There is a man walking.It is a man that is silent and unfriendly, who I thought was a gentleman until yesterday.
I was stupid last night. Was it because I was a virgin I was ignorant to the whole thing? Like it was quite irresponsible. Like they abandoned the responsibility for it.
Well I did not really care about my first experience. . . .And I feel like my gender is in this weird middle ground ever since I was born in this world. I don’t think I could ever have a decent romance because of it.
I’m just tired.
Yesterday I felt like I was going to die from that surprise attack and then I was not able to sleep because of Alto’s desires all night. My fatigue is at its peak.
For recovery magic in this world it can heal wounds and the likes but it cannot recover fatigue. And every time I use magic I get tired.
So, I just want to shut up and follow Alto, to just get to a safe area as quick as possible. Then I want to go to sleep as soon as possible.
However It can never be that simple.
“Fio, you have a wonderful w-waist.”
This guy is licking me with his eyes. I feel nothing but pure disgust. I need to do something before it’s too late.
However looking at his face, he has a troubled expression. Apparently it may be that he was not looking at me with nasty eyes. And then. . .
“Fio, do you love me?”

I was not upset by his words, but for some reason I was upset.

This guy is super thick headed”I knew that”.However I did not know”understand” that he actually transcended thick headed-ness.
Ordinarily, you can’t just ask somebody “do you love me?” all of the sudden. How many screws does he have loose?
“Here, Fio. I saw a city.”
“Is that so? I can also see it.”
Certainly he has saved my life many of times,but last night it really roughed up our relationship.Even subtracting my offer,The cruelness that was inflicted on me with cold eyes was terrible. Did he perhaps enjoy torturing me?

. . . . That’s it!! Maybe because I was traumatized by last night’s terrible experiences. I was humiliated by a man who is much stronger than myself.Thefear, the severe pain.
I don’t think my pride was ever high,but whatever pride I had was mortally wounded.
Once we entered the town, there were Inn signs everywhere. This village probably makes a living off of traveling adventurers. So, Are there a lot of people here?
. . . . Well that’s what Alto says.He can see all the signs and town from a long distance away.He could just eat up Root’s navigation job considerably?
I wonder if all of the demon killing could be done by Alto alone.While thinking about that Alto went to look for a Inn.
The hotel he found was a small rundown Inn,it definitely was not luxurious. I will not complain now though, anywhere I can sleep will be good enough.
. . . . In the room he rented though. The two same sized bed were lined up with each other.
“. . . . Why are we sharing a room? No way are you sleeping besides me.”
“Sorry,Can’t afford a different room. It is necessary to save up the money needed to pay for several nights with everyone in the kingdom.And I have not kept the party funds on me. And I treat my pocket money strictly.”
“. . . . Understood.Our habits are not alike.”
“Naturally.”
. . . . .What’s natural?Facing this guy,it is making the level of confidence I have go below freezing.Should I perhaps lay down some booby traps?
. . . . .Nah, I am sleepy.I am just too tired it can not be helped.Well today is different from yesterday though. His energy is exhausted and he is not drugged up. So there should not be a risk of being attacked while I am sleeping.
Okay only for today will we’ll sleep in this mud like place.
I walked up to the bed and let go of my body atop of it.And I let my consciousness fade away.

Alto’s POV for the rest of the chapter. For the rest of the novel half of it will be from Alto’s POV
Right when Fio collapsed on the bed in the rented room, she immediately started to sleep.Her peaceful sleeping breathe echoed in the room.
I didn’t apologies again.Will I not regain her trust by the time we return to the kingdom?
Fio and I usually don’t talk very much. In any case she is often with Birdie or hanging out with Root.Their gang of three.
Rather I feel like I usually get avoided by Fio. As it is now, if we do meet up with everybody it will be impossible to mend our relationship.
I hurt Fio deeply as a woman last night. Somehow I want to regain her former energy at least.
(“If you hurt a woman I think it’d be good to send her a present Alto.Because it’s rare for somebody to get angry when they receive a gift.Surely everybody doesn’t have a sour stomach.”)
. . . . .I just remembered what was told to me by Root when the female team members were angry.
A gift? Hmm, this settlement is small, but perhaps a kind of jewelry that might match Fio.
Let’s explore the village for awhile while Fio is asleep.and if I happen to find something good I’ll buy it to Fio. However I can’t buy anything expensive, so if it’s a small thing I can buy that.
I locked the door with magic and started walking around this settlement.

This settlement does not having many permanent residents. It is a small village that’s more of a resting place for visitors to stop by. And most of the buildings in this village are inns.
Most of the residence are the people who operate the inns or shops that are around the village for travelers to stop by.There aren’t really any shops that deal with jewelry items so much, most are more practical things like portable food and clothing.
However there is a possibility that there are merchants that sell equipment and jewelry items are staying at the one of the inns.Perhaps it possible to also haggle a better price so we have enough money for private rooms tomorrow.Considering Fio’s current stress situation I want a private room.
It might be good idea to sell something we have on hand.Certainly this armor is quite high-class. I may get a reasonable amount for it. And then when we get to the kingdom I’ll buy it again.
Okay! Let’s first find a merchant.
I then decided to begin my search for a merchant.However, I haven’t even thought about what to buy nor do I know any useful information for deciding a present.

