If he could really understand this then Bai YueSheng wasn’t a person but a God. Okay… actually he really had been a God before.\n 

But right now wasn’t the time for reminiscing. Bai YueSheng tried to calm the little flower sprite. “Speak slowly. What’s going on? Although Black Luo’s personality is different from you, but you share the same memories, so it is also you.”

 

LuoLuo shook its head so vigorously its flower petals looked as though it was going to be shaken off. “No it’s not… he isn’t me. He really isn’t me. Before I didn’t realize but afterwards… ahhhhh!” The little flower sprite was very frustrated so it just flat out said, “He is Neil!”

 

Bai YueSheng blinked. He was very confused. Neil was a black dragon… oh wait now he was a gold dragon, but no matter what color he definitely a dragon, the proof was the two penises! Teacher Bai had certainly never heard of a flower sprite being so “gifted” in that area!

 

LuoLuo was not good at expressing itself. Complicated things was not its forte, luckily Bai YueSheng had ways of communicating with it. “Can I have a look at your memories?”

 

The little flower sprite vigorously nodded. “Of course!”

 

Bai YueSheng pointed his finger at the little flower sprite’s forehead and used a spell to enter its subconsciousness.

 

This was similar to the spell “Legilimency” but it wasn’t as easy to use as the one in the world of Harry Potter. The person the spell was being cast on had to lower their guard completely and had to have complete trust in the person performing the spell in order for it to work.

 

{T/N: So the words for the spell literally means “soul recollection” or “soul memory” but then the author refers to Harry Potter, so I used the Harry Potter spell term equivalent.}

 

These requirements were nothing for the flower sprite so Bai YueSheng was able to see into its memory and easily obtain the meaning behind the words that it couldn’t express properly.

 

But after obtaining it, Bai YueSheng somewhat wished he hadn’t.

 

This was… too big of an emotional debt!

 

Ah Jiu also saw it. “Oh ho.”

 

Bai YueSheng. “….” Oh ho my ass!

 

Ah Jiu said in  sage-like voice, “The feelings really are very deep.”

 

Bai YueSheng had a headache.

 

The events that time was really full of twists and turns, it was so distorted it made him feel squiggly-eyed.

 

During the chaotic time of war, when Bai YueSheng fell into the trap set by the dwarves, Neil Maine had just successfully conquered the gnomes.

 

The ghomes and the dwarves were close relatives. Although they were two separate clans, they had a symbiotic relationship. The dwarves were good at construction and engineering and the gnomes were good at lying and trickery. In the past the two clans didn’t want anything to do with each other but then dwarven leader had signed a blood contract with a gnome leader, and the two thereafter became allied.

 

The dwarves were responsible for the construction and the gnomes were responsible for the trading, it was a really perfect husband-wife combo. Afterwards the two races prospered together, practically becoming one family.

 

Neil Maine had always been interested in the commercial prowess of the gnomes. This time in order to gain control over them he had done a lot of careful pre-planning and his sacrifices weren’t small.

 

But who knew that the dwarves had a back-up plot of their own. They kidnapped Bai YueSheng and issued the command: Neil’s troops must leave the gnome lands otherwise they would kill him.

 

Bai YueSheng didn’t know about this, so he also didn’t know that when Neil Maine heard about it he didn’t even hesitate.

 

He immediately said, “Release him. I agree to your demands.”

 

After he heard this, the words that appeared in Bai YueSheng’s mind was: What an damn idiot!

 

Having lost the support of his clansman and forced to subsist with his disabled dragon’s body, for Neil Maine to have come so far in life was something incredible. But his weaknesses are very obvious. His foundation was not strong enough, most of his troops were disobedient mix-bloods, they had their own agendas were only temporarily co-operating with him.

 

For example in the battle with the gnomes, Neil Maine’s largest support came from the vampire clan. This was a relationship of mutual benefit. After winning they were supposed to divide up the gnomes businesses between them. However now his words infuriated the vampire leader.

 

“Are you insane? Giving up the gnome lands for your paramour?”

 

Neil Maine didn’t even look at him. He only said to the dwarves, “Release him.”

 

The vampire leader was enraged. “Neil Maine who do you think you are?! This land also partly belongs to us!”

 

The dwarf said, “We want the complete gnome lands back.”

 

Neil Maine said, “We will remove all the troops.”

 

The vampire clan leader said furiously, “Don’t even think about it! That whore has got  you wrapped around his finger, but we aren’t… ah… you…” He gave a terrible cry as he gazed down at the blood gushing from his throat. Even at the point of death he couldn’t believe what had happened.

 

Neil Maine calmly wiped the blood from his hand. He turned to the dwarves and repeated, “Release him.”

 

Everyone present had one thought: Neil Maine had gone insane.

 

This kind of audacious action shocked everyone, but at the same time angered a lot of people.

