Character cheat sheet. This is mainly for me, and people who took a break from the novel.\n
Yukiya Kitahara(北原雪哉) now (雪耶): The protagonist. A junior high student, 14, and now a Snow girl. Short black hair, beautiful pale skin.\n
Syuuji Kitahara(北原修司): Yukiya’s father, and owner of the Snow House.(雪乃亭) Which is located in Hyousei Village(氷清村)\n
Yukino(雪乃): Yukiya’s mother, and is a snow woman/ Yuki Onna.\n
Hazuki Natsumi(夏美) and Saeki Tomonori(佐伯智則): Yukiya’s friends and classmates.\n
Hikura Kouko(氷倉凍子). The evil young Yuki Onna. Sharp eyes, and long black hair. Reiko is her mom.(冷子) And Himiko(氷見子)is her lackey.\n
Azusa Okamoto AKA Azuchi (岡本梓 ) Girl friend.\n
Mai Fujisaki (藤崎舞) Girl Friend.\n

After that, the shop suddenly began to pick up business. The lunch hour came and I couldn’t afford to think about those three.\n
It was getting dark when the final customer left.\n
“Fuuh, today was decent. . .”\n
Looking outside it was getting dark, and despite the snow being light during the daytime, it became stronger once the sunset.\n
I was on my way to flip the open sign at the entrance, when the bell suddenly rang as the door flew open. \n
The cold air blew from the door along with accompanying snow. The snow blew onto the welcome mat as a figure walked on it.\n
“Oh, Yukiya-chan, are you doing okay?”\n
It was Natsumi-chan that came through the door.\n
“Of course I am, come in come in.”\n
She was wearing her usual navy blue coat. Although the blue was partially covered in snow.\n
As she entered she clapped her gloves to get off the snow.\n
Her muffler and hat are also covered with snow.\n
“Geeze, there was already a lot of snow. And now a storm appeared.”\n
Looking out the darkened window I could still see the snow pelting the land. Spring is approaching and the snow should begin melting. . .but there is still an unseasonable amount of snow.\n
She told me she was returning home from club activities, when suddenly a strong snow storm came. So she went to my place as a safe haven .\n
Actually I also have club activities, however I am exempted from doing that because I need to help out at the shop.\n
“It feels like winter is going to continue long past spring.”\n
Natsumi-chan grumbled as she breathed in the warm store air.\n
“It’s unnerving, no matter how you think about it.”\n
After placing her order for a hot zenzai she suddenly asked me.\n
“Yukiya-chan, do you know the Snow Girls?”\n
Then a familiar name was brought up.\n
“The three girl idol group, right?”\n
“Yeah. So you heard of them. Oh, yeah Fujisaki-san told you about them the other day. They are actually in our town right now. However. . .”\n
I wasn’t sure if Natsumi-chan was also interested in idols, but her tone seemed different than mere interest.\n
She took out a piece of thin paper from her coat.\n
It was a white business card.\n
“Snow Girl Project Producer: Ryuichi Shimamura.”\n
So they also have someone with that big of a title.\n
“When I was going home from club activities he called out to us. The fancy dressed producer was desperately looking for three people.”\n
I exchanged glances with my mother.\n
Of course those three missing people are the members of the Snow Girls. Mai-san, Mutsumi-san, Asa-san.\n
“They disappeared when he took his eyes off them during their break time. No matter how much he looked he couldn’t find them anywhere.”\n
At first it was thought they would be nearby, but as time went on it became more urgent.\n
“No way. . .They aren’t at an Ashiyu? Or on souvenir street?”\n

“. . .The town news has already reported on the disappearance.”\n
The story according to the news is that the last place they were seen is the famous rice cracker shop. After that they left for their next job.\n
“However they suddenly disappeared between shoots, no trace was found.”\n
That’s why the staff was searching everywhere, they simply had no clues.\n
There was some hope when they found three footprints heading out of town. However that led nowhere as the snow completely covered the track.\n
They just got to town, and then disappeared so suddenly.\n
This is frustrating, because I feel like I heard this story before.\n
I also remember the story of the old lady that lived in a lodge on the outskirts of town.\n
When she was young, villagers were afraid to leave town or get close to the mountain, because they were afraid of their children being taken by a Yukinmusume\n
“Do not approach” was the code.\n
If you do become friendly with a Yukinmusume, keep that to yourself and lock the door. As you won’t be able to go out.\n
It’s a convention that the town has already forgotten.\n
“Mother, today isn’t an attack people’s day, is it?”\n
I whispered to my mother so Natsumi-chan didn’t hear.\n
“No. But today is a exercise day.”\n
“It’s a day for Yukinmusume to work hard and train.”\n
Yukinmusume training. . . Do they usually not?\n
Wait, I’m also a Yukinmusume.\n
“I’ve never done this exercise day. . .”\n
“Yukiya is special, because I’m taking care of you. . . There are various things I had to make sure of that. . .”\n
I felt like it’s better to not dig too deep into it.\n
Regardless, back to the idols.\n
I returned to Natsumi-chan.\n
“I’m a little worried about them, so how about I go look for them?”\n
How lightly I said it made Natsumi-chan freak out.\n
“W-Will you be okay? Yukiya-chan, haven’t you lived your whole life in the city?”\n
“Oh is that so, Yukiya?”\n
I was wondering if my mother would oppose it, but she didn’t.\n
She simply grasped my shoulders and said.\n
“I see. . .If it’s Yukiya, then it will be okay.”\n
Natsumi-chan was flabbergasted. \n

Another adventure for Yukiya to do. Or another rescue mission. This time I do wonder if the other Yuki Onna’s did it, or if they just got lost. Because don’t they only go for men?\n

I know I haven’t been translating a new novel, mainly because I’ve been focusing on irl stuff and starting a new novel is a big time investment. (Which is why I’ve done more oneshots) So I apologize for that. Obviously though, I’ll keep up with updates for novels I’ve already done. So this and quad sisters(if that ever gets updated)\n
