It was a magical experience to ascend to the second floor of An Yu Yi Yu.
Although the upward staircase was very ordinary, after ascending to the second floor, the hallway turned out to be… transparent.
What appeared before Su Zimo on the second floor wasn’t really a hallway, but a circular lounge. There were several white wooden doors along the curved lounge wall. Three of had the names ‘Peng Peng,’ ‘Ghost Umbrella,’ and ‘Zhang Xiaoqing,’ which was probably related to their identities as ghosts of the shop.
“Boss, can we have our own rooms?”
Peng Peng, who had been floating quietly behind Su Zimo, came over and tugged on the corner of his sleeve.
After the shop upgrade, Peng Peng could feel that the original environment had changed a lot, so he followed closely behind Su Zimo the entire time. Even Zhang Xiaoqing appeared from Ghost Call and followed behind alongside Ghost Umbrella.
Among the three ghosts, the one who was most curious about the living space was Peng Peng.
“Yes, it’s your own room.” Su Zimo patted Peng Peng’s head. “You can go inside and look.”
After Peng Peng and the calm-seeming Zhang Xiaoqing opened the doors and walked in, Su Zimo continued looking around the second floor of An Yu Yi Yu.
In addition to those doors, there was a large comfortable-looking couch in the lounge. It seemed to be a place for the shop members to rest.
There was also a transparent glass cabinet in the middle that could be used to hold things.
Looking at the furnishings, Su Zimo couldn’t help but wonder. When a shop owner sat on that couch with more ghosts than Su Zimo has now, would they have all kinds of food in the glass cabinet and host an exclusive party in the shop?
Su Zimo’s vision had been expanded with the brand new second floor, but the completely transparent floor still surprised him. Because he could see through the floor, every corner of the first floor directly below and even the slight movements of the Shouhua were clearly visible.
The strange thing was that Su Zimo remembered there was a giant crystal chandelier on the first floor of the shop, but Su Zimo couldn’t see it through the transparent floor under his feet. It made him suspect that the floor wasn’t transparent, but more like a big screen. Maybe the crystal chandelier was the camera.
Su Zimo speculated wildly.
[Master, the rest area on the second floor and the floors of each room have the same settings. Everyone cans say Ayuyuyu’s name, then Ayuyuyu can help open or close the floor screen!] What Ayuyuyu said seemed to verify Su Zimo’s guess.
But this way, even if Su Zimo or the shop attendant ghosts wanted to rest on the second floor, they could check the shop’s activity from anywhere.
The lounge was actually the same size as the first floor, but there were still a lot of white wooden doors around it. Su Zimo logically guessed that the space on the second floor may be larger than that of the first floor! The spaces behind the wooden doors were just like magic.
Su Zimo glanced around, then saw a ‘warehouse’ sign hanging on the door nearest the stairs. That should be what Su Zimo wanted to find.
Turning around and approaching the warehouse, Su Zimo turned the round doorknob. The darkness between the cracks of the door instantly became as bright as day as Su Zimo opened the door.
The area within the warehouse wasn’t too large or too small. It looked a bit like the store before the upgrade with a few similar white shelves.
The floor of the warehouse was also transparent. It showed images from a corner of the shop that Su Zimo couldn’t figure out. Although it was convenient, it wasn’t helpful for Su Zimo to check the inventory in the warehouse.
So Su Zimo asked Ayuyuyu to close the screen on the warehouse floor.
"
"
Although the screen was closed, the entire warehouse was still as bright as day even without lights. Su Zimo didn’t know where its light source was.
Without the floor’s interference, Su Zimo could focus on looking at the four shelves in the warehouse.
The merchandise on the shelves didn’t give him the same dazzling array of emotion, but compared to Su Zimo’s precious inventory… it was a lot!
And the shelves were strictly organized at first glance.
On the first shelf there were over a dozen ghost tools shaped like physical weapons. None of them were simple standard daggers. Some were rusty and simple, and some looked fancy.
Some were long swords with tassels, some where whips that glowed silver. There was also a nail that was very rusty quietly mixed into the group of physical weapons.
What shocked Su Zimo the most was that when he looked through the glasses, the entire shelf of ghost tools were all three stars!
It’s as if anything below three stars couldn’t enter the gaze of the former owner.
These ghost tools in the shape of physical weapons seemed to be alive. When Su Zimo’s hand lightly touched the ghost tools, he unexpectedly found that they trembled slightly and emitted soft whispers.
“Ayuyuyu, did the former owner really stop selling anything after upgrading to Level 3? Did they close the shop? After all, if the shop was open, at these prices, it was impossible that no one would care about these ghost tools.”
[The shop is always open.] Ayuyuyu’s voice appeared. [But the former owner said that ghost tools above level three already had their own consciousness, so they had the ability to choose a new owner by themselves.]
[But if the guests who come to the store don’t attract their attention, there isn’t any need to sell those ghost tools.]
"
"
After Ayuyuyu’s voice disappeared, the ghost tools whispered again, sounding as if they were pleased with Su Zimo as their new owner.
But Su Zimo didn’t know what they were pleased with.
Su Zimo quickly stopped after the goods on the second shelf. There were six dolls on it.
The dolls weren’t the teddy bear kind of dolls that Su Zimo sold before. They were puppets, dolls, and ragdolls almost one third Su Zimo’s height. They were all humanoid dolls, and they were all female with bright lips.
[Hee hee–]
[He he–]
When he stopped in front of the second shelf, Su Zimo heard light but strange laughter. The source should be the dolls.
[Grown up…]
[Small… Big…]
[Handsome…]
Vaguely, Su Zimo heard some inexplicable words.
But with all his heart, although Su Zimo felt the three star ghost dolls were kind of creepy, they didn’t feel malicious to him. Instead, they felt strangely familiar.
Su Zimo nodded and smiled at the dolls. He soon saw that the six doll heads were gently pointed. There also seemed to be one small doll who was originally standing there quietly, but in the blink of an eye she changed her posture to lift her skirt with both hands, appearing to bow in greeting to Su Zimo.
After gathering his wits, Su Zimo walked to the third shelf with a slight chuckle.