 

It wasn’t worth it. By Bai YueSheng’s reckoning, it wasn’t at all fathomable. This kind of losing trade, was it really the action of that cunning and rational black dragon?

 

By killing the vampire leader it was equivalent to declaring war on the entire race. Seeing how much he cared about Bai YueSheng, the dwarves felt as though they could ask for anything. If the positions were reversed Bai YueSheng could think of at least six different ways to torture the dwarves but at the same time rescue the hostage.

 

Bai YueSheng had never before questioned Neil Maine’s intelligence but right now he felt this outwardly cool and calm man was underneath just another fat flower sprite!

 

Really stupid to the core!

 

But why was he so stupid?

 

The heart that cares is the most muddled.

 

It was because he cared too much so he lost the ability to judge clearly. To be able to show a calm face on the surface was probably already his limit.

 

How deep must this love be? Bai YueSheng didn’t even want to think about it.

 

Just as he predicted, once they realized that Neil Maine cared so much about Bai YueSheng, the dwarves quickly became greedy and began to pile on more and more demands.

 

Thankfully Neil Maine’s vanishing logic finally made a partial return. He realized this way he would not be able to rescue Bai YueSheng, so he thought of invading the dwarves.

 

However at this time most of his troops efforts were occupied with suppressing the vampire rebellion, and also he didn’t want to alert the dwarves so he decided to do a surprise attack on his own.

 

However on the way he found the half dead flower sprite that couldn’t even penetrate the outer wall.

 

Although LuoLuo really had gone to try and rescue Bai YueSheng, however it was too weak. The dwarves had laid layers upon layers of traps, it was already defeated by the lowliest one so it was impossible for it to go further.

 

Neil Maine didn’t abandon the flower sprite. He knew it was the little thing cared for by Bai YueSheng, and also because they had a master-servant contract, the little flower sprite could sense Bai YueSheng’s location.

 

But bringing this baggage meant that the difficulty of evading the dwarven traps had increased, so by the time he found Bai YueSheng, Neil Maine had already lost half of his life.

 

Although he was like he was still able to destroy the trap around Bai YueSheng and bring him out.

 

Because the little flower sprite had been brought in, he remembered the way out. So after Bai YueSheng exited the trap he held the half dead little thing and it showed him the escape route.

 

From the beginning to the end Neil Maine never made an appearance. He even placed a part of his demon core into LuoLuo’s consciousness, altering some of its memories, to make it think that it successfully passed through all the traps by itself and found Bai YueSheng.

 

The most frightening thing was that Neil Maine was still in the dwarven territory!

 

So when Bai YueSheng brought the half dead flower sprite and went to find Neil Maine he was stopped at the door because Neil Maine wasn’t actually there.

 

At that time Neil’s subordinate was also very angry with Bai YueSheng and saw him as the vixen that had ruined everything, so the fact that he didn’t go against his command and try to beat him to death was already very tolerant.

 

After being barred at the door, Bai YueSheng had felt somewhat wronged. Even though they were mere f* buddies, this behaviour was too cold.

 

But he didn’t have any other method. The little flower sprite couldn’t just die like that. After enduring for one day and night, Bai YueSheng once again went to look for Neil Maine.

 

This time Neil let him in.

 

Neil Maine sat on the tall and wide high chair, his expression was very serene.

 

Bai YueSheng didn’t have time to bother with him. He straight-fowardly said, “I heard you and the vampires are at war? I have here with me an inside report of their territory. I also have three undercover spies there that I’ve supported for seven or eight years. I’ll give them all to you.”

 

Neil Maine didn’t speak.

 

Bai YueSheng thought it wasn’t enough to move him so he persevered and said, “I will give you the entire spy division for your command.”

 

{T/N: I’m guessing this one. He said “暗三部”/“An San Bu”. I dunno what this is. Maybe it’s his top three spies? “An” means shadow or dark and “san” is three so…}

 

Neil Maine continued to look at him expressionlessly.

 

Bai YueSheng cursed him as a emotionless slag dragon in his heart. Outwardly he said, “I will give you all the profits from the jewel chambers for one year!”

 

As though he had finally been moved, Neil Maine’s lips slightly lifted.

 

Bai YueSheng released a relieved breath.

 

Neil Maine only said something lowly to the person beside him. He didn’t say a single word to Bai YueSheng and just left.

 

Actually at that time Teacher Bai had been very angry.

 

But now the Teacher Bai that knew everything, only felt that a bittersweet feeling throughout his body.

 

Neil Maine’s life was really strong, even like this he didn’t die from anger.

 

Ah Jiu said with feeling, “What a hopelessly romantic, amorous dragon. Previously I wronged him.”

 

Bai YueSheng, “…” Romantic was enough, can you delete the word amorous.

 

At this time the palace doors opened. The light from outside spilled, showering the people standing by the door with a layer of gold.

 

That was Neil Maine.

Ah Jiu: “This time I’m on Neil’s side.”
