Confused, Yin Xiaoxiao thought that it was already late in the day. At Yin Xiaoxiao’s side, Mo Laoda, worried, examined him. Only once he saw that Yin Xiaoxiao had awoken was Mo Laoda able to lay his worries to rest. Feeling a little guilt towards Yin Xiaoxiao, he asked, “Xiaoxiao, is there any place where you feel uncomfortable?”
Yin Xiaoxiao, with great difficulty, twisted his lower body a few times. “Oh, it hurts a lot.” It especially hurt in that place. “But, honestly,” Yin Xiaoxiao tilted his head as he thought back to the frenzy last night, “last night felt really good!”
Mo Laoda: “
.”
Yin Xiaoxiao: “Heitan, I want to eat honey.”
“Out of the question,” Mo Laoda refused without the slightest hesitation. “If you eat honey again, you’ll get another toothache. If a tooth is pulled this time, another certainly won’t grow back.”
Yin Xiaoxiao 1 pouted. “I don’t eat it every day! I only want to eat it every now and then. Does this mean that you won’t agree with this Xiaoxiao’s request?”
Mo Laoda looked at Yin Xiaoxiao’s dejected expression and hesitated. Well, eating only a little surely wouldn’t be a problem.
“Go, go, I want to eat honey!” Yin Xiaoxiao rubbed against Mo Laoda. If it weren’t for the fact that he couldn’t lift his tail, Yin Xiaoxiao would have rubbed his tail against Mo Laoda. “Or could it be, Heitan, now that you’ve formed a partnership with me, you’ll ignore me and won’t treat me well? I want to eat honey and you won’t agree!” The more he spoke, the more plaintive Yin Xiaoxiao’s voice became.
Mo Laoda: “
.Okay, okay, I got it. But you can’t eat too much, only half!”
Yin Xiaoxiao nodded his head in agreement. As long as he could eat some! Besides, Yin Xiaoxiao was also afraid he would get another cavity.
“Is there anything else you want me to catch?” Mo Laoda thought for a bit and asked, “Are you hungry?”
“Not very hungry. Just ate yesterday!” Yin Xiaoxiao said. “And is it really okay to eat after that kind of thing?”
Mo Laoda: “
.I understand.” And by that he meant that it’d be somewhat difficult for his backend if something had to come out from there.
Remaining behind in the cave, Yin Xiaoxiao raised his head, a victorious smile on his face. ‘Tsk, tsk, tsk, Heitan, yesterday evening you tormented me quite a bit. Even though it felt very good, it’s not asking too much for you to suffocate under these few sentences!’
Yin Xiaoxiao and Mo Laoda hadn’t been living here for very long, so there were still beehives all around. Mo Laoda, searching for one of the special hives, found the honey that Yin Xiaoxiao preferred to eat. Taking a hive, he hurried and rushed back.
Finally having eaten some honey, Yin Xiaoxiao felt very satisfied. Looking at the coiled up Mo Laoda, who was acting as his backrest, Yin Xiaoxiao felt unusually pleased.
Although Yin Xiaoxiao had said that his body didn’t hurt, it was still sore and achy. If he simply rested for a few days. Then he’d be able to slither out and bask in the surfeit of the sun’s splendid rays or whatever. Mo Laoda remained silent and, for several days, didn’t touch Yin Xiaoxiao. Heaven knew that, for the young snake-snake partners without baby snakes, every night was full of music and song 2 ! Considered like this, Mo Laoda was indeed a considerate and tender partner!
On this day, Yin Xiaoxiao already felt entirely well, his body returned to normal – actually, before this he had felt fine; it was just that Yin Xiaoxiao, this lazy guy, had grabbed onto his incapacity as an excuse not to leave. Also, he was worried that Mo Laoda would take this opportunity to begin to run wild. Secretly, Mo Laoda schemed to have a repeat of their first night. But, ultimately, nothing came of it because Mo Dayi came calling.
