"System Notice: Task 4: Escort Liulianli to the E Province Museum completed, task refreshed."
"System Notice: Task 5: Escort Liulianli to find the museum's treasure, the Sword of Goujian."
The E Province Museum was established in 1953, one of the eight central and local co-built national-level museums in China a thousand years ago, a national first-class museum, a key scientific research base of the National Cultural Heritage Administration, and a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction. It is also the largest and most comprehensive national-level museum in E Province, with the richest collection and the strongest research capabilities.
The E Province Museum is located in the East Lake Scenic Area of Wuhan, covering a total area of 81,909 square meters, with a building area of 49,611 square meters and an exhibition area of 13,427 square meters. It houses the largest ancient musical instrument exhibition hall in China. At the time, the museum had over 200,000 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, with bronze ware, lacquer ware, and bamboo slips being the most distinctive. Among them, there were 945 national first-class cultural relics and 16 national treasures. The four major treasures of the museum include the Sword of Goujian, the Zeng Houyi Chime Bells, the Yunxian Human Skull Fossil, and the Yuan Dynasty Blue-and-White Four-Love Plum Vase.
Such a magnificent museum now stands in ruins, with only half of its walls and structures remaining. On the first day of the Yuan Kuo invasion, a squad of mechs launched a destructive attack on the museum, destroying most of it and leaving only a small part of the building standing.
"Big Brother Guhan, where are we going?" As they walked through the empty, somewhat eerie building, Liulianli couldn't help but feel a chill.
"To the bronze ware exhibition hall," Guhan replied briefly.
"Why are we going there?"
"Because the entrance to the basement is there!!" Guhan lied, "There's a direct passage to the basement, and through it, you can meet your mother."
Liulianli nodded and obediently followed Guhan. Soon, they arrived at the bronze ware exhibition hall. It must be said that this hall had incredible luck; while most of the museum was destroyed, this hall remained unscathed, maintaining its original appearance.
The entire bronze ware exhibition hall was filled with over a hundred transparent glass cabinets, each neatly displaying various bronze artifacts, including bronze swords, bronze tripods, bronze mirrors, bronze musical instruments, and bronze jue cups, among countless others.
However, Liulianli had no interest in these bronze artifacts. He ran around the entire hall but found no sign of a basement entrance. He then went to find Guhan, wanting to ask for an explanation, but found him standing quietly in front of the largest glass cabinet in the center of the hall, silent and motionless.
"Big Brother Guhan! Where is the entrance you mentioned? I can't find it. Please take me to see my mother quickly; you were so eager to bring me here, weren't you?" Liulianli tugged at Guhan's hand, urging him.
"Liulianli, do you know what's inside this cabinet?" Guhan ignored Liulianli's urging and instead pointed to the object inside the glass cabinet, asking Liulianli.
"I don't know. How would I know what's inside...?" Liulianli shook his head quickly, indicating that he had no idea.
"Inside is a sword, a famous sword..." Guhan paused, speaking slowly, "It is the famous Sword of Goujian!!"
Indeed, inside was one of the most famous swords in China, the Sword of Goujian. It was Guhan's primary goal for this mission, and he had tricked Liulianli into coming here to obtain the Sword of Goujian.
"System Notice: Task 5: Escort Liulianli to find the museum's treasure, the Sword of Goujian, completed, task refreshed."
"System Notice: Task 6: Synchronize Liulianli with the Sword of Goujian to awaken it as the Sword Maiden Goujian. Note: Synchronization takes ten minutes. During this period, Liulianli must not be harmed; otherwise, each instance of harm will increase the synchronization time by five minutes."
"System Notice: Task 7: Three swords are placed around the Sword of Goujian. Choose one of these swords as your Sword Maiden and complete synchronization to awaken it as 'Sword Maiden Qingfeng', 'Sword Maiden Baite', or 'Sword Maiden Balian'. Note: The first wave of the Yuan Kuo attack will begin in three minutes. Players must complete synchronization within three minutes."
——
According to historical records, a thousand years ago, the sword ancestor Liulianli, who had been hiding in an honest person's grocery store for five days, received a text message from his mother near the museum and resolutely went to the museum to find her.
After enduring many difficulties and troubles, he finally arrived at the museum. However, while searching for his mother, a group of Yuan Kuo suddenly attacked the museum.
