Rofas-san was taken aback, and didn’t grab the leather bag that Bryce-kun held out to him.
「You, how many days has it been since you could use magic? You can even do bestowal magic now?」
Bestowal magic?
「Why, I don’t know. It’s fine as long as it works, right?」
Rofas-san took the bag from Bryce-kun and said 「Activate.」Immediately after, the empty bag began fattening up. It looked like the inside was filled to the brim with water.
「It’s so warm.」
Rofas-san said. He touched the hot water as he poured it onto the ground.
「Ahh, this feels the same as the water earlier. It’s not hot enough to burn you, but it’s not lukewarm either. It feels tepid in your mouth, and… What else?」
Bryce-kun grinned.
「Now you can ask for a usage fee to get the key phrase sixty-three degrees, which produces this perfect temperature.」
「I see now. You can adjust the temperature of the hot water anytime as long as you remember it. A magic tool that is easy to carry around on trips and can be used to process the beasts you capture should sell well among the adventurers who have a decent amount of money, even if it’s a bit expensive.」
「I think this will sell well amongst the butchers as they have to process a lot of animals a day.」
Bryce-kun said, and Rofas-san nodded in agreement.
「It might not make that much money, but are you okay with that?」
What are they talking about?
I don’t really get it, but nobody loses anything? Therefore it’s okay?
「It’s okay.」
「Okay, let’s see. Do you have a non-elemental magic stone? Preferably the chargeable type. 」
Chargeable? Like a battery? What’s a non-elemental magic stone?
I really don’t get it anymore.
Rofas-san took a diamond-like stone off of his belt.
「I only have this one right now.」
「Is it okay for you to take it off? That stone probably gave you some sort of effect on your belt, no?」
「Oh, it raises my agility by twenty points, but that can’t be compared to the amount that Yuuri’s cooking gives me though.」
「If it raises your agility by twenty, just how many gold coins does it cost…」
Gold coins?! It must be expensive then!
「Besides, did you forget that the buffs from Yuuri-san’s food run out after some time?」
「Oh yeah, that’s true. It’s been about two hours since we ate. Status open. Oh, the buffs are gone, even though I’m not hungry yet… It disappeared faster than I thought.」
Rofas-san looked troubled.
「Hey Bryce, I change my mind, give that back to me after all.」
Bryce-kun wacked away Rofas-san’s hand.
Then, Bryce-kun placed the pinky nail-sized non-elemental stone on the palm of his left hand, and picked up the pen-like object he used earlier with his right.
「Activate when copy is said. Temper the spell with mana and copy it onto the object being pressed against. Record the number of times copied. The spell will activate the following when told to activate, and stop when told to cancel: the water magic stone will release water in the leather bag until it’s full. The fire magic stone will heat the water and keep it at sixty-three degrees constantly.」
Bryce-kun held out his hand to Rofas-san this time.
「I want to test this, so give me your leather bag please.」
「You know, I’m not always going to be carrying around whatever you wish for.」
Rofas-san glared at Bryce-kun slightly.
「Kirika will lend you hers. Here you go, Bryce-oniichan.」
When did Kirika-chan grab her leather bag from the hut? Kirika-chan handed her leather bag, which was smaller than Rofas-san’s, to Bryce-kun with moment of perfect timing.
「Copy. Can you see if the spell works?」
Bryce-kun returned the bag.
「Let’s see, activate, right? Ah, cool, there’s so much warm water in here already!」
「That’s good, that means it worked. Here you go. Can you report about this to the guild and negotiate the cost of the usage fee for sixty-three degrees?」
Bryce-kun gave Rofas-san the non-elemental magic stone, but Rofas-san still looked unconvinced of the situation.
「You’ve got to me kidding me. I’ve never heard of a magic tool being used to make other magic tools. No, not only that, this magic is on the same level as the elf king’s who appears in legends. How is it possible that a person who only started using magic yesterday could do something like this?」
Ahh, Bryce-kun did mention that he has elven blood in him… Are elves good at magic?
In that case, it’s not strange at all.
「No, I ran out of mana now, as expected.」
「But you could use such complex magic like bestowal, even after using so many magic skills during training… Just how much mana do you have…?」
Rofas-san pressed his fingers against the temple of his forehead.
「Ah, now that you’re out of mana, you can see how much you can recover. Yuuri, do you have a dish that uses MP potions?」
Ah.
「No, not yet… Um, I was thinking of serving it during breakfast…」
I couldn’t say that the lotus root dish was ready. I’m sorry, I forgot about it.
