“So slow,” Lu Ye complained from the doorway.
Bai Zhi jumped in fright; she hurriedly covered her chest with her arms. “Wh-what are you doing in here?”
Lu Ye grinned. His eyes dropped to her arms. “I think you’re clean enough.”
She shook her head furiously and backed away from him. She retreated until her back hit the shower wall. The unexpected contact with the cold glass made her shudder.
Lu Ye approached her with a predatory smile. He caged her against the glass with one hand, “Are you prepared for that now?”
Bai Zhi paled. She remembered that Lu Ye was interested in her backside. (See c36)
“I… not today. Gu Ze, he… was too much…” If he harassed her too, she’d definitely die.
Lu Ye looked disappointed.
Just then, Di Qing also entered the room and leaned against the wall. “It’s not like you only have one place to fuck.”
They were reneging on their promise.
Bai Zhi’s supple, lissome thighs were wrapped around Lu Ye’s waist. He pushed her back up against the cold glass and fucked her until her whole body quaked. Di Qing had already fucked her earlier, so he just sat at the edge of the tub with a cigarette and watched their carnal act.
“People are starting to move.” The gray smoke hung in the air. It slowly rose, obscuring Di Qing’s expression, giving him a mysterious air. “You’re doing well.”
Bai Zhi’s pussy twitched and tightened, causing Lu Ye’s big, powerful body to shake.
She bit her lip in shocked consternation, “Wh-what did I do?”
Di Qing shook the ash from the tip of his cigarette. Amusement appeared in his eyes at her alarmed expression, but he did not say anymore.
Suddenly, Lu Ye plunged in so deep that she screamed.
“Concentrate,” he growled, biting her ear.
“I-I—” She couldn’t make heads or tails of what she had to say—she didn’t want to say anything else that could get her into trouble. But at the same time, she wanted to gather more information; she couldn’t always be playing into the palms of these men.
“Di Qing… Why… are you guys… p-participating… in this game?” Bai Zhi asked between gasps of breath.
“For revenge.”
Di Qing must have felt that he had unintentionally given away too much as he stopped talking right after. No matter how Bai Zhi pried, he remained stalwartly silent.
After leaving the Main Control Room, Bai Zhi continued to ruminate over Di Qing’s words carefully. The brief period in which he opened up only made her more anxious. However, there wasn’t enough information for her to make any useful conclusions.
She wasn’t part of the game, she was just trapped in this prison. Her existence has no meaning here—not to the prison guards nor to the prisoners. Aside from Xiang Chen, no one else had even cared to share their plans with her.
Tomorrow is the last day of her tenure as a prison guard.
She had to do something.
Night gradually settled in. Bai Zhi quietly opened the infirmary door just as Zheng Ze turned away to get up from the hospital bed. There was a bloody bandage wrapped around his thigh. Slowly, he stood—his body groaned in protest. As he was about to turn towards her—
She quickly ducked out of sight.
Sometime later, Zheng Ze limped to the door of the infirmary. Before entering the corridor, he carefully glanced left and right.
Bai Zhi quietly followed behind him, keeping a certain distance in case she was discovered.
The last remaining daylight faded into the deep blue sky. The yellow street lamps had yet to turn on. This was the best time for making any covert moves.
Zheng Ze didn’t notice his tail. He bypassed the broken wall on the outskirts of the promenade and headed towards the stadium.
Next to the stadium, there’s what appeared to be an abandoned factory building. The rusty metal door was secured with a huge iron lock.
Zheng Ze glanced behind him vigilantly. After ensuring that no one was around, he took out a key from his breast pocket and unlocked the door.
Bai Zhi wanted to rush forward before the door could close when suddenly, a large, powerful hand grabbed her arm from behind. She was pulled back into a solid body. At the same time, another hand covered her mouth, preventing her from making any sound.
Her eyes widened in horror. She tried to twist away, but the hands would not budge.
“Shh… It’s me.” A familiar voice whispered into her ear. It was Zhao Zixun. “Wait for a minute, don’t rush inside.”
Bai Zhi was still recovering from the scare; her back was covered in cold sweat. At the sudden relief, her entire body relaxed. She nodded in acquiescence.
Zhao Zixun hugged her from behind and gently kissed the side of her neck, “I’ll go in first.”
“Mm…” Bai Zhi nodded again and followed behind him. They walked into the dark, mysterious factory building.
The interior was open and spacious. There was no light, but the moonlight was enough. The cold, moonlit walls reflected a bluish tint. Four evenly spaced beams supported the high ceiling. On the far wall were four wooden doors, all tightly closed. Based on the spacing they were probably four individual storage rooms.
Within the short period that they were deliberating outside, Zheng Ze had already disappeared without a trace. Bai Zhi looked up at Zhao Zixun for direction.
Zhao Zixun guided her to the side of the large factory floor. They crept slowly along the cement wall towards the four doors.
He had a serious expression on his face. His eyes were focused and cautious. He carefully observed each door trying to identify which one had evidence of being recently disturbed. His lips thinned into a tight line, and he furrowed his brows in concentration.
“Ah—!
A sharp, strangled scream pierced through the tense silence. It penetrated straight into their ears, nearly perforating their eardrums.
And then, ghastly silence settled once more.
Bai Zhi tried to calm her flustered breathing. She nervously nudged Zhao Zixun.
Zhao Zixun stroked her head soothingly before noiselessly stepping in front of the second door. He put his hand on the knob and turned.