Not only did Mo Dayi come, he also appeared to be very anxious.
“What’s happened?” Mo Laoda asked, his tone very unhappy. No kidding. If you were prepared to do OOXX and then suddenly the snake who was your second came, bearing an expression that they had no other choice, to tell you that something had happened and that you would have to go and deal with it, you also definitely wouldn’t be happy.
“Several Mo snakes and common snakes are fighting!”
“Huh?” This was Yin Xiaoxiao.
“Specifics.” Mo Laoda once again spoke.
Mo Dayi calmed his breathing and said, “It happened a few days ago, ah, that’s right, it must have been that day that you and Xiaoxiao became partners. The people who came to your and Xiaoxiao’s partnership ceremony, there were some who ate, some who didn’t manage to get anything to eat, and some who felt like they hadn’t eaten enough. Oh, but no one blames you 3 . After all, that day, too many snakes really did attend. And you left in such a hurry, but everyone also knew why and understood
.”
Mo Laoda pressed his tail to his forehead. From between gritted teeth, he spat out a few words, “Get to the point!”
“Cough, cough, oh, that.” Mo Dayi laughed, embarrassed, and returned to the main topic. “The problem was caused by the vipers who didn’t eat and who didn’t eat enough. After everything finished, some vipers started hunting. After all, they couldn’t return home and sleep on an empty stomach. There was one Mo snake who had chosen a mole but, before an attack could be launched, the mole was snatched by a Hong snake. That Mo snake was furious, screaming about biting the Hong snake to death. The Hong snake also got angry, shouting for their friends and family and so on. The Mo snake wouldn’t drop the issue and called for their friends, and a small conflict broke out then and there. More than a dozen vipers died. Now grudges have grown, and both sides are at a stalemate. There were other Mo snakes and common vipers who stepped in to try to stop it, but unfortunately no snake listened to them. At least the situation is under control.” Mo Dayi paused for a moment. “They insist that the Clan Head handle the situation so I came to find you as soon as I found out the news.”
After Yin Xiaoxiao listened to all that Mo Dayi had to say, an idea popped into his head: couldn’t this be considered a bloodbath caused by a mole 4 ! But anyway, this was a real bloodbath! More than a dozen vipers were killed!
Mo Laoda was silent for a while, then he hesitantly looked at Yin Xiaoxiao.
This time, Yin Xiaoxiao was quick on the uptake. Once he saw Mo Laoda looking at him with that hesitant gaze, he immediately understood what was bothering him. He subsequently raised his head, straightened his back and even swung his tail a few times. “You see, my body is already fine! I can even move my tail! There’s absolutely no problem leaving quickly!”
Mo Dayi looked at Yin Xiaoxiao. It took a long time for him to react to the “It’s fine” coming out of Yin Xiaoxiao’s mouth. Then he coughed twice, embarrassed. Was it really okay for him to say this kind of thing in front of him?
Mo Laoda thought for a bit and said, “Xiaoxiao, how about you stay? Dayi can also stay and keep you company. I will return shortly.” Mo Laoda didn’t want Yin Xiaoxiao to exhaust himself by following him – what was so exhausting about having someone carry you on their back as you lay on your stomach? – but also, this time conflict had broken out between Mo snakes and other vipers. If Yin Xiaoxiao followed him
.
“Not happening! I’m going with you!” Yin Xiaoxiao’s bearing was exceptionally resolute. Although he was thinking to himself that something like a mole causing a bloodbath was hilarious, Yin Xiaoxiao really, sincerely wanted to go with him.
Yin Xiaoxiao had always known that relations were sour between Mo snakes and other vipers. No, not only was it bad, it could even be said that the other vipers loathed Mo snakes, and Mo snakes had always disdained other vipers. But because he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, or perhaps because nothing like a large-scale conflict had occurred, even though Yin Xiaoxiao knew about this in theory, he had no real awareness about the seriousness of this situation. However, now that Mo Dayi had spoken of this issue, it brought about a certain impact on Yin Xiaoxiao.
