While He Anran’s team goes back to fishing, Liu Yu’an’s team is already finished with dinner asks the host Cui Shaolin, “Cui-ge, can we move around ourselves?”
“Sure,” he replies, “just be back in time for the bonfire party. The cameraman will follow you around though for footage and safety.”
Lan Shi has a happy yelp hearing that reply, then asks Shao Yanxi, “Mr. Shao, where will you be heading next?”
Xue Junming, who knew of Liu Yu’an and Shao Yanxi already, has already assumed Liu Yu’an and Shao Yanxi will be moving alone, and has started walking out, but now stays on cordiality grounds, waiting for the reply.
“We’ll be walking around,” Shao Yanxi replies with his poker face.
As Shao Yanxi has always appeared rather cold and stern, Lan Shi fails to get the deeper context and points over to the other side of the shoreline, “there’s a long strip of land poking into the water over that way, Mr. Shao, do you want to go see?”
“That’s the breakwater. It seems Mr. Shao is busy, so I’ll go with you?” Xue Junming helps Lan Shi out seeing Shao Yanxi not readily replying.
“Oh, sure,” Lan Shi sighs in relief. She also finally realised that Shao Yanxi really isn’t interested. She then says, “then Xue-ge and I will be over there, and you can probably find us there later.”
Seeing them leave, Liu Yu’an feels somewhat impressed by celebrities’ reaction times. Shao Yanxi’s reply just now already made things awkward, but they can still somehow turn the whole atmosphere around.
That is when his hand is pinched.
Shao Yanxi is staring at him coldly, a little fire prancing about protesting in his eyes, asking, “good-looking for you?”
Liu Yu’an takes a while to work out what he’s asking – Lan Shi’s shoulder-length long hair… How is he somehow getting jealous over that.
“Not as good-looking as you!”
The staff and Cui Shaolin nearby “…”
They thought Shao Yanxi topped, but looking at their interaction, with how Liu Yu’an is looking like the husband who couldn’t hold back from looking at a beauty on the road and gets a beatdown from the wife and has to coo the wife back, is he the top instead?
And everyone’s gazes towards Liu Yu’an changes. A man who slept the wealthiest man in the world?
Amazing. A-mazing.
The show wanted to show how everyone was having fun during their free time, but this clinginess of Shao Yanxi and Liu Yu’an… No, they don’t dare.
Shao Yanxi wasn’t actually angry with jealousy in the first place, but hearing that still makes his mood soar.
Though when he sees Cui Shaolin and the cameraman still nearby, his face shifts visibly as he is suddenly embarrassed.
Every time he’s relaxed around Liu Yu’an he’d forget about the others around, and end up embarrassing himself, at least, according to him.
He gives Liu Yu’an a blaming gaze before leading him in the opposite direction that Lan Shi left.
Liu Yu’an holds his hand, and says, “the director said this is near the boundary between Anxi and Lai, right? Let’s see if we can reach Anxi.”
“Oh? Sure,” Shao Yanxi replies, then locking fingers with Liu Yu’an’s fingers.
Liu Yu’an can feel his movement and looks down at their locked hands, but then his attention shifts to Shao Yanxi’s reddened arms, and asks, “does it hurt?”
Even though they already borrowed some sunscreen from He Anran, Shao Yanxi has still been sunburnt.
“It does,” Shao Yanxi says, dragging Liu Yu’an’s hand towards his waist, “this place hurts the most.”
He was only wearing a fitting T-shirt. It’s not loose, so when he had to lean down to catch fish, his waist was exposed to direct sunlight. Half a day and it’s already burnt, though it’s not severe. He just feels like making Liu Yu’an feel for him.
And he does, giving him light touches on his waist, saying, “let me see.”
He’s touched Shao Yanxi’s waist numerous times already, and this time, instead of smooth, glistening skin, it feels a bit rough to the touch.
Liu Yu’an even feels slightly angry at this, and says rather harshly, “why didn’t you say something when it’s this bad already?!”
Shao Yanxi is a bit surprised that he is getting a scolding instead of sweet soothing words. He explains meekly, “it’s not bad. I’d have told you.”
“ This is not bad?” Liu Yu’an sounds even angrier, “then does your skin have to fall off for it to be bad?”
That is when a large wave happens to slosh by, and Liu Yu’an quickly lifts him off the ground reflexively, and they both are surprised.
“Let me down now!” Shao Yanxi pushes Liu Yu’an; the cameraman is not far behind them.
Liu Yu’an puts him down. Then Shao Yanxi slowly wraps his finger around Liu Yu’an’s, saying, “I’ll be more careful, so don’t be angry, ok?”
“… I’m not,” Liu Yu’an sighs, and takes his hand, saying sincerely and sternly, “when Xiao-Zhang is back later, we’ll put some soothing cream on you. Make sure you don’t overdo it again in the future, alright?” Xiao-Zhang was sent off for medicine and sunscreen when they left the forest earlier.
“Alright.”
With the light breeze from the ocean on the one side, and the person he loves, and who cares for him in turn, on the other side, makes Shao Yanxi feel loved and happy.
If not for the two cameramen behind them, he’d want to kiss Liu Yu’an right then and there.
