In an era where monsters run rampant and even farmers must fight with hoes, those who turn 15 make a contract with a goddess to receive special blessings—skills and a profession. Foncier, a boy, and his childhood friend, Felitia, undergo the goddess's contract. However, while Felitia receives the hero's profession, Foncier is given the lowly profession of a villager. To make matters worse, he also receives the unfortunate skill, "Level Up 1/100." While Felitia departs on her journey as a hero, Foncier, the villager, diligently levels up. Though he almost gives up, his skill becomes the stepping stone to his ultimate strength.
