Xiao Lin was protected by Trang Xiao so she as fine.
Only her knees were a bit sc.r.a.ped.
But Tang Xiao, who was on top of her, Xiao Lin had no idea where she was injured.
Tang Xiao had pa.s.sed out.
âNing Jing âŚâ Xiao Linâs voice was shaky.
She didnât dare to move Tang Xiao, she was scared that sheâd broken a bone somewhere and that if she moved her too hastily, sheâd make it worse.
Hearing that there was still a response from the other side, Chief Ning let out a sigh of relief. âWhere are you? What just happened?â
Xiao Lin heard his voice and it was like her whole life had flashed before her life, all of the unease, the worry, the anxiety sheâd been holding back, just gushed out.
She tried her hardest to rein in her emotions but she couldnât, âToday, I saw blood and I couldnât contact you. So Tang Xiao was supposed to take me to the hospital but half way through, we got your call and heard that something happened to Mu Cheng, so the car slid out of our control. Sheâs unconscious now.â
âWhere are you two now?â
Xiao Lin said an address.
Chief Ning organised things at the hospital and then sped his way to them.
The ambulance came quickly.
Xiao Lin was fine and when she came out of the car and saw Chief Ning, her emotions all came out again.
Chief Ning held her in his arms steadily, âItâs all fine now.â
Xiao Lin quickly threw her arms around him too.
The paramedics took the two injured people in their ambulance to the hospital.
The paramedics quickly did a checkup on Tang Xiao and found that her heartbeat and other vitals were all fine, there wasnât any immediate danger to her life.
She was only pa.s.sed out.
They couldnât see if she had any bone fractures, theyâd need to head to the hospital and do an x-ray.
Now, Xiao Lin started to get a bit scared.
Chief Ningâs phone rang again and when he saw it was from Mu Cheng, picked it up.
âTang Xiao has just been in a car accident.â Chief Ning spoke first.
Immediately, from Mu Chengâs side, the sound of a chair falling over sounded .
Mu Cheng ripped out his IV and was about to leave but Xia Ziyang grabbed him and forced him down.
Then he dragged him back onto his hospital bed.
Chief Ning continued to speak, âRest well, sheâs about to go to you.â
Over the phone, Mu Cheng was silent.
Chief Ning continued, âYour third uncle has begun to move, be careful.â
âI know.â

Tang Xiao felt like her head was about to explode, like sheâd been kicked in the head by the dumb husky all night.
When she woke up, she saw Mu Jin with her head very close to hers, mumbling something over and over again.
When Tang Xiao opened her eyes, Mu Jin shouted excitedly, âYouâre awake!â
She saw a silhouette framed by the sunlight slowly turn around.
The sun was in her eyes and she had only just woken up so she still wasnât completely awake.
But when the other party walked closer, something warm touched her face and Tang Xiao instantly knew who it was.
âMu Cheng âŚâ Tang Xiaoâs voice was a bit husky, with a bit of fear and a bit pitiful.
Once her eyes adapted to the sun, she saw that his head was wrapped with a bandage and his eyes had dark circles underneath them.
Even a bit of stubble appeared on his face.
The original warm like jade gentleman suddenly seemed a bit like a roguish jianghu swordsman who roamed everywhere under the sky.
Tang Xiao blinked and continued to look at him.
His hands and feet looked fine, his face looked okay too which made her sigh in relief.
When she received Chief Ningâs phone call, lots of scenarios popped up into her head.
She didnât know how to describe it, but it was like something had gripped onto her heart tightly.
Mu Jin very astutely ran outside and even closed the door behind her.
âDo you feel uncomfortable anywhere? The doctor said that you should be fine, you just had some superficial injuries. They put some medicine on your arm too so donât rub it off.â Mu Cheng helped prop her pillow up.
Theyâd rushed around so anxiously that fear had muddled their heads.
