“Old Director Yan, currently the lower parts of the hospital are full of zombies, You going out is very dangerous. ah!”
In a staff room, a young doctor wearing a lab coat, dissuaded an old man.
“Don’t stop me! He’s my only son, if you dare to stop me once more, then I’ll fire you!” The old man held a crutch as he roared, he wanted to push open the door that was blocked by a few tables.
“Waah woohoo 
”
A baby’s cries suddenly sounded in the midst of the quarreling noises – there were still some other people in the room, among them was a woman embracing a several month old child.
“Don’t be so f.u.c.king noisy!” A shocking roar reverberated in the room – sitting together with that woman – a square faced and upright looking man stood up, he was approximately 1.90m tall and was holding a brown coated SVD sniper rifle, he appeared to be particularly oppressive.
“There are monsters outside, Yan Henggong, you’ll die if you go out!”1
“Even you, chief officer Ironheart Qi 
 is there really no way?” The old director became stunned.
“Sorry, I’m 
 powerless.”
The man known as Ironheart Qi shook his head to indicate his powerlessness.
Originally, as this city’s chief officer, he was several month out on his business trip – then finally his wife, with great difficulty, gave birth to their child, he rushed back and then happened this kind of thing.
Resident Evil, who hadn’t heard of this thing? But to truly find oneself in the middle of it was another matter.
“Alas 
” The old director weakly fell to the ground, he looked at the outside through the window, at the zombies that gradually flocked towards the hospital: “This city is done for as well as we are.”

That guy definitely wasn’t a human! Ironheart Qi was sure about it 

“What was that?” The old director, originally with an ash grey complexion, raised his head and through the window suddenly discovered a trace of radiance appearing in the sky.
“Um? Helicopter 
 rescue team!”
The originally helpless Ironheart Qi saw a force of helicopters closely packed in a formation in the pitch-black sky, the force hovered over the city.
“It’s the government! New China Federation’s army sent someone to rescue us!”
“We’re saved!” Almost everyone relaxed.
Including the old director, who even stood up in excitement and raised the crutch in his hand 

“We’re

”
He hadn’t even finished speaking.
“Grrr!!” The entrance that was originally blocked by several tables was suddenly kicked open, the old director was grabbed by the neck, by a badly mangled and mutilated arm, preventing him from speaking.
“f.u.c.k!” Ironheart Qi immediately reacted and fired a shot at the door, following the gunshot, the zombie screeched and then the blood gushing out announced its death.
The old director’s neck was severed because of the zombie’s huge strength.
With the unexpected death of the old director, everyone that had just relaxed had their hearts tense up once again, realizing that it still was very dangerous!
“Lets go to the roof, only then might we be rescued!” Ironheart Qi moved the tables, then carefully opened the door, kicked away the zombie, raised his rifle, stuck out his head inside the corridor and quickly looked left and right.
There was no one 
 no zombie 

“Quick! To the staircase, let’s run to the rooftop and then we’re gonna be rescued!”
Under Ironheart Qi’s cry, the young doctor was the quickest to run, directly dashing to the staircase, not bothering with the others.
Only the woman holding the child as well as Sun Qi ran up to Ironheart Qi 

“Go quickly, our child is still small, we can’t let it die here.” Ironheart Qi instructed his wife, the woman nodded and ran upstairs while hugging her baby.
Sun Qi didn’t say a word, he only silently kept pace with the woman.
Just when Ironheart Qi intended to catch up to them.
Yet there appeared a figure in the corridor 

Ironheart Qi opened his eyes wide, looking at the being walking into the corridor from a corner.
Those scarlet pupil and that pale skin 
 that strange smile, as if excited for some reason.
That 
 monster?
Time at this moment appeared to slow down.
Lu Qiu looked at the several fleeing prey, raised his hand, immediately afterwards zombies ran past him from behind, as long as they pa.s.sed the corner, they could see their dinner 

