we don't yet know who the ML is) or a horrible, unsupportive family (this family is so endearing). So far, well translated with frequent updates. Looking forward to how the plot progresses. Definitely worth reading!

Honestly, this has become one of my favorite among the novels I've ever read.

Ye Shuang, whether in her female or male, is hilarious. The way she thinks and response on her gender swapping problems really defines the word humorous. Her character is neither fool or clumsy. It is because she is smart (credits to the alien genes), practical and also shameless that she manages to hide her secret for so long.

The characters are lovable--especially the MC. Each characters here has solid concept and you can tell which is which when they all interact together.

For me, every chapter in this story is fun. Beside the comedy, the other aspects of this story have substance. For example, when Sister or Brother Shuang is working, some details related to their work are narrated in the story. There were no nonsense in those stuffs and actually, these quite introduce you to their line of work, making you a bit related to this story. NOTE: Ye Shuang has a very unique job, Headhunter, and also, she does part-time jobs like when she acts on a big screen using her male form as the elder brother of a famous actor. At first she is reluctant to do the acting job, after all, she is cautious for her secret but later on agreed as she wanted to rake in huge amount of money.

Since Ye Shuang had this gender-swapping problems, this mean that MC would appear in some part of the story as female or male, the route for the romance (if there would ever be) is possibly open to both gender. Actually, both forms of MC are beautiful and handsome to the extreme, smart, talented and SO skillful (in acting, racing, martial arts, etc). Because of these qualities, she possessed, I believed that she is a good candidate for any ML (in female form), and may be even BECOME the ML (for the male form).

HOWEVER, MC had another BIG problem, she COULD not be easily attracted to another man pr person, unless the man directly confess to her. In short, in exchange for her increased rationality, she became dense in the romance part of her life.

There are so many POTENTIAL candidates for ML, and up to chapter 219, finally, one person is identified with high chance of possibility to become ML.

So folks, this novel is gold.

PS: It is sad that there is no ROMANCE tag in here because it would really be disastrous for the characters, haha. If possible, there are so many ships here to be sailed.

The blurb made the novel sound interesting however, even though it was well written, it fell short of expectations.

The alien gene have supposedly improved the mc's physical and mental attributes, while the physical attribute have indeed improved, the mc's mentality was still immature and dumb. This is a typical case of someone who is booksmart but have zero streetsmart. For example, the MC weren't capable of thinking up another name when people asked for his name while she was a male and especially when people falsely alleged that he was her female self's bf etc. It just doesn't appear to be someone who is "smart". They could've just pretended that he was a distant relative visiting or something. Anyway that's not a big deal, however when Fang Fei lied about the contract needing the MC to appear at a certain place or the payment would be delayed, being someone who was supposed to be smart and who have read the contract herself, how could she have had easily believed that lie??

I can understand it if the author didn't consistently tried to sell the MC as being smart because she could do those calculations etc. I can understand the author probably wanted to make it comical but it's just too darn jarring inconsistent and it breaks my enjoyment in reading this novel. It would've been better if the author didn't keep point out how amazing MC mental capability was, it would've been more natural, instead the humour just seem forced & I didn't find it funny at all.

This is so good! I love the MC so much, I can't make up my mind about whether or not I like her (I'm using her because that was her original form) male body better or or her female body better. They both seem to have their own unique personality despite being the same person and yet it works. The characters are all hilarious and I love the MCs way of thinking.

I finally made time to finish this and I reread it from beginning to end. I still love the plot and all the characters but I can't say I like how it ended. I'm going to keep my rating as five out of five since I still love the novel, I just wish it went on for longer. It is completed logically, I just want to read about YS's life with HC.

This is such a good read! The novel is a hidden gem. Unlike what the summary suggests there isn't any harem/reverse-harem here. The MC is not OP at all, she does not gain any superhuman powers rather her normal human abilities are enhanced. Even while working she makes mistakes learns from them and grows.

Humour and thrill runs parallel in this novel. There's not much romance here, I had a hard time predicting who the ML would be as lots of eligible people do pop up (and it doesn't turn to Yuri) but that doesn't matter because the story is so gripping (yes there is a ML whom she ends up with). However, they could've wrapped the ending better I mean.. it finishes at 509!!?? Like what could one more chap do to you???? ;-; the last chap felt rushed..

At 508 she gets shot and at 509 she wakes up from a comatose state as she finds out how her gender swap was "taken care of" and how she was saved but no we don't even get to see her own reaction to this I mean?????? I'm all for the ML and MC getting together (not how I imagined they would get together but ahem) that ending was basically the darker version of sleeping beauty I mean? It did bother me a little but anyways.... I didn't get the resolution either in her romantic life or like the main story like wtf even happened ? What happened to the organisation..I mean it was done for but a little epilogue would have been nice I mean we were invested in the organisation story for 300+ chaps.

Anyways, despite the rushed ending the novel is really good. Much like a novel version of the manga Dengeki Daisy except for the romance. So, if that settle with you then go ahead, this is indeed a very good novel and completed (can be read somewhere other than web novel site)

I love this novel so much, it is excellently written, well characterization of each characters and how each characters are a real-like people. What I mean by real-like people is each role is not just characters with standard personality for there purpose, each has their unique quirks that add plots to the story. Each characters are funny is each own way and I can say this is a rare Chinese novel where people are gray, they don't fall from either black or white. Most Chinese novel portray their characters as either totally bad or totally good, the characters here are just people pursuing their own interest and goals.

I liked it, really funny so far and the MC is likable too. A nice, relaxing read for someone not looking for harems or plot-heavy stuff.
