“Who are you running away from?”
“From the owner.”
Woo-jin’s face was hardened by Hae-gang’s answer.
He felt it, too—the weight of the words that came out of her mouth.
“Where I was maybe was a dream to others, but it felt like hell to me.”
It was a place she didn’t want to go back to again. She would rather have her legs cut off than return to that hell.
“It was like a breeding place.”
But she did not have a place of shelter to go right away.
She was sure that she would be followed.
Then, Woo-jin made an offer that Hae-gang couldn’t refuse:
“Marry me. I’ll give you a new identity.”
