070 â Shadows Looming Ark #6
The bloodline of the Demon King was alive.
Hearing such a shocking revelation, Elgaâs hair stood upright like an angry cat.
âAngmarâs children are alive? How does that make sense? Didnât the whole kingdom erase everything about their existence?â
Maybe it was because of her agitation, but the grip on Mirnaâs collar tightened.
Mirna, who was smaller than Elga, got lifted into the air like a struggling fish on a hook.
âThen say that itâs a lie!â
âI am not lying. Itâs true. Even though the four families removed any trace of the Angmars from the kingdom, we couldnât reach the outside world.â
âDaɱn traitors, you were hiding such a big fact!?â
Elga erupted like a volcano.
The shocking news that Angmarâs bloodline was still alive and flowing was enough to agitate her.
After all, for the safety and peace of the four families, including the Lionessâ, there were no threats more dangerous than those who were originally the legitimate owners of the throne.
So, if I were to be in her position, I would probably have reacted the same.
I was already struggling to avoid the âexecution ending,â and now the fact that there was a survivor of the Angmar Family that could threaten Airaâs throne and the well-being of the four families got exposed. That would make the difficulty too high!
âHey, Theo, did you also know? Am I the only one who didnât know something that even a weird-Ä
ss necromancer knew?â
At that moment, Elgaâs sword was aimed at me.
Nope. I didnât know either, maâamâŠ
â⊠I also didnât know.â
Not until recently, anywayâŠ
But now I knew, and would go through it myself.
Elga wouldâve never thought âthatâ person was right in front of her. If she found out, she would most definitely rip my head out of my torso right away.
Then I heard Professor Balanâs low laugh in my ear. It seemed that she found the infighting funny.
She had probably intended for this to happen, which was why she gave us that information.
Because, even for Balan, she wouldnât dare to underestimate Elga and Mirna. Hence, she wanted to separate the two.
Of course, there was no way for Elga and Mirna to not know that.
âDoes Aira know about this? That the bloodline of the Demon King is alive.â
Elgaâs voice slightly softened. Replying to her question, Mirna shook her head.
âShe probably doesnât know. Iâll explain everything. But for now, there is something that we need to take care of first.â
â⊠Right, letâs settle this first. Explain everything after, without exception.â
Elga and Mirna resolved things sooner than expected. Now, they pointed their attention to Professor Balan, or rather Gamigin, who clicked her tongue.
âIt would have been better if you fought and destroyed each other. Well, thatâs fine. If youâre really in a rush to heII, be my guest.â
Gamigin raised a staff that was as tall as her and began to mumble a spell.
However, Elga immediately rushed forward. She was so fast that one might think she wasnât holding a big halberd.
âDo you think Iâll give you time to cast a spell?â
The halberdâs huge blade flashed vertically in an instant, not giving Gamigin any time to react.
Drawing a half-moon on her trail, Elga had cut Gamigin from the left shoulder to the right thigh.
Gamigin fell in half, ejecting copious amounts of blood.
âThis is nothing, pweh.â
Elga spat on her, but Mirna seemed to have a different opinion.
âItâs not over yet, Lady Lioness! Thereâs no way King Solomonâs magic can be this easy to defeat! Be careful!â
âHeh heh-. Smart. Iâll give you an A.â
At Elgaâs feet, Gamiginâs dismembered body began to cling to each other.
Elga swung her halberd towards the body again to stop the regeneration.
Gamiginâs cut up body continued to tangle and twist like some sticky slime.
Finally, after fully regenerating her body, Gamigin had now transformed into a bigger, stickier monster.
Its body was squishy like a stretchy sea cucumber. It was basically a slug monster with no semblance of a human.
The only thing that remained of Professor Balan was her upper body. At this time, a gigantic mouth in the huge monsterâs belly opened.
What came out was a strange noise that sounded like either a sneer or a slur of words.
âNo, what the heII is this? It looks like dog shiâ ! This hideous thing needs to die!â
It seemed that this was the first time that Elga had seen this terrifying monster. But I had some guesses.
After all, it had a very distinct look and a pressing laugh.
When it came to beings like this, even if it appeared in the original novel as a villain boss of an important plot point, there would be nothing strange about it. Well, because it actually was one!
This fella, wasnât it GamiginăPredator Samiginaă?
In the second part of the novel, the Church Saintess would become the final boss.
There was an event that bridged Saintess Priga fighting the Villain Hunter Party, after she fell into a deep abyss brought upon by the evil forces invading from the barrier.
I remembered that it was an episode in which she searched for traitors in Ark who colluded with the enemies, which became the last bastion.
It was the Predator Samigina who appeared and fell at the end of the ordeal.
According to the description, it looked like a pig that had swelled after drowning in the sea for about a year. And that would be exactly what this was!
