Tondemo Skill â 480 â Fer & Grandpa Gon were Full of Confidence, butâŠ
Right now, we were deep inside a forest on the border between the Holy Nation of Rubanov and a group of random small countries.
Since it was possible to leave the City of Carelina in the morning and arrive at the Holy Nation by night via GG Airways, the plan was to strike at the heart of the church directly at dawn. Surprise attack advantage aside, I hope that the unexpectedly swift arrival would result in fewer witnesses and casualtiesâŠ
No matter how âevilâ those people might have been, having witnesses to a massacre would only be bad for Fer and the rest. Naturally, I donât want any innocent people getting caught up in this either.
Therefore, I made sure everyone go through the plan once more time as we hid in the forest.
âWe will attack in the hours just before dawn.â
âYes, yes, we understand,â grumbled Fer. âCan we have dinner now? Iâm hungry.â
âI have heard a human saying that goes âa big meal before a big battleâ or something to that effect.â
ââOooh! Big meal! Big meal!ââ
ââSui wants big meal too~ââ
I sighed, âI supposed you all want desserts too?â
âYES!!â
â⊠why do you all act like I donât feed you enough?â I sighed again. âI supposed you want tomorrowâs breakfast to be a âbig mealâ too?â
âYAY!!â
âHaahhhh, this bunch of gluttonsâŠâ
Well, I complained about these guys a lot, but I still prepared enough food to feed them until they stop calling out seconds and stuffed them with desserts and drinks on top of that.
It wasnât too hard since I have made my preparations already back at Carelina.
Tonightâs dinner (and tomorrowâs breakfast) are my way of encouraging them. Because âsubjugatingâ a country (or in this case, a cult) requires more than just graaahhh!! Power stomp!!
A little⊠finesse is required.
The ones with the greater role in this subjugation are Fer and Grandpa Gon, with speaking parts in this operation.
âRight, Extra-Large Katsudon coming right up~!â
To increase our chances of winning, I have prepared the ultimate winning dish. Iâm hoping that this XL Katsudon will bring us an [1] XL Victory tomorrow.
âMaster, this Katsudon thing is very delicious!â
Even the mostly dignified Grandpa Gon was impressed. Well, thatâs staple Japanese comfort food for you! Also, since I made it with good quality Orc meat, I went ahead and prepared a sweet and savoury sauce from scratch and added plenty of eggs for a tender and creamy finishâŠ
Woah, it certainly looks delicious. Even I am drooling now.
I quickly prepared my portion of Katsudon Set, complete with a tonkotsu soup on the side.
After the first bite âwoah~~~ itâs really delicious~~â I gobbled down my portion and seriously considered eating a second oneâŠ
After a dinner of XL Katsudon and dessert, everyone chilled on the side with cola while I checked my [Item Box].
In fact, I had prepared a lot of fried Katsu, intending to serve some Katsu Sandwiches for breakfast to increase our chances of victory.
For some reason, my familiarsâ appetite was particularly strong today, but I was prepared! Look at all these huge chunks of deep-fried katsu in my [Item Box] ~
Really, just whatâs with everyoneâs stomach today?
Not that Sui has a stomach, butâŠ
Ahhh, I actually feel a little bit sick from the smell of fried food. UghâŠ
Right now, Iâm sipping on black coffee from my favourite mug, trying to keep nausea from rising.
My familiars had better perform at their best for tomorrow!
Ugh, I donât feel at ease at all.
âHey, Fer, Grandpa Gon, you still remember what to do for tomorrowâs subjugation?â
[2]
âHumph, of course, I am a devotee of the great Ninril-sama. Since the oracle came from the Creator God, Demiurgos-sama, I must perform well to protect Ninril-samaâs reputation. Just leave it to me.â
âThe plan is simple and easy to follow. I shall execute it well,â said Grandpa Gon confidently.
