“Well, P-Pardon me.”\n
Damnit. I gave a shallow voice.\n
“Thank you for your hard work.”\n
“Kitahara-senpai, see you tomorrow.”\n
To my surprise, all the first grade female tennis members gave their goodbyes at the same time.\n
Each of them had a carefree smile, while carrying their rackets.\n
“Are you helping your family again? Please do your best.”\n
Although the club activities were over, cleanup still remained.\n
I was exempted from that work, so I can quickly get home.\n
“Y-Yeah. I’ll see you all later.”\n
“Leave it to us.”\n
The reliable Kouhais and seniors took control. \n
I have to respect and be grateful for them, seeing as I’m a newcomer.\n
In addition to that, I have to act as the senior for these girls.\n
I’m tired for today. How many times have I practiced swingings?\n
The women’s tennis club is tough, and the relationship between the members are strong. I was able to get in here only because of the heavy weight Natsumi-chan has.\n
And Because Kitahara-san helps their family, some special privileges were given.\n
“Don’t worry about it, feel free to go home.”\n
And then I secretly heard something.\n
“And. . .I’ll go to the snow house later.”\n
“Oh, thank you.”\n
I feel like the girls may be feeling jealous for being left out. I wonder if that is okay?\n
While thinking about that, I prepared to go home. Changed into my uniform, and left the practice field then.\n
“See you later, Kitahara-san.”\n
At the shoe box, some second year girls said their farewells.\n
“Oh, have you already finished club activities?”\n
Some passing boys even asked.\n
More people called out.\n
“Ah, G-Good bye.”\n
I returned the greetings one by one.\n
I also passed by Nakajima-senpai.\n
That handsome senpai that confessed to me.\n
“Ahh, Kitahara-san. What a coincidence.”\n
It was an awkward reminder.\n
“Senpai. Congratulations on going to high school.”\n
“Ah, Thank you.”\n
I ended up greeting as if nothing had happened.\n
Then I went home.\n
“Huh?”\n
There was a black car in front of the store.\n
The road to my house was once cleared of snow, but it started to pile up when it started falling again.\n
Incidentally, the black car had a white top.\n
When I got closer, I saw some people bowing down as they left the store.\n
Passing by me. I lowered my head to not be noticed.\n
Then left in the car.\n
My dad saw them out and then noticed me while I was giving a perplex look.\n
“Oh, Welcome back, Yukiya.”\n
“Who? Where are those people?”\n
“It was the manager of the Hikura Hotel. The head chef came with them.”\n
“W-What!?”\n
The Hikura hotel is the biggest thing in the town now. And a competitor. Why would they come here? It’s completely one-sided.\n
“They came to apologize.”\n
My father then explained.\n
“Well they said that the workers had the udon idea actually from seeing our homepage. Even peaking in on it every now and then. The catch phrase of the site was even similar. And then it seems the commerce department protested that.”\n
Everyone saw the website. . .\n
The number of visitors was increasing little by little everyday.\n
Apparently it wasn’t bots.\n
“And what did you say?”\n
“Oh, I said they don’t have to change their menu.”\n
“Eh!?”\n
In other words, the current situation remains unchanged.\n
“If it’s useful to copy, then do it as much as you want. And it’s not like we have a patent on it.”\n
“Well, I guess. . .”\n
I guess it’s not unheard of for wild vegetables to be used in a dish. And they did own up to it. . .\n
The thorn in my heart was picked. And the anger in me soon dissipated.\n
“Well. It’s time to get to work. I’m worried about leaving it all up to you.”\n
“Alright.”\n
I went inside to change from my uniform to my work clothes.\n
Even though I started to get used to the girls’ uniform. . .The sailor suit and skirt still confuses me.\n
I got in my own apron. The apron calms.\n
Regardless if I’m a boy or girl.\n

<b>Okay I’m mad. The dad is a freaking moron. You are struggling, and a giant corporation keeps copying your hard work. That isn’t uncommon in real life, but what is, is them coming to stop and apologize. And you say No!?!? How dumb can you be? You are a struggling family own business, take what you can get. Think about your family idiot. Such a dumb </b>conclusion. I hope the hotel does stop regardless in respect. I still like the novel, but that annoyed me. . .Also I did like those last two lines. Show how much she cares about the store.\n
The day of reckoning is coming. Also my updates will slow because of this gosh dang heat. It’s awful. . .\n