Yin Xiaoxiao wanted to know how the relations were between Mo snakes and other snakes.
Speaking truthfully, Yin Xiaoxiao completely hoped that Mo snakes and other vipers would be able to live in harmony. In this boundary, vipers were supposed to be a family! If Mo snakes and other vipers had a good relationship, other vipers could intermarry like this, and then surely it would be unlikely that vipers would reject Hei snakes!
In the bottom of his heart, Yin Xiaoxiao couldn’t help but secretly admit that he wanted to give Mo Laoda a nest of adorable baby snakes. But he knew that the snakes born to him and Mo Laoda may be Hei snakes, and if his own children suffered the same kind of treatment that Hei A’Ban had, Yin Xiaoxiao would feel really, really sad. While Yin Xiaoxiao wished that Mo snakes and other vipers would have harmonious and amicable relations, ultimately his motives were selfish.
But, in any case, Yin Xiaoxiao absolutely wanted to go with Mo Laoda.
Seeing Yin Xiaoxiao’s begging gaze, Mo Laoda had no choice but to agree. He had no other choice. On this earth, the only one who could make Mo Laoda do anything, the only one Mo Laoda cared about was Yin Xiaoxiao. No one, no matter who it was, was allowed to make Yin Xiaoxiao feel sad or hurt, not even himself!
“Then let’s quickly leave!” Mo Dayi urged. Actually, he didn’t care at all if he and Yin Xiaoxiao stayed behind and Mo Laoda left, or if Mo Laoda, Yin Xiaoxiao and he all left together. Right now, what was happening over there was obviously more important!
Mo Laoda’s tone wasn’t good. “What’s so urgent for you? It’s already late in the day. First we’ll rest tonight and then set off tomorrow. If you really want to, then then you can leave first.”
Yin Xiaoxiao let out a timely yawn.
Seeing that Yin Xiaoxiao and Mo Laoda had already slithered into the cave, Mo Dayi could only be like this: “
.”
‘Forget it. If even the Clan Head wasn’t worried, then what am I worried about?!’ Mo Laoda indignant thought to himself as he flopped to the ground. Sleep, sleep. They could discuss this tomorrow!
Well, because Mo Dayi often (?) had reason to come and call on Mo Laoda. The space closest to the cave entrance was reserved for Mo Dayi each time he came. After all, Mo Dayi couldn’t always sleep in the empty space outside in front of the cave, and Yin Xiaoxiao and Mo Laoda would slither deeper into the cave to sleep.
As was usual, Yin Xiaoxiao was once again the last to get up the next day.
Mo Laoda: “I’m first going to go and look for food to feed to the Little Idiot.” And so, Mo Laoda left to look for food.
After eating the food:
Yin Xiaoxiao: “It’s noon now. So hot. It’d be better to wait until it’s nice and cool, and leave then.”
And so, Yin Xiaoxiao and Mo Laoda wound around each other to take an afternoon nap.
By the time Yin Xiaoxiao and Mo Laoda set off, it was about the same time as it had been yesterday when they’d said that it was too late to leave and that they’d leave tomorrow.
The three snakes set off, but not for long. The sky was already completely dark. Mo Laoda and Yin Xiaoxiao found a cave and went inside, telling Mo Dayi, in passing, to go and find his own cave because this one was too small. Left outside, Mo Dayi silently raised his head and gazed up at the bright stars in the sky. Holy shit! The anguish and indignation were beyond description! They were toying with him, weren’t they?! Surely they were!
Using Mo Laoda’s body as a pillow, Yin Xiaoxiao rubbed against Mo Laoda’s scales. Suddenly he said, “Is it okay like this?”
“It’s not a problem, trust me.” Mo Laoda hooked his head around Yin Xiaoxiao’s body. “Xiaoxiao, I know what you’re thinking
.don’t worry. No snake would dare to bully our sons.”
