Took me a few chapters to realize this was a gag novel. Personally, I don't mind gag novels too much, but the MC seems to be the bu*t of the jokes 95% of the time. After a while it starts to get old. If I wanted to read novels like that, I'd read Japanese light novels where the beta male doormat... I mean, main character gets taken advantage of constantly.
Also, the jokes tend to be too forced at times. For example...
Spoiler
The school finds out that the MC can run really fast and want him to focus on sports instead of studying. He disagrees, knowing it's a pair of future tech shoes that gave him that speed to begin with. In return, they force him into a bet about making the top 25 student list at the end the month, then do ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER to stop him from studying. Teachers refuse to teach him. They refuse to let him study on his own, forcing everyone in the class to go to PE for the whole school day. They purposefully try to interrupt and distract him during the final test. His own parents beat the crap out of him when he says he wants to focus on studying. It doesn't even make sense.
I get that it's a gag novel, but when it's forced this much it just feels janky. It started to make me feel like these people were simply awful people who only gave a crap about themselves, and that the MC was a pushover.