Feeling desperate, the sword ancestor decided to fight the Yuan Kuo to the death. He broke the glass cabinet containing the Sword of Goujian and, upon touching the sword, began the synchronization process. The Sword of Goujian awakened, becoming the world's first sword maiden. Liulianli, the sword ancestor, became the world's first sword wielder. After a difficult and brutal battle, he finally defeated the Yuan Kuo attacking the museum, making him the first human to successfully eliminate the Yuan Kuo.
The initial dungeon in the game repeats this process, and now, the dungeon has reached its most critical moment, the moment of the Sword of Goujian's awakening.
——
"Clang!!" Guhan, holding the Qingpin Sword, forcefully slashed at the glass cabinet, shattering the bulletproof glass and making the four swords inside easily accessible.
"Liulianli, go and pick up the oldest bronze sword in the center!!" Guhan ordered Liulianli. The bronze sword, of course, was the legendary Sword of Goujian.
"Why? I won't!! This belongs to the state; I can't touch it!!" Liulianli shook his head, showing no interest in the sword worth hundreds of millions. He urged Guhan, "Brother, take me to find my mother quickly."
"Your mother is safe underground; you don't need to worry about her." Guhan pulled Liulianli to the window and pointed to the sky. Following Guhan's finger, one could see some black dots approaching in the distance.
"Can you see them? Those black dots are a large wave of Yuan Kuo. Their destination is here. They want to kill every surviving human. They have discovered your mother's existence and want to kill her. We must protect this place and the entrance to the basement to prevent the Yuan Kuo from harming your mother."
"No, they can't hurt my mother. I won't allow it... I won't allow it..." Liulianli took a few steps back, "Guhan, my mother isn't here. You're lying, right!!!"
"Why did you trick me into coming here?"
This child finally noticed the many inconsistencies in Big Brother Guhan.
"Why? Of course, it's to protect humanity!!" Guhan shook his head and then nodded, looking gently into Liulianli's eyes, "I don't have time to explain the details. Trust me and pick up the Sword of Goujian. The sword will explain everything to you."
"Okay, I trust you!" Liulianli bit his lip, turned, and quickly walked to the broken glass cabinet. He took a deep breath and firmly extended his right hand, gripping the hilt of the Sword of Goujian.
"Synchronization —— Begin"
A faint voice quickly echoed. From the moment he touched the hilt, the Sword of Goujian instantly disappeared from the cabinet. Liulianli opened his mouth, looking at Guhan, wanting to ask something, but no sound came out. He was frozen in place, like a statue, at the moment he touched the hilt.
If one were to touch Liulianli's body at this moment, they would find that the soft flesh of the young boy had become as hard as bronze.
——
The Sword of Goujian —— was crafted by King Goujian of Yue using the finest copper from around the world, and personally forged by the divine blacksmiths Ganjiang and Moye. Upon its completion, a true dragon soared into the sky, and Goujian saw it as an omen of his victory over Wu, so he kept it as his personal sword.
The sword is 55.7 cm long, with a handle 8.4 cm long and a width of 4.6 cm. The hilt is curled into a circular shape, with 11 concentric circles cast inside, spaced only 0.2 mm apart. The blade is covered with regular black diamond-shaped patterns, and the sword guard is inlaid with blue glass on the front and green turquoise on the back.
The sword is slender, with a central ridge and sharp edges on both sides. The tip is curved inward. The handle has two raised rings, and the pommel is decorated with concentric circles. The blade is inscribed with the eight characters "Yue Wang Jiu Qian, Zi Zuo Yong Jian" (King of Yue, Goujian, made this sword for personal use). After Goujian defeated Wu, the sword became a royal treasure, passed down through generations of Yue kings.
However, as the world changed, the state of Yue was eventually conquered by Chu. The king of Chu, upon seeing the sword, did not like it and gave it to the high official Qu Yuan. Qu Yuan also did not like the sword and passed it to Chu Yu, who greatly cherished it, wearing it daily and having it buried with him upon his death.
More than two thousand years later, Chu Yu's tomb was excavated by the Chinese, and the Sword of Goujian was rediscovered, subsequently housed in the E Province Museum until the end of the world, when it awakened.
