Chapter 66.5 - The most beautiful scenery in life 1

So even when Chief Ning roasted her and said, ‘I’m too lazy to bother with you’, the person who always stood in front of her whenever something happened to her, would always be Chief Ning.

“No matter what, thank you.”

Chief Ning slightly smiled, but he didn’t let Tang Xiao see that smile.

So if you bully her, I’ll make Xiao Lin take her son and marry someone else.” Tang Xiao bared her teeth and threatened him.

Chief Ning’s tone was filled with laughter. “I won’t give you that chance.”

“Then that’s good, for the sake of you being able to peacefully marry someone, let me properly introduce you to my boyfriend! The most shining, best actor in the entertainment circle! Mu Cheng!” Tang Xiao grew excited.

Then she choked on her own saliva and bent down, coughing hard.

Chief Ning turned around and saw her coughing, before patting her back to help her breathe.

He couldn’t help but re-tie her scarf, slightly helpless, “Seeing you like this, how can I be at ease? But, I don’t fully agree with you being with him. Previously, you were just purely chasing stars, but now that you’re actually living together, are you sure about this?”

“En.” Tang Xiao replied earnestly.

She didn’t think that she would end up being together with Mu Cheng.

But she wondered about how she would be if she ended up missing the chance to be with him, and she thought, she’d probably end up regretting it for a lifetime.

“Originally, I wanted you to find someone simple to settle down with. They didn’t have to be too outstanding, as long as he had good morals and he was able to treat you well. Mu Cheng isn’t the type of person I imagined you would end up with. He’s probably the worst choice that I’d choose for you. He was originally already very outstanding, and with the Mu family behind him, they’re not worse than our Ning family. I’m scared that you’ll be bullied.” Chief Ning sighed.

“But …” Tang Xiao said word after word, she spoke for Chief Ning to hear but also for herself to hear. “I like him.”

Chief Ning stood aside when he heard her say that.

Previously, Tang Xiao said - ‘I like pink’, so she’d change her whole room pink.

But I’m also really fortunate to have met him. I’ve been fortunate to be able to continue along with him.” Tang Xiao’s eyes had never been so resolute before.

Chief Ning suddenly felt like she’d grown up. “This is also good. You’ve always been this simple-minded, you’ve gotten used to it. Whenever you do something, you’re always very impulsive, to the point where you just easily find ways to ask for death. If we found someone who wasn’t very outstanding, I really don’t think he’d be worthy of you. But if they were too outstanding, I’d be scared that you’d get bullied. At least  Mu Cheng can protect you.” Chief Ning turned to the side.

Tang Xiao then saw Mu Cheng standing to the side.

Tang Xiao’s eyes widened happily as she blinked at Chief Ning, not moving.

“Don’t even think about asking me to carry you over there, I have to go back and take care of Xiao Lin.”

From a young age, everyone doted on you, protected you, so that you were able to live in the most purest way possible.

So it was lucky, that you were able to meet that person who was also able to dote on you.

You’re willing to grow up for him, try hard to stand next to him.

These are all things I can’t teach you.

With Chief Ning’s agreement, Tang Xiao quickly ran past him and flew into Mu Cheng’s arms.

Mu Cheng wore a lot of layers so Tang Xiao’s hands burrowed inside his jacket, warmth flooding into her body.

“She’s had a bit to drink today and she’s just been exposed to cold wind. Her nose seems a bit stuffy too, give her some hot water when you get home.” Chief Ning exchanged a few words to Mu Cheng before quickly hurrying back.

Tang Xiao was in Mu Cheng’s arms as she rubbed her nose.

Taking advantage of being her being a bit tipsy, she threw her arms around his neck, “Mu Cheng, there won’t be anyone else like me, with such a good temper and such a good background. No other girl will like you as much as I do, she won't be as willing to try so hard to stand next to you either.”

Mu Cheng lightly laughed, his eyes growing gentle as they were filled with laughter, making Tang Xiao’s heart beat fast, “Tang Xiao, I’ve come to take you home.”
