Ji Qingqing unhurriedly added food to her bowl. She really didn’t want to bother with responding Lu Liting’s goading. “Since you said yourself that the video has come out, then you should know that I didn’t do anything wrong.”

“If you didn’t go looking for her to cause her trouble, she wouldn’t have gotten injured.”

Ji Qingqing looked at him in surprise. “How did you know I went looking for her to cause her trouble? Do you have evidence?”

“Everyone is saying that Shen Weiwei is so pitiful because she was injured, but what about me?”

“You?” Lu Liting looked at her from top to bottom. “You’re eating well and drinking well. You weren’t the one injured. What could be wrong with you?”

“I clearly didn’t do anything, but I had to carry the crime of pushing someone down a hill. Because of this, I was detained in a cell for a few days. I almost ended up serving a prison sentence and compensating Shen Weiwei for a crime I was innocent of. I had to endure her fans hurling abuse at me. What did I do wrong? I’m the one that’s innocent in this situation. I’m clearly the victim, and I’m protesting this injustice that was done to me. Why am I wrong for holding her accountable? What right do you and other people have to find fault with me?

Lu Liting grinded his back teeth. “Don’t you just want money? Name your price. I’ll pay it as long as you promise to let Weiwei off.”

Ji Qingqing shrugged. “Why do I have to name a price? Right now, I’m Mrs. Lu. Your older brother has so much money I would never be able to spend it all. Besides, it was Shen Weiwei that said she was willing to take full responsibility. I’m just fulfilling her wish. Anyways, I’ll feel unhappy if I stay silent and don’t get justice for myself.”
