CH 7

The assistant had no choice but to keep quiet.

Actually, he couldn’t quite understand. Why did Xi-ge purposely come here for such a small event? For this event, he had to maintain order and properly plan out the event flow, not to mention he didn’t even earn a single cent from it. He clearly spent way more than he earned.

As the assistant continued to ponder, he saw Xi Chengyun fishing out his phone again.

He was on the phone with someone.

The man had a slight smile on his face and he looked slightly relaxed. Was he talking to that person in… whispers of love? The assistant was shocked by his own thoughts.

“There’s a metal bench next to the birch tree grove beside your dorm. I’ll wait for you there. Is that alright?”

“That’s so fast, you’re almost here? You don’t have to come so early next time. I’ll wait for you instead.”

The assistant couldn’t help but flush when he heard their conversation.

Is this the charm of the Best Leading Actor?

Even the few simple words that came out of his mouth seemed to be filled with strong and intricate emotions.

Meanwhile, Bai Qi kept his phone away and walked into the small grove.

It was a little weird.

He had never even been to this place when he was in a relationship with Jiang Fangcheng.

Bai Qi walked for a bit. Soon, he saw Xi Chengyun.

Xi Chengyun took off his shades with one hand. He stood there tall, dressed in his grey wool coat. His aura was outstanding,  just like a mighty cypress tree.

“Pass me the hot water bag,” Xi Chengyun said.

The assistant passed it over hesitantly as he halted and stared at Bai Qi.

The beautiful boy darted over to Mr. Xi.

Suddenly everything clicked, a thought flashed over the assistant’s mind.

Why did they purposely come here for an event?

Why did they come to this groove after the event to meet someone?

Clearly, it was because the boy and Xi-laoshi had an extraordinary relationship.

While the assistant looked at Bai Qi, Bai Qi noticed him too.

Why did Xi Chengyun purposely come to meet him? He even brought an outsider along. Ah… so the acting starts now?

The smile on Bai Qi’s face turned even brighter than before. His endearing smile was as sweet as honey, with dazzling and gorgeous eyes and brows.

He made a tiny sprint and eagerly ran headfirst into Xi Chengyun’s arms. While he was at that, he casually crossed his legs and wrapped them around Xi Chengyun’s waist.

“…”  Xi Chengyun reacted.

His grip on the hot water bag suddenly tightened. A small sound even came from the surface of the bag.

Xi Chengyun could almost smell the tangerine scent coming from the boy.

It should be the smell of his body wash.

Bai Qi raised his arms and hooked them around Xi Chengyun’s neck affectionately. Then, Bai Qi obediently and clingingly leaned onto his shoulder, just like a small kitten.

Xi Chengyun stopped breathing for a second.

… Could he take that the boy was super quick-witted, and pretty enthusiastic as well?

He lowered his gaze, which landed on the boy’s snow-white neck.

Well, he was an adult male, and a normal one too. He never had such intimacy with anyone before… Furthermore, he never thought that Bai Qi could maintain the act so effortlessly.

Xi Chengyun raised his hand and supported Bai Qi by the waist. His gaze shifted a little. Then, he shoved the hot water bag into Bai Qi’s arms. “To keep warm.”

As for the assistant… The assistant was struck by lightning. He was shocked into speechlessness.

On the other hand, Mu Dong and the others weren’t a fan of how crowded the square was and had just came back. Just then, they heard something and turned around. “Huh? What’s up?”

Jiang Fangcheng had climbed to the third floor and opened the door of the room.

“I’m… here to look for Bai Qi.”

“He’s gone downstairs,” Mu Dong said while walking towards the windows. He looked down and said, “Let me help you take a look. Maybe he hasn’t gone far yet…”

With one look, he spotted a familiar silhouette standing in the groove and was shocked. “Oh f*ck!”

Why did that person look so much like Bai Qi?

Shit, and who was the man hugging Bai Qi?

He looks kinda so familiar… and, and looks oddly like Xi Chengyun who was just on stage… Bah, I’m sick, my vision is blurry!