Ironheart Qi cried out, practically being the loudest that he ever was, he called out almost at the same time as Lu Qiu waved his arm.
“Quickly, run!! Run as fast as you can! Run!”
“Grrrrrrrrrr!!”
Hundreds of zombies sprung up from behind Lu Qiu and rushed towards those several living people while screeching.
Those humans, in order to survive, regardless of their physical strength, no matter how tired they were nor if they couldn’t budge anymore, they still forced themselves to run towards the staircase!
Ironheart Qi turned the corner towards the staircase, dropped a small oval-shaped object and then quickly ran up the stairs.
After Lu Qiu saw it, his pupil constricted at once, he gave a big step backwards without leaving any traces of himself.
Flames swept through the entire corridor, a current stirred Lu Qiu’s hair, flames and gla.s.s splinters splashing everywhere, while mixed with mincemeat, the zombies at the center of the explosion were torn to pieces.
Lu Qiu’s ears were ringing because of the explosion!
New China Federation’s weapon management was truly to lacking! In the end, what was the ident.i.ty of that guy, not only SVD, he actually still had access to grenades?
Lu Qiu looked at the messy corridor with zombies almost blown into broken bits.
Fortunately, their numbers were more than enough, as long as the head was not penetrated, their vitality was ample and they were tenacious, a short while later, large amounts of zombies rushed into the staircase.
“Struggle.” Lu Qiu moved in the middle of the swarm of zombies – there looked to be an invisible wall around Lu Qiu when among those zombies, even when they were densely packed, there was always empty s.p.a.ce around Lu Qiu: “Continue straggling.” Lu Qiu followed those zombies and went up the building.
Lu Qiu only went up slowly.
“This way, 
 it’s more fun”
Meanwhile on the other side.
Ironheart Qi felt like he had never been as unlucky as he had been lately! As the chief officer of a city police organization, he was unable to be by his wife’s side even at the key time when she gave birth to their child, now he finally managed to get some time and go home to see the the child that had just recently been born and hadn’t even received a name.
Yet he met such a terrifying disaster!
The world went crazy! Ironheart Qi listened to the roars of the zombies below, could those guys still be called humans?
Ironheart Qi didn’t know 

The hospital had a total of eight floors, they were quickly running towards the roof.
But his wife with their child in her embrace, because of her giving birth not long ago, she basically wasn’t able to continue with such intense movement and was gradually slowing down, until she was at a point that she couldn’t run anymore.
With abundant strength, Ironheart Qi remained beside his wife.
“Ru’er 
 I 
 was thinking.”
“I 
 can’t go on, it looks like I have to entrust this child to you, don’t worry about me and go ahead 
”
In the face of those monsters, this woman showed exceptional courage, she was very weak, during such a disaster she would only be a burden, such a burden had batter to be abandoned early on.

“Right, I originally was waiting for you to come back today and then choose the name together.”
“Therefore, ah, I’ll definitely return.” Ironheart Qi put his hand on his wife’s shoulder: “We’ll choose the child’s name together, I won’t die before then, this is my promise as a father.”

Then finally, without procrastinating any longer, she nodded her head somewhat heavily.
Yet just when his wife was about to turn around and leave, Ironheart Qi stopped her by pulling her arm.

The old man looked at the child covered in swaddling clothes – originally, as a sharp-shooter, his hands definitely wouldn’t tremble when pressing the trigger, yet suddenly, they couldn’t stop shaking as they lightly caressed his son’s forehead.
“Believe in your papa 
 papa will definitely be back.”
After finally saying goodbye, Ironheart Qi watched the back of his wife as she walked up the stairs.
Yet he himself stood in the middle of the staircase while holding the loaded SVD in his hands, it emitted the smell of gunpowder!
He took out 2 grenades from his pockets and clenched them, he appeared to have made up his mind. Ironheart Qi put one of them into his chest pocket and then pulled the safety pin of the other one.
“Grrrrr!!” The zombies roared as they rushed towards him.
“Come on! Monsters 
” Ironheart Qi threw down the grenade without any hesitation, a huge explosion sounded and blew those zombies into tatters.
Then he fired two shots at the ceiling, the SVD’s loud gunshots attracted the attention of all the zombies. The zombies sight was no different from that of a serpent, they relied on their hearing that was several times more formidable than that of humans in order to find prey.
The rest of the zombie were not to large in numbers, about a dozen or so – with regards to ordinary people, that number of zombies may be fatal.
However, Ironheart Qi wasn’t an ordinary person!
“Perhaps this is my final act as the chief officer.” Ironheart Qi took his New China Federation’s police badge and threw it on the ground, on top of it were several large characters impressively inscribed, level-D Physical Enhancer!
“Tatakai!” When the zombies were close enough, Ironheart Qi used the sniper rifle and repeatedly fired a few shots, so that those dozen zombies would run towards him.2
His speed even a bit faster than that of the zombies!
1 – Henggong is a respectful term to call someone
2 – tatakai, is j.a.panese for “fight”, a way of encouraging oneself. It reminds me of Busou Renkin and sounds so much better than “fight”