âI hope it all goes well tomorrowâŠâ
ââOf course, it will!â
ââSui will work hard~~ââ
Things will be fine.
Iâm sure it will.
I hope.

After gobbling up a breakfast of Katsu Sandwiches, my familiars were ready to storm into the Holy Nation of Rubanov.
My poor stomach could only handle so much fried meat, so I had a light breakfast of miso soup, rice and a bit of pickles.
As we flew over the Holy Nation of Rubanov, I was a little concerned about knowing where the main church was, but Grandpa Gon assured me that âIt would stand out as a great landmarkâ.
He was right.
I donât know why I had been so worried; the main church was⊠very conspicuous.
Anyway, we flew over here on original-sized Grandpa Gon. This meant the Holy Nation of Rubanov received a nasty shock when a 20-storey tall dragon landed in the middle of their very impressive âchurchâ.
This so-called church was practically a castle, it was too hugeâŠ
Not only was it unnecessarily huge, but the decorations, paint and detailed work on the building were also clearly incredibly exquisite, to the point that even a novice like me recognised them as the epitome of âextravaganceâ.
It was all too, too grandiose.
So incredible looking that it took me a moment to realise that the high-pitched voice I had been hearing did not come from my screaming inner self, but from the people pouring out of the magnificent building.
They were men in shiny silver armour.
âTch, filthy monsters! We, the Paladins of the Holy Nation will defeat you!â
The knight (or paladin?) with the shiniest armour and the most gold detailing shouted.
âFilthy monsters, eh? You dare say such a thing to me? A Fenrir? You have guts, human. I shall slice you to pieces for this.â
Fer sounded⊠very angry.
âCutting something to pieces is easy. To these insects who curse an Ancient Dragon for being filthy, hmm, I shall erase your existence from this place with my Dragonâs Breath.â
Ah, Grandpa Gon was pretty angry too.
ââYou two! Stick with the plan!!ââ I shouted at them through telepathy.
âMu-â
âBut-â
ââDo you want to piss off Demiurgos-sama?ââ
In fact, Demiurgos-sama probably wonât care if the entire country was razed to the ground by Fer and Grandpa Gon, but I care, okay? I wonât be able to live with myself if I allow my familiars to destroy an entire country.
âGununuâŠâ
âHhmmmhhhâŠâ
They still looked more angry than obedient. There was no choice, I donât want to resort to this method, butâŠ
ââIf you donât follow the plan properly, no dinner for you tonight!ââ I practically shrieked.
âU-umu, I understand,â
âS-same hereâŠâ
Hahhh⊠looks like threatening their dinner worked better than name-dropping the God of Creationâs nameâŠ
As planned, Fer stepped forward first and grandly declared, âI, a Fenrir, am the descendant and follower of Ninril, the Goddess of Wind. I have come on the divine orders of the Supreme Goddess Ninril-sama and the Creation God Demiurgos-sama.â
âI am the Ancient Dragon, I had been on this plane of existence since time was young. I come on the divine orders of the God of Creation, Demiurgos-sama.â
Together, they roared, âHumans! Listen to the voice of Demiurgos-sama, the God of Creation!â
ââIâm depending on you, Demiurgos-sama!!ââ
I prayed as loudly as I could through telepathy.
Gumihou: Well, this is certainly different.
Eguchi Ren: We shall see Demiurgos-sama in the next chapter
[1] Katsudon â âkatsuâ is homophone for âvictoryâ, hence why people would eat âkatsudonâ before an important examination or competition
By the way, the âkatsuâ here is written in katakana ă«ă
Thatâs because âkatsuâ is not a Japanese word. Itâs actually âcutletâ or âkatsurettoâ
The Japanese kanji for âkatsuâ is ćă€
Japanese is so fun.
[2] Hmm, redid the âplan revealâ in a more natural way. Which ended up being not a true plan reveal anyway. So Gumi ended up deleting many unnecessary meanderings on the way.
