“U-Uh, do men like black or red, after all?”
“I think white is more orthodox for Ellie, rather than being too fussy? But I think it would be nice to have something pretty in white as well.”
“T-Then, I guess I’ll take …… this one.”
Stella accompanied me to a clothing store, which I called food shopping.
Of course, I was preparing to go to Alex’s place, and since there is no store over there, I came to buy more clothes – especially underwear.
However, to make sure Roland doesn’t think I’m acting weird, I actually buy some food.
“Stella, thanks. Well, I’ll leave the clothes I bought with Ms. Tabitha and return to the inn.”
“I understand. That’s all the clothes we need, what else is left, like …… cooking utensils?”
“Hm. I’m thinking of going over there as soon as I get all the food-related stuff together so that I can win Alex’s heart with a delicious meal.”
“I see. I guess you will go to Alex’s place tomorrow or the next day or two, since it will be too late now, it’ll be suspicious.”
I nodded broadly at Stella’s words and went to the guild first.
Stella will bring back the food, and I’ll bring these clothes to Ms. Tabitha at …… Oh, there she is!
“Ms. Tabitha. Excuse me, can I ask you to ……”
“Ellie! Just in time! Come with me for a minute!”
For some reason, Ms. Tabitha, who looked a little angry, took me into the guild’s small room…
“Ellie. I just talked to Mr. Alex, but …… I have good news and bad news. I have two things to tell you.”
She presses me with great force.

“The good news is that …… when I told Mr. Alex that Ellie wanted to go to his place, he said he was so happy.”

Geez. Alex said he’d be so happy if he could live alone with me …… that I got carried away.

“Mr. Alex thinks that Ellie and Mr. Roland are lovers. That’s why he’s concerned that if Ellie comes to him, it will cause problems ……”

Roland and I are lovers? Why? We’re just childhood friends, though? I’ve never looked at Roland that way, not once.
“Um, Ms. Tabitha. I don’t understand, why does Alex think that Roland and I are lovers?”
“Mr. Alex said that that’s what Mr. Roland told him.”
“What!? Why!? I don’t understand!”
“…… I’m just guessing from here, but Mr. Alex probably liked Ellie, too. But he believed the lie that Mr. Roland told him, and when he thought that his beloved Ellie was taken away from him, he was so brokenhearted and in despair that he left the party!”
“So Alex and I were originally in love with each other!? Oh god! Roland!”
After entrusting a large amount of clothing with Ms. Tabitha, I hurried back to the inn and went to Roland’s room.
“Roland! What’s going on!”
“Ellie? What’s up, all of a sudden?”
“What do you mean “What’s up”! When did Roland and I become lovers!? Why did you tell Alex that lie?”
“Ellie, what the hell are you talking about? Let’s calm down for once.”
“Ms. Tabitha told me! The real reason Alex left the party!”
Roland said that Alex left the party because he couldn’t defeat monsters, but I’m sure that’s also a lie.
If Roland hadn’t told me such a nonsensical lie, I would be flirting and lovey-dovey with Alex right now!
“The real reason Alex left the party? That’s because, as I said before, he hasn’t been active. Besides, Ellie and I are lovers, right?”
“What are you talking about!? Why are I and Roland lovers?”
“We’ve always been together since we were little. We’ve even held hands.”
“What time was that! If that’s why we’re together, then so is Alex! And if you’re talking about when we were kids, Alex has been in the bathtub with me and slept in the same bed with me before!”

I really had a few more things I wanted to prepare, but today, at this very moment, I decided to leave the party.