It’s been around an hour of me wandering around this small town.Eventually I did find a flea market being held in a large building.Apparently it’s a system where if you are staying at this large inn you can set up a stall.
When I looked at the accommodation for here it was actually strangely expensive. I guess it was for this reason.
The flea market had a good crowd. There were more than 4 or 5 shops line up next to each other.People were exchanging unusual items from various places. Perhaps I can find something here.
. . . . . I am not good at haggling for prices.Usually Birdie or Fio did it for me. Should I just ask Fio about it tomorrow? Instead of me selling it myself?
This is the conundrum. I don’t know whether or not I can negotiate a fair price from a merchant. I am bad at this stuff.
. . . . . .But I am the reason for Fio being asleep,And I just can’t wake her up. . .
I don’t want my friends to be gone. I can’t do anything alone. It can’t be  like my previous life.I can’t have nobody care for me. Because it is so detestable disgusting state I tried so hard to acquire the ability to protect everyone.And yet it’s not enough.I absolutely dislike hurting my friends, and being hated, becoming alone again.
I was a salary man who could not work, I remembered that when I was reborn here. Female colleagues who looked at me mocked me, as the people around me got promotions but no matter how much time passed I was always put to do odd jobs.
What caused me to do so bad?The origin was perhaps the one time I failed at listening. I could not understand my boss’s order which led to an important task being not finished. I became self-aware of that fact that I was a burden to the company.
So I tried to take it seriously at least.No matter how late it got I continued to work, always looking for something to do. I worked desperately. I Knew eventually my physical condition would collapse, but I get going.So everybody doesn’t abandon me.
I got a stomach ache one day and it didn’t go away.. However a stomach ache would never stop me.Even if I am a burden. I have to work a lot more. Even If I am incompetent I have to work hard.(è¶łă‚’ćŒ•ăŁćŒ”ăŁăŠă„ă‚‹ă‚“ă ă€‚)(TN: is used a lot, I don’t really understand what it is saying, but based on content I guess burden. I don’t know if it is a saying.)
Abdominal pain,sharpness. A part of my belly turned into a stinging pain.Mybody is telling me to stop. This is not a mental pain.It was clearly physical pain.
Okay I can still do my best. It is just the lower right corner of my stomach that ishurting.The whole stomach does not hurt.In other words,it is not serious yet.I told myself so.
One evening, I stayed alone in the office and worked overtime,just like everyday.Everybody in the office gave me the cold shoulder and left me to continue working. But the work never ends. Surely my points aren’t bad.(TN:this is getting so sad ;~; )
My stomach is still in pain.Its a stinging pain, my body is blaming me for it.
——-And then there was a sound of something tearing.
There is no one here at the office this late in the night.While holding down my burning pain filled stomach I colt not even call for an ambulance on my phone. I collapsed on the floor.

The flashbacks of my manner of death. . . No I need to calm down. I am not powerless anymore.
I studied frantically the complex magical system of this world. I trained my body so that I would not be bullied. I became the magical swordsman Alto so that surely somebody would be able to rely on me.
Yesterday’s sin really will haunt me forever. At Least I must apologize from the bottom of my heart.But I am not supposed to bring it up.
It’s should be alright though, If I apologize to Fio in good faith and then I will be forgiven. But I don’t know when I’ll see her smile again though.
I have to think of a way to cheer her up.

While I was thinking and wandering around the flea market. I overheard a conversation between a boastful young skinny man and a plump young man who is nodding often, brown nosing to him.They seems to be employees for an Inn, wearing employee clothes.

I heard what the man was saying and thought about it.
Way to please a girl? Do I perhaps need this information?
Then I’ll perhaps listen to the man.
“Hmm,The village young men.They are inexperienced, they want my teaching.”
“. . . . .Wah. What is it!?”
I resolved myself and asked him directly. This is surely a chance handed by god.
“You said you know the way to please a woman. Please I hope you could teach me how to have delight women.”
“W-What a weird brother. Don’t just suddenly come into our conversation.”
“I understand it was a rude thing, But I don’t understand.How can I learn to handle women so please forgive me!Please teach me how!”
Taking a hand on the ground, bowing to the young man. If it can make Fio happy again, I’ll do anything.
“. . . . .Fuun,Alright! You look serious and you are having problems with women? If that is the case I will give you a special offer and teach you the flawless instructions on how to please a girl.”
“F-For real? Right now I am very troubled. Surely I want you to teach me the ways.”
The man then patted my shoulder.
He taught me various things. How to take care of women and how to cheer them up. And how to please a woman. It was very exciting to me who had no experience until last night.It seems that I have heard god’s words.
. . . . . Is that so. It must be because I also chased after such information in my past life but I absorbed all of the information. I was incompetent in my previous life without a doubt.
After I heard the man’s lecture I went back to the Inn, it was already twilight. And Fio was no awake.
As usual Fio, who speaks normally can be seen to be frightened of me.Part of her speech were awkward. If this continues I will definitely be avoided by Fio in the future.
In any case today, I must restore my relationship with her. I must make her smile.
