Character cheat sheet. This is mainly for me, and people who took a break from the novel.\n
Yukiya Kitahara(北原雪哉) now (雪耶): The protagonist. A junior high student, 14, and now a Snow girl. Short black hair, beautiful pale skin.\n
Syuuji Kitahara(北原修司): Yukiya’s father, and owner of the Snow House.(雪乃亭) Which is located in Hyousei Village(氷清村)\n
Yukino(雪乃): Yukiya’s mother, and is a snow woman/ Yuki Onna.\n
Hazuki Natsumi(夏美) and Saeki Tomonori(佐伯智則): Yukiya’s friends and classmates.\n
Hikura Kouko(氷倉凍子). The evil young Yuki Onna. Sharp eyes, and long black hair. Reiko is her mom.(冷子) And Himiko(氷見子)is her lackey.\n
Azusa Okamoto AKA Azuchi (岡本梓 ) Girl friend.\n
Mai Fujisaki (藤崎舞) Girl Friend.\n

Mai, Mutsumi, and Mina trekked deeper into the mountain, ignoring the snow falling as they followed Kanna.\n
Another hour passed as they walked up the mountain. Luckily the snow reflected some light, and it was not pitch black, though the tree popping in from the dark gave an eerie feeling.\n
Occasionally they jump in shock as a sudden sound from the branches of a tree falling under the weight of the snow.\n
The shivering continued, not knowing whether it was the cold or it was from the fear of the heart.\n
The gentle frightened group called out to Kanna.\n
“H-Hey. . .Kanna-chan, how much further?”\n
The city lights were no longer visible. They just wanted to go somewhere warm. Feel a Stove, shower, a hot spring. Anything warm will do.\n
Regardless, Kanna paid no attention and steadily pressed on.\n
She didn’t look lost at all. In fact she was confident, so they thought she knew they were on the right path. \n
“Today is the day to pray to the god of our mountain, so it’d be bad if we were late.”\n
“Weird custom. . .I never heard about it from the locals.”\n
Mai tilted her head and looked at Mutsumi.\n
“M-More importantly, my legs. . .”\n
Mutsumi feet get stuck in the depth of the snow.\n
This time Mai and Mina used their strength to bring her out.\n
They began to have second thoughts, but the road they came from was no longer visible, they didn’t know where they were.\n
Their footprints quickly got covered as the snow storm raged. They couldn’t turn back, and were only left with the choice to follow.\n
After all, she was the only thing anchoring them in this quiet white scene.\n
It was an eerie feeling, as if they stumbled onto another world.\n
Despite there being almost no visibility, Kanna pushed forward without hesitation.\n
Trampling through the snow for a long time, Kanna finally stopped.\n
The three shivering people finally caught up with the girl. They were before a cave with thick icicles hanging from its roof.\n
An imposing dark entrance.\n
“Are the staff already here?”\n
“Uh. Is this cave for the job?”\n
It must have been a famous place only the locals knew.\n
It must be a big new set to shoot a new promotional video.\n
An innumerable amount of large icicles hung from the cave’s ceiling. \n
Kanna quickly entered the cave and turned around, beckoning the three to follow.\n
“We have to hurry up. So let’s do our best.”\n
They were forced to chase.\n
“I’m going to freeze. . .”\n
The inside of the cave was a world of ice. Ice coating is transparent like glass. The voices echoed in the cold cave.\n
There was no wind, but the cold soaked into their body.\n
“Hurry, Hurry, we’ll be late.”\n
It was strangely bright inside the cave. A light from somewhere hidden, and a small amount was reflected onto the ice. It was shining.\n
The ceiling felt like it was full of twinkling stars. It lit their surroundings enough, no lights were needed.\n
“I’ve never seen anything like this.”\n
The cold could be ignored after being entranced by the mysterious brilliance of nature. There were no artificial lights illuminating the cave.\n
“If we shoot here, it’ll definitely be amazing.”\n
The leader Mai muttered.\n
The Snow girls troublers aren’t around singing and dancing. \n
Singing and dancing cannot differentiate you from the ocean of other idol groups. There is no definite solution, though the goal was only to get some enthusiastic fans.\n
Frequent appearances at small events and interactions with fans are indispensable. Although they were making steady effort, the withdrawal of a member makes them want to find a definitive way to keep those fans around.\n
The image of this mysterious world would surely create buzz and a great response from their fans.\n
“Everyone will be happy.”\n
They imagined acclaim from the fans and media gave the remaining two the courage they needed.\n
Suddenly brought back to the present by Kanna calling out. She was fast, and was far ahead already. They began to chase.\n
“W-Wait a minute. Kanna-chan.”\n
The weakest of the three had a hard time.\n
Mina took a breather and leaned against the icy wall.\n
She then noticed. Something was floating in the clear ice wall.\n
(It’s shaped like a person. . .)\n
You could see there were four limbs.\n
Keeping a closer look on them gave a better picture.\n
It was a human man. He had been frozen. Kept with his lifeless eyes open.\n
The other two then noticed.\n
It was a man in an archaic mountaineering outfit. Trapped within the ice with hollow eyes.\n
\nOn the contrary, Kanna was more shocked by the screams of the three.\n
Their faces were squeezed by fear.\n
Breathing became more intense.\n
“What, what are you surprised about?”\n
The girl wasn’t fazed at all when she saw the iceman.\n
It was like it was natural.\n
“Yeah he’s dead. That’s been there for a hundred years.”\n
Giving a dismissive laugh.\n
“The man chose to spend time on the ice. The partner was uh. . . Fuyumi-chan’s mother’s older sister?”\n
After hearing that Mina gave a small scream.\n
The other managed to hold theirs in.\n
“Ara, you don’t know? Are you not doing proper Yuki Musume training? Are the other mountains slacking? I was surprised at first too, but I got used to it.”\n
Kanna then realized something, her eyes opened wider.\n
“Or is it. . . You’re a child of a person? If so you can’t leave.”\n
The three of them shook their heads. The shake was so small that it was hard to tell if they were trembling or denying it.\n
Kanna was convinced easily. The crisis had been overcome.\n
The strongest willed Mutsumi immediately replied.\n
Mai the leadered nodded back, she barely managed to stand up straight. However her voice was tight.\n
“B-But . . .We’ll have to call it today.”\n
Mai tried to find an escape, looking at each other to immediately leave. They turned around when,\n
“Oh, don’t act so restrained. We will train today for as much as you want.”\n
They were stopped as she grasped them by their shoulders. The cold hand shook her body.\n
There was no warmth from this person.\n
Finally, the three realized, this girl was no ordinary person.\n
A Yuki Onna, they encountered a real myth.\n
“If you don’t practice, you can’t become a good Yuki Onna.”\n
Tapping the shoulders of the three.\n
The coldness was transmitted further into their body.\n
“Y-Y-Y-eah, that’s right.”\n
It was unavoidable now, the three of them decided to obey the girl while freezing.\n
And were taken further and further into the depths.\n

Hey, been a while with this story. This chapter actually came out february 2, the one before it came out in November last year. I was also busy translating a new story. So it has been a while since the last chapter, but I wanted to get this out fast without taking time away from the other story I’m working on. So I had to catch myself up. \n
I don’t know when the next chapter will come out, the author stated they’ve been too busy to write. So hard to tell, though hopefully they don’t feel too pressured. The story has also taken on a much more intense feeling, and Yukiya hasn’t been in the story for a while.\n
