She and Her Friend’s Troubles
“I am troubled…”
It was my already married friend, Cecilia, who broke the ice.
◇◇◇
Once in a while. It’s really once in a while, but I also host tea parties.
At such occasions, I usually only invite a few close friends.
Today I unusually returned to the ducal residence for a tea party. Freed didn’t look happy about it, but when Brother sided with me saying, “Isn’t it fine?” he relented on the condition that he comes to pick me up immediately after work.
“You could just have a tea party in the castle…”
“I want to see Mother once in a while, sorry.”
“In that case it can’t be helped… Haa. I’ll finish as soon as possible come pick you up.”
“Yup, I’ll be waiting.”
Like that I returned to the mansion and, while enjoying a conversation with Mother for the first time in a while, prepared the tea party.
Who came were the usual members.
Marianne, Char, Tiris, Cecilia, Siris.
Among them, only Cecilia is married. She’s only married recently.
“What’s troubling you?”
Concerned about Cecilia’s sigh, I asked her.
Cecilia looked just a little listless. Siris, her little sister, was watching her worriedly. Marianne, Char, and Tiris also stopped talking and turned their attention to Cecilia.
Under everyone’s gaze Cecilia for some reason hung her head embarrassedly.
“… No, it’s nothing. It is much too improper worry…”
“Improper…. My! Perhaps it’s a night story? By all means please tell us!”
Who reacted to Cecilia’s words was Marianne, for who love stories are favorite food. It might have been inevitable she’d want to pry information from newly-married Cecilia.
“… You won’t laugh?”
“Of course. I wouldn’t laugh at my friend’s story.”
Marianne made a serious face, but I immediately understood she simply wanted to hear the story. The other three seem interested as well, so I won’t admonish Marianne.
… In my previous life conversations between girl friends often turned to that, and it’s the same in this world I reincarnated in. There’s little entertainment here, so women might be even more straightforward.
If a man heard it, he wouldn’t believe his ears what is said without batting an eyelid during daytime. Of course, I cleared out people.
With everyone’s attention on her, Cecilia began with, “Then――.”
It seems she also wants to ask something.
“As a matter of fact, the husband I married… at night…”
“Yes! What is it?”
Marianne really got into it. It must be a talk she’d hoped for. Everyone’s faces were sparkling… I didn’t intend for it to happen, but I was right to make the waiting maids withdraw.
While everybody was getting excited, I alone sipped tea.
Everyone except Cecilia is unmarried, but I live with Freed. It’s not much different from being married. Regarding nights… I have more than enough of it myself, so I don’t want to listen to others’ stories.
While I was enjoying the tea, Cecilia resolved herself and spoke.
“Um… My husband desires me twice every night… Err.”
It’s a truly specific story.
As Cecilia unusually spoke ambiguously, I put down my cup and said.
“Are you worried whether your husband loves you? Certainly, I think two times are a little insufficient, but I’ve heard all men are different, so I wouldn’t worry too much.”
“Eh…”
Once or twice is certainly unsatisfying, but it’s not a dead bedroom either. But Cecilia is a newlywed. It’s not like I don’t understand her worries. When I nodded with that feeling, for some reason not only Cecilia, but everyone looked at me in astonishment.
Unable to understand, I tilted my head.
“Eh? We’re talking about your husband only doing it once or twice, right? Am I wrong?”
“Um, umm… Lady Lidiana…”
“Eh?”
Before Cecilia could say something, Marianne writhed while covering her cheeks with her hands.
“Wow. That means the Crown Prince doesn’t stop at two times! Lady Lidiana! Certainly, certainly please tell us the details!”
“!”
Damn it.
Hearing Marianne’s delighted shriek, I finally realized that I’d said something bad and quickly turned pale.
Since I have the Royal Flower and we live together, it’s obvious to everyone I have a sexual relationship with Freed.
It would be meaningless to hide it now, and I don’t mean to hide it.
However. Eh? I-Isn’t two times little? Am I wrong?
In the current situation of three times a set, I don’t know what’s normal.
I tried asking a few times, but what Brother says is unreliable, and I have no one else to ask. In the end, I still don’t know the average value.
“Er… Err…”
As my gaze wandered about, Cecilia said while still showing a surprised expression.
“Lady Lidiana… Umm. I wanted to ask for advice because doing it a few times every day is hard on my body, but… the Crown Prince is fierce at night too. And the number of times is above mine. And yet you can keep up with it, Lady Lidiana! Aah, please tell me your secret.”
