When the two are home from dinner, it’s already past nine.
“No work tonight, right?” Liu Yu’an asks.
“No,” Shao Yanxi replies, heading into his own bedroom, and Liu Yu’an follows behind him.
When Shao Yanxi looks at him with a curious expression, he says, “go get showered first.”
He will definitely remember how Shao Yanxi looked for toyboys and complained about how he doesn’t satisfy him earlier that day, which, Shao Yanxi has apparently already forgotten.
When Shao Yanxi finally recalls their earlier conversation, he turns stiff like a zombie. Thankfully he is always expressionlessly robotic anyway, so it isn’t too obvious.
Not that it’s any trouble to our resident Shao Yanxi-observer, who clearly sees how nervous he is.
Ho, how prideful he was during the day anointing toyboys left and right. Now look at how nervous he is but is still acting tough. Liu Yu’an smiles a little.
Shao Yanxi really is cute.
Then Shao Yanxi quickly steps into the bathroom. In the meantime, Liu Yu’an decides to look about the bedroom. It’s black, white and grey, but, compared to the living room downstairs, it at least looks lived in.
——Because it’s a bit of a mess.
A pillow is at the other end of the bed while the other one is in the middle, halfway buried under the blanket. These contrast quite dramatically with the stern and tidy nature of the living room, but there’s a sense of homeliness to it.
He remembers a saying from one of his past worlds. Home is where one feels the safest, the freest, and is the best reflection of a person. It certainly shows with Shao Yanxi.
But, perhaps because he’s so shamelessly barged in, only Shao Yanxi’s bedroom is now where he felt the safest, the freest and where he could most freely express himself.
Liu Yu’an pulls out the pillow from the blankets to put it back where it should be, and that is when Shao Yanxi comes outside.
He’s in a bathrobe with a white towel and water droplets still falling off his hair.
Shao Yanxi already looked more beautiful than handsome, but normally his clothing and personality exuded gave a more masculine sense of distance to him. Now that he is barely in any clothing with a towel and dripping hair, with reddened cheeks from the heat, the distance vanishes and there is only his beauty left. It makes Liu Yu’an’s heart skip a beat.
When he wants to say something, Shao Yanxi quickly rushes over and pulls and straightens the pile of blanket, explaining, rather unconvincingly, “I woke up late this morning.”
Though Liu Yu’an very vividly remembers how this morning Shao Yanxi bummed around the house a bit after breakfast before finally heading out, and chuckles, saying, “yeah, I know.”
Shao Yanxi gives him a death stare.
Liu Yu’an hugs him and gives him a kiss, saying, “wait for me,” and enters the bathroom.
Inside, Liu Yu’an is a bit excited, but also feels nervous.
Outside, Shao Yanxi is the same, but it doesn’t exactly show on his unemotional face. So ten minutes later, when Liu Yu’an comes outside, what he sees is Shao Yanxi sitting straight up on the side of the bed. He very quickly works out that he must be nervous as well.
Seeing him nervous oddly makes Liu Yu’an suddenly not as nervous anymore. He walks over with a smile and pushes Shao Yanxi down onto the bed. He pinches Shao Yanxi’s stiff chin lightly and says with a smirk, “don’t worry, I’ll make sure you’re satisfied.”
And Shao Yanxi’s face immediately goes over the normal amount of blush. Even the thumping of his heart can be heard, though his face is still, or rather, even more stiff. It makes one especially want the tough façade to break.
Liu Yu’an kisses him again, saying, “don’t be so anxious. I don’t want to feel like I’m forcing you.”
“I’m not,” Shao Yanxi turns his head away, clearly still not able to calm down much, but, he is doing his best.
Liu Yu’an also knows that since it’s both their first time this might be the best they could do.
So he leans in closer and starts planting kisses from his eyes all the way to his lips, then his hand holding him in an embrace at Shao Yanxi’s waist pats him a bit, and he says, “open your mouth.”
Shao Yanxi ‘mm’s, and returns the hug as well.
Liu Yu’an realises that Shao Yanxi really is a crybaby – or, at least, his tears well up way more than normal people.
As they didn’t have the tools to prepare, they had to stop at third base, but even that and Shao Yanxi’s face is already full of tears.
When Liu Yu’an saw it just now he thought he was really unwilling or scared and stopped midway, trying to soothe him, “don’t worry, alright? Yanxi, don’t cry. I’ve stopped, so don’t worry.”
“I’m not,” Shao Yanxi hurriedly wiped away the mess of tears on his face, then made a powerful bite on Liu Yu’an’s shoulder, saying with his mouth muffled, “I’m not crying.”
“Then…” And Liu Yu’an suddenly recalled. He kissed him again, saying with a chuckle, “you scared me half to death just now, you know? I thought you hated it.”
“I didn’t.” Shao Yanxi replied.
“Didn’t what?”
Shao Yanxi didn’t reply and so Liu Yu’an decided to stoke the flames all over his body, forcing him to answer, “didn’t what?”
Shao Yanxi “…” Did he have this bad side to his personality? To make people answer questions he already knows the answer to?
He couldn’t take it anymore and answered, “I didn’t hate it.”
“Then you liked it, I see,” Liu Yu’an chuckled, “since my Yanxi is so in love with me, he definitely wants more of this, and would never look for celebrities or toyboys again, isn’t that right?”
Shao Yanxi “…”
In the end, Liu Yu’an naturally took over half of Shao Yanxi’s bed.
He was happy at first, but then, he found himself in a difficult situation, because Shao ‘the Octopus’ Yanxi clung to him with all limbs when he was asleep. He woke up in the middle of the night from the pressure.
Now that he sees that Shao Yanxi is not only hugging him with his hand but is clamping his legs down with his own legs like he’s a doll in a claw crane, Liu Yu’an suddenly recalls the pillow he’s sleeping on right now that was buried in the middle of the blankets earlier.
Perhaps, right now, he is playing the role of the pillow.
He pushes Shao Yanxi a little, but he’s dead asleep and dead serious with his grip.
Liu Yu’an has run out of options, so he could only remove the limbs on him and lock Shao Yanxi in place with his own limbs.
Being embraced tightly isn’t any hinder to Shao Yanxi’s sweet sleep though it seems.
Liu Yu’an decides to pinch his nose lightly. Shao Yanxi moves about a bit but then falls back into a deep sleep when Liu Yu’an quickly lets him go.
“You really are sleeping so deeply you wouldn’t know even if I carried you out and sold you off,” then he plants a kiss on him before falling back asleep.
Tomorrow morning, he ends up locked in place by the Octopus again.
And the Octopus doesn’t seem like he’s waking up any time soon.
Liu Yu’an thinks it might be because he himself isn’t used to hugging things in his sleep so he let go of Shao Yanxi soon enough, and in the meantime, Shao Yanxi is the opposite to him. He is the closest ‘thing’ to Shao Yanxi and so ends up in his hug.
But thanks to him locking him in place, he ends up being chased and strangled by a python all night. If it weren’t for that, seriously, with them ending up tiring themselves out so late at night yesterday, he should not be waking up so early in the morning.
