On Saturday’s morning, HeJin looked out the window and saw the bright blue sky. He thought it must be a good day, so he only wore a flannel plaid shirt and plain sweater vest, and left his room quietly without bringing a coat.
The dormitory building was very quiet. There was no class at eight o’clock on Saturday morning, so most of the students were still sleeping.
He Jin walked downstairs. Soon after, he heard footsteps following behind him, mingled with the sound of conversation between several boys.

It seemed he wasn’t the only one who went out so early today ah. Out of the dormitory building, He Jin headed leisurely toward the East Gate. Tong Xuan sent him a text message last night at 8:15, saying they would meet up at the east gate near canteen. He put his hands in his pockets, breathing the cold air of autumn mornings. There was still a conversation going on between the few people behind him.
“The weather is fine…”
“This is the best time to play, but to swim at the lake, I am actually not that interested.”