“S-Secret!?”
“Yes, please!”
As Cecilia leaned forward, I broke into a cold sweat.
By the way, Char, Tiris, Siris were also watching me with eyes sparkling with expectations.
Marianne… It needn’t be said.
Everyone loves girls’ talk too much…
I desperately racked my brain over how to gloss over my complete slip of the tongue.
However, no good idea came to me.
B-But it couldn’t be helped.
I don’t know what’s the ordinary number of times a night.
I only know about Freed, so naturally he’d become my standard.
If Freed ended at two times, I’d worry about his health.
“E-Even if you ask me about my secret…”
It’s just a happy time that feels good. I don’t do anything special. If I had to say, I’m alright because I have the Royal Flower, but I can’t talk to Cecilia and others about it, so there’s nothing I can say.
But Cecilia further asked with serious eyes.
“I very well understand it’s an improper talk. However, I would like to ask you. Lady Lidiana, how many times do you associate with the Crown Prince in a single night? Could I ask this? Just hearing it would be helpful…”
“Er… Err.”
Clearing out people backfired.
It should’ve been an easy-going chat between friends, but it’s like my interrogation now.
However, no matter how much I’m asked, I can’t be foolishly honest and say, “About seven to eight times a night, I guess. And then often in the morning, and occasionally when Freed comes back during the day.”
I understand Cecilia is seriously troubled, nevertheless I can’t say it.
As a result, I could only return a vague answer.
“I… I don’t remember much, umm…”
Marianne pointlessly supplemented my answer.
“That means you are loved so much you can’t remember? How wonderful!”
“W-Wrong…”
“That’s Onee-sama for you!”
For some reason, Char endorsed Marianne going into a strange direction.
The talk kept progressing without me being listened to.
“I heard rumors about the Crown Prince’s passionate affection, but I didn’t expect it to be so strong. Perhaps you are being loved until morning? Of course, that’s just my delusion, but kyaa! You’re loved like a heroine of a story! That’s Lady Lidiana for you!”
“…”
What’s scary is that what’s a delusion for Marianne is the reality for me. Scary… And after all, Freed’s matchlessness is on the level of a delusion, huh…
Ha ha ha. Unconsciously I stared off into space.
When I dryly laughed, Char, and even Cecilia began talking.
“It’s natural Onee-sama would be loved. What a wonderful person she is for declawing that Crown Prince. I am more and more charmed.”
“… Every day until morning… I am ashamed of myself. Lady Lidiana serves the Crown Prince with that slender body, and yet I give up with only two times. I must serve my husband more. Thank you, Lady Lidiana. I’ll try harder. That’s why please, tell me your secret.”
“No, um… Listen… You’re wrong…”
There’s no such thing, but I absolutely want to be spared from a strange rumor spreading.
But no one is listening to me. They’re all getting excited on their own.
And Cecilia is persistently asking me about my secret, but there really is no such thing.
“Aah. The rumors that Lady Lidiana is adored are not for show! After all the main cause of Lady Lidiana becoming even more beautiful recently is the Crown Prince’s love! It’s thanks to love!”
“M-Marianne. Please, calm down…”
“Lady Lidiana. Please tell me the secret, no, advice!”
“Cecilia, you too. Please, calm down…”
While on the verge of crying, I calmed both of them, but it was hopeless.
In the end, I lost to Cecilia’s persistence.
“… L-Let’s see. If nights are demanding, I wonder if you could ask to rest in the morning. And then, it would be easier on your body if you prepared something to restore your stamina. However Cecilia, it’s important you yourself build up stamina.”
I sensed she wouldn’t give up if I hadn’t said anything, so I told her something convincing.
Cecilia nodded again and again.
While watching it, I thought, “Why does a married person consult with me?”
◇◇◇
“Thank you for the invitation, Lady Lidiana. Well then, excuse me. Please invite me again at any time.”
The talk, that was honestly speaking dreadful, continued since then, and I was made to confess various things, but despite taking great damage to mind, I maintained a smile.
“Yeah, I’ll invite you again. I think it will be after the wedding though.”
“I think I will have a great deal of things to ask then, so I’m looking forward to it even more.”
“I-I see…”
While feeling dejected by Marianne’s sparkling eyes, I spoke to my other friends. The tea party finally ended and it was about time for everyone to go home.
