Selesina’s father’s territory was divided into 9 districts.

The location was to the north of the Royal Capital where Selesina lived.  There were 2 large cities and 3 villages in the territory that was managed by the tax revenue collected from there.

The 7th district was to the west of the territory.

She was entrusted the land by Bethel by she had no idea about the kind of place it was.

She thought that Hisui might have an idea so she asked him.

“Eh? The 7th ………..district? Are you going to……….manage that Lady Sele?”

“That’s right. Do you know about it Hisui?”

Hisui inclined his head while pouring tea.

Hisui was making a flabbergasted expression and both Selesina and Toi were clueless. Hisui let out a big sigh and asked.

“Is it possible for you to change the place?”

‘Eh? Is it that bad?’

But it was father’s territory after all so it couldn’t be that bad right? He certainly did say that it was the most under developed though.

“……..Haa. The 7th district has nothing. No, that’s wrong……..”

“?”

“It has 1 small village.”

“Eh? But I thought that father’s territory only has 3 villages though……”

And as far as she knew, those 3 weren’t in……..the 7th district. She was relying on her very faint memory.

But the Hisui said an unbelievable thing.

“The people from the slums of the city of Harmil created their own village there.”

“Eh.”

Is it because the exits weren’t blocked that something like this happened?

“A small part of the city near the Royal Capital is also part of the 7th district. That’s why they don’t live there.”

“I see……..”

‘I had no idea that there was a slum in father’s territory.’

But since those people left the city to create their own village……..then they should be managed properly.

There should be a ceremony for receiving blessings for those children that are born there.

Bethel is too busy so there’s no way that he can make time to go there and check the place out.

Selesina was disturbed to know that the situation was this bad. 

But since she had already told him that she would most definitely do this, she couldn’t take it back anymore.

“I’m thinking of spending more time in the mansion at Halmil. Eventually, I would like to have my own mansion………..in the 7th district.”

“I’m fine with it, however, won’t it be difficult to live in a mansion at the 7th district?”

“There will be several difficult tasks before us. But even if we have a mansion there, we cannot live there with just the two of us. We will need to hire more people, a maid will be necessary……….”

Even if Hisui was Selesina’s apprentice butler, he was still a man. She would obviously not be allowed to stay together with just the two of them. Selesina had to look for servants for herself.

“Isn’t the maid right not ok…..I mean alright?”

“That’s no possible. She is hired by father.”

That’s why she must hire some for herself, Selesina told Hisui cheerfully.

At first, Selesina wanted to bring her own maid. But she would soon be cornered by her father, who desperately wanted her to stay back in the mansion.

He would tell her –

“Since you can’t even hire/find your own servants then it’s better for you to stay in the mansion isn’t it?”

“But what was it that father would really want to say? That since I want to be independent, I must find my own servants.”

“Fuu…..Well, If Lady Sele is fine with that then I’m ok……I mean alright as well.”

“Fufu, you seem to be learning the lingo a bit.”

“Not yet.”

She laughed at Hisui who returned to his original way of speaking and said, “let’s go check the place out.”

There was no need to take Anna along for this, just her and Hisui were fine.

Toi would also be coming along so they would be fine even if something were to happen.

“Father told me that it was fine to do as I pleased from today.”

“Understood, I’ll make the preparations.”

“Thank you. If you ask Hanley, he’ll guide you.”

Hisui nodded yes and left the room.

Selesina changed her clothes and got ready. She wondered about the village that had been established in the district handed over to her……….and wondered what to do.

“Anyway, let’s think about it after I’ve seen it.”

After leaving the Royal Capital, they passed through Bethel’s territory and came to a wasteland of sorts. There was some vegetation growing here and there but the soil was dry and didn’t look fertile.

“This is the …….7th district….”

“…………….”

‘Father really wants me to stay back home…….!’

Selesina smiled a wry smile as she realized that this would be a harder task than she had imagined.

First, she decided to go around the 7th district by carriage to check the place out.

It seemed like it will take a day…………to travel from one end to another. That seemed to be the distance.  She was relieved since she could look around the place even if time was short.

“Let’s go see the newly established village first.”

“Understood.”

Hisui was riding the carriage. He started to move the carriage in order to see the surroundings.

After a few hours, there were several small huts visible. They seemed to like proper homes.

She was worried about what to do if they were living in tents instead but there was no reason to worry about that anymore.

“We’ve arrived………I think I have told you before but this place is far better than the slums in other cities.”

“Eh? Is that so?”

Hisui nodded yes to the surprised Selesina. 

“I’ve lived in a slum before so I know. Well, recently Toi and I had been living in a hut though.”

“So that’s how it is……..But I must bring order to this place. I must do my best…..”

A village that wasn’t on the map. Could she live here after her banishment? She was starting to wonder. 

As long as she didn’t do horrible things to the Heroine then I guess this much might be allowed.

For that reason, she must help this village prosper first.

“……….Anyway, let’s go inside. I’ll hold the luggage so that it’s not stolen.”

“Thank you Hisui. Please do.”

She couldn’t have her wallet stolen again.  She didn’t even know if she could get it back this time that’s why she entrusted it all to Hisui.

For now, she wanted to meet the person who established this ‘Village’.

Selesina wanted to let him know that she was not entrusted with this land and plant the seed of the great tree. The power of the great tree would restore the soil and make it fertile.

‘The question was, would she be able to grow the great tree when she didn’t have any blessings……?”

But Toi the divine beast was with her so it may work out somehow.  She decided to think positively.
