Yukiya Kitahara(北原雪哉) now (雪耶): The protagonist. A junior high student, 14, and now a Snow girl. Short black hair, beautiful pale skin.\n
Syuuji Kitahara(北原修司): Yukiya’s father, and owner of the Snow House.(雪乃亭) Which is located in Hyousei Village(氷清村)\n
Yukino(雪乃): Yukiya’s mother, and is a snow woman/ Yuki Onna.\n
Hazuki Natsumi(夏美) and Saeki Tomonori(佐伯智則): Yukiya’s friends and classmates.\n
Hikura Kouko(氷倉凍子). The evil young Yuki Onna. Sharp eyes, and long black hair. Reiko is her mom.(冷子) And Himiko(氷見子)is her lackey.\n
Azusa Okamoto AKA Azuchi (岡本梓 ) Girl friend.\n

Kouko seemed unfazed by my astonishment.\n

For some reason, I lost my disdain for Kouko. At Least for today.\n
It may be because of how impatient I am in wanting to solve this issue.\n
And the current Kouko doesn’t feel evil.\n
So I’ll push it off for now.\n
“Okay. So we are beings that can be empowered by the mountain, as we administer the winter.”\n
“I-I heard something like that.”\n
In a way, I feel like my mother said something similar.\n
“By controlling that power, you can use various abilities.”\n
Like blowing a whirlwind, or shooting an ice bullet.\n
“And by successfully storing a small amount of the power that flows through our body, we can maintain our existence, even after the winter and into the summer.”\n
My mother never told me that.\n
“But right now, you are just letting go of that power as it goes through you. That’s why it is affecting those around you. If humans are exposed to that pure energy, they won’t stand a chance. . .”\n
The power of the winter is just being released through me, and is exposing itself to my classmates.\n
I suddenly remembered the legend of the Yukinmusume. That when they come down from the mountain, they continue to bring snow.\n
“Then what should I do?”\n
“You have to train and learn how to control it. First of all, you need to sense and feel the power immediately, not deliberately look for it. Otherwise you storing it will never start.”\n
“T-Then I’ll ask my mother. . .”\n
“Yukino-san? Your mother is rather powerful, so it’s not easy for you to feel your own power when around her.”\n
So my puny amount of power is being swallowed by my mother’s mighty power. . .\n
“Well you have to have somebody train with somebody suitable for it. . .And I am one of those people.”\n
Kouko looked away as she said that.\n
“Resonating and evoking powers with me will be easier. . .We are similar, as we both are on the stage before turning into a Yuki Onna. . .”\n
Incredible. I never thought I’d heard that from Kouko.\n
No way, is she perhaps reformed? No, I doubt it’s that. . .\n
“D-Don’t misunderstand.”\n
As if reading my mind, she interjected.\n
“You messing up impacts me as well.”\n
“You say that, but you came down to the remote human village. Does it really impact you?”\n
She folded her arms and then slowly turned away.\n
As if she was a little embarrassed.\n
“Besides. . .I’m still a bit indebted to you for that time.”\n
I thought about it and it soon came to mind.\n
Is she still thinking about the edible wild plant udon incident?\n

Okay so real TN notes. Happy new years, hope the holidays if you celebrate them are nice. With the new year coming, we can just hope it will be much better than this year. I’m still taking a break from translations.\n