“Ah…”
“Lidi!”
I came to the entrance to see everyone off. From the other opposite direction of the carriages that came for everyone, Freed appeared on a white horse. Seeing my beloved, my mouth shaped into a smile on its own.
His nostalgic figure in a mantle was exactly like a prince on a white horse. It suited him very much.
“Freed.”
“I came to pick you up, Lidi.”
“Yup, I’m happy.”
Freed got off the horse, came to my side with a smile, and with natural movements hugged me.
Without opposing, I settled in his arms.
Mmhm, happiness.
“I thought you’d come a little later.”
When I said that as I raised my face, Freed said, “Surprised?” with satisfaction.
“I wanted to come pick you up as soon as possible, so I did my best to finish. You’re done here, right? Let’s go back together.”
“Yup…”
Tightly hugged by Freed, I wrapped my arms around his back.
I was told he’d be late today, so I didn’t expect him to come so fast. His speed was beyond my expectations, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m happy.
“Wonderful…”
“Ah!?”
Hearing a dreamlike voice, I returned to sanity.
That’s right. I completely forgot, but I was still in the middle of seeing off my friends. Having recalled that, I raised a tiny shriek.
Perhaps Freed noticed that too, as he uttered, “Aah,” and released me.
I was so unbearably embarrassed that I hid behind Freed’s back.
As he softly stroked my hair, I became even more embarrassed.
When I tightly grasped Freed’s coat, he chuckled.
“It seems you were in the middle of seeing off your friends. I’m sorry for bothering you. I wanted to bring you back as soon as possible.”
“N-No. The tea party is over, and we are already going home, so, umm… please don’t worry… and take Princess Consort with you.”
It was Cecilia who responded incoherently.
My other friends too bowed their heads in panic.
Freed nodded with a gentle smile.
“Thank you. I will take you on that. Lidi, let’s go.”
“Yu… Yup. Um… Everyone, I’m sorry.”
“No. The Crown Prince came to pick you up. Thank you very much for the enjoyable time.”
Marianne who answered with a wide grin was scary. While thinking that I will be thoroughly questioned again, I just said, “Thank you.”
Freed put me on the horse and grasped the reins. As the horse began running, I could clearly hear vaguely dreadful words that made me want to plug my ears, such as, “Kyaa! That is the ideal prince! Wonderful!” “He came for her! I wonder how far his love for Lady Lidiana goes! I absolutely must inform everybody in the Support Association!” Freed laughed so much his shoulders trembled.
“F-Freed. You’re laughing too much…”
“Yup. Sorry. But I feel like I understand why they’re your friends, Lidi.”
I entrusted my body to Freed, who was laughing happily, and raised my voice.
“Ah, that’s right. I haven’t told Mother that I’m going back… She’ll worry.”
“It’s alright. Alex will be going back very soon. I’ll ask him to pass the message. Besides, you said from the beginning you’d go back when I came to pick you up, right?”
“Yup, I did.”
I’d reported it properly. When I nodded, Freed said, “Then it’s even more okay.”
“Lidi, the guards of your house noticed I came, so there will be some sort of report. That’s why – let’s go back? I want to quickly shut myself in the room with you.”
“Ah…”
Freed blew into my ear.
The last words were said in such a passionate voice that I became lost for words.
I recalled Marianne and others repeatedly saying “Wonderful, wonderful,” just before.
For now, from the information I obtained it seems that even if it can’t be helped at night, people don’t usually embrace each other during the day.
I tried to immediately put the newfound knowledge into practice and refuse the invitation, but――.
“I love you. My dear Lidi. I beg you, don’t be so mean. I want to love you, Lidi.”
When Freed pleaded in a coaxing voice while gently stroking my body, I capitulated all too quickly.
―― Uu. I can’t refuse Freed’s invitations.
Fundamentally, I love Freed too much, so I can’t say no to his wishes.
After all, the big problem is that I don’t dislike it.
And so, driven to the wall, I had only one answer.
“… I-It’s still evening, so g-go easy on me, okay?”
“Yup, got it.”
Freed smiled cheerfully. Seeing his face, I thought it was absolutely a lie, but I didn’t say anything else.
I sighed slightly and resolved myself.
―― No matter how much Marianne asks about today later, I absolutely won’t tell her.
However, whether I can manage it or not… Still, for the sake of my reputation, I want only God to know.