Though they’re pretty much clinging all the way just short of a kiss anyway. It even makes the cameraman miss his own doting wife staying at home.
“Those rocks out there,” Liu Yu’an says, pointing to the rather obvious stone cuboid among a bunch of large rocks in the front, “looks like they’re the dividing line between Anxi and Lai, right?”
“That way?” Shao Yanxi looks around, then says, “maybe.”
About the shoreline, if there really has to be a border around here, then it’s very likely the border is marked by something like an out-of-place regularly cut stone among a bunch of misformed rocks.
The two of them then head towards the rocks. Then Liu Yu’an lets go of Shao Yanxi’s hand, saying, “I’ll try to climb over.”
The rocks are lashed by the waves regularly, so they’re smooth and slippery.
“I want to go too.”
Liu Yu’an can see the sparkle in Shao Yanxi’s eye, and thinks for a little before saying, “alright, I’ll help support you, but be careful ok?”
“Don’t worry,” he isn’t that physically crippled, at least, he thinks.
They make it onto the cuboid without accident; it’s dry up there. Shao Yanxi took a photo of Liu Yu’an when he was climbing up too.
Then Liu Yu’an suddenly recalls his pack of memes, and takes Shao Yanxi’s phone while he’s distracted, saying, “let me see.”
Shao Yanxi ‘mm’s without much protest, before noticing that Liu Yu’an is looking through his album. He finally remembers all the candid photos of Liu Yu’an he took and wants to take his phone back.
Liu Yu’an obviously refuses, and even threatens him, “if you keep trying to take the phone back I’ll kiss you right here.”
Shao Yanxi is in shock over how shameless he is.
He can only try to verbally protect his rights, “… you can’t delete them. Please.”
“I won’t, I won’t,” Liu Yu’an says, and pulls him towards him, making him sit.
Then they look through the photos together; they’re all ugly as would be expected of candid photos. Liu Yu’an turns over to Shao Yanxi, suddenly asking, “Yanxi, are you busy these days?”
“Not really, what’s wrong?” Shao Yanxi answers with reservations; he feels like there’s a trap in this topic.
“You should sign up for photography classes.”
“You don’t like my photos?”
“And you do , somehow?” Liu Yu’an puts his phone right in his face, “don’t you seriously realise how ugly I look in them? Is there even one good photo of me in here?”
“… I took them on purpose.”
“Fine!” Liu Yu’an gives him his phone back, “then I want you to take a good-looking photo of me right here, right now.”
Shao Yanxi doesn’t move.
Liu Yu’an doesn’t concede either, staring right at him.
“You’re so fussy,” Shao Yanxi is the one to give in this time, continuing, “I know I can’t do photos, but why do I have to learn? I don’t even plan on photographing anything else.”
“Yeah, yeah, you’re right,” Liu Yu’an puts his hand over his shoulder, “come here,” and Shao Yanxi leans over.
Then Liu Yu’an takes a new photo, and points to it, “quickly switch out that ugly photo on your background,” it’s burning his eyes.
“I think it looks good.”
“Really?” Liu Yu’an points to the photo of him sprawled on the bed sleeping with amazing bed hair.
“Yeah.”
“… Fine, whatever,” Liu Yu’an feels a bit helpless as he hands the phone back to Shao Yanxi.
But when he hands the phone to Shao Yanxi, there’s suddenly a message [Welcome to Anxi…] received on the phone.
They look at each other, and then laugh together.
“So we’re in both provinces right now?”
“Yeah,” Shao Yanxi shakes his phone. Liu Yu’an takes his own phone out, and there, no messages on his own phone. He walks over, and soon enough, a message comes.
“We really are at the border,” Shao Yanxi says.
Meanwhile, under the cuboid stone, the cameramen have already switched off their camera and are currently talking about their own kids on the rocks.
Shao Yanxi glances at them then hesitantly drags Liu Yu’an up, walking a few steps further, then makes Liu Yu’an get onto a lower rock before lifting Liu Yu’an’s chin on the taller rock and kiss him, like how Liu Yu’an kisses him usually, lifting up his chin while he is lowering his head.
Who knows how long he’s been waiting for an opportunity to do this. Liu Yu’an almost can’t help but laugh, but then Shao Yanxi pats him on the face, “focus,” it’s something he said to Shao Yanxi in the past.
Liu Yu’an can’t hold back his laughter anymore, and starts chuckling. It pisses of Shao Yanxi, who makes a rough bite on Liu Yu’an’s mouth, making him gasp, “trying to murder your own husband here?”
Shao Yanxi wanted to retort at first, but then he seems shocked at the blood. He pushes on it with his finger, as if it will conceal the wound.
“I broke your skin,” he says, embarrassed, “what should we do?”
If they just go back like this, everyone else will see and know that he bit him on the lips.
Seeing how uncomfortable he was, Liu Yu’an switches the topic while smiling, “maybe we can buy a chewing toy for you to grind your teeth when we’re home.”
It’s not the first time Shao Yanxi has successfully bit through his skin already.
“Go away,” chewing toy? What, is he a cat?
What an outrageous guy.
Shao Yanxi is agitated enough to forget about the embarrassment as they descend back down from the stone.
