Chapter 158: Source World 10 (part 2 of 2)
An Ying unwittingly drifted off to sleep as well. He slept very warmly, but woke up upon feeling a blazing heat. After being woken up by the blazing heat in the middle of the night, did he just realize that the youth in his arms was abnormally hot, and filled with sweat. He hurriedly got up, and called the Demon Flower over to check upon him.
The Little Phoenix had developed a fever.
The fever wasnât that serious at all, but he slept in bed the whole day. An Ying stayed close to him, until he opened his eyes again. He took the wet kerchief in pleasant surprise, and gently stroked his forehead, which had cooled down a lot, âDoes Tong Tong feel a bit better?â
The Little Phoenix subconsciously nodded. An Ying said: âDrink some medicine.â
Having heard what was said, the Little Phoenixâs little nose twitched, and felt a great dislike with just itâs smell. He didnât speak nor move, and was obviously unenthusiastic with that bowl of medicine.
An Ying continued to coax: âYouâll feel better after drinking.â
The Little Phoenixâs face still had an abnormal flush, an indication that he was still ill. But even in this kind of condition, he still displayed his temper by puffing up his cheeks and staring at the other with big eyes, âI wonât drink. Take it away.â
He face was very serious, but his eyes furtively shot a glance at the two plates of dessert on the table, thinking that no one would notice it. After another quick furtive glance, he finally couldnât hold back from asking: âWhat is that dessert called?â
His voice was still weak and dispirited due to illness, but the tone was full of enthusiasm because of his fondness to sweets. An Ying was simply caught in between tears and laughter, but he didnât dare to expose this to view so as to avoid the other from flying in rage out of shame, and simply answered: âItâs a special dessert made by the Demon Flower. It seems to be called Jing Sha Su* .â

The Phoenixâs eyes brightened inconspicuously, as he ordered: âBring it over for me to try.â
âYou can try it after drinking the medicine first, okay?â
Although An Ying had coaxed him like this, but the dessert plate was pushed even farther away, while he brought the medicine bowl all the way to the Little Phoenixâs lips at the same time.
The Little Phoenix didnât get angry, but merely looked at him with tightly pursed lips.
The two pairs of eyes stared at each other for quite a while, but the first to back down in defeat was An Ying. The youthâs pretty and lustrous eyes made the self-proclaimed tough guy An Ying, completely unable to toughen his heart. He had no choice but to sip a mouthful of medicine first, and realized that it really tastes bitter and tart. He took another mouthful, then held the Little Phoenix nape, and bowed his head to cover his lips.
The Little Phoenix wanted to open his mouth to protest, but his teeth were pried opened by An Yingâs tongue, and all the medicine was sent down into his throat. He struggled with his hands and feet, but was firmly held still by An Ying. He was left with no choice but to let An Ying use this method to feed him one mouthful after another of medicine until the entire bowl was cleanly finished.
Seeing the eyes of the Little Phoenix that had reddened due to misery, as well as the signs of blowing up in anger in the next second. An Ying hurriedly brought the dessert, and fed him through the mouth-to-mouth method once more.
The Little Phoenixâs temper ultimately didnât flare up, as he docilely accepted the dessert. His bright pair of misty eyes stared at An Ying for a while, before he unexpectedly pulled on the quilt and burrowed inside.
âTong Tong be good. Come out, donât smother yourself.â
An Ying stretched out his hand to pull the quilt away, but the Little Phoenix refused to relent. Finally, under the two peopleâs tugging, the upper half of the face and the two big pair of eyes were exposed, which continued to stare at An Ying.
An Ying felt somewhat restless because of that look. He also inexplicably felt his heartbeat quicken, as his entire body heat up. After having endured this for a bit, he slightly raised his brow and asked: âWhat is it?â
The Little Phoenix didnât reply, and merely blinked, as he continued to stare at him.
â.âŠ..what is it really?â
This voiceâs volume was a little bit louder. The Little Phoenix subsequently widened his eyes a bit as well. A trace of grievance vaguely appeared underneath his eyes, but he still kept his gaze trained on An Ying.
Feeling somewhat jittery, An Ying stood up, then walked back and forth.
He couldnât withstand this gaze anymore. His heartbeat quickened, as if there were butterflies in his stomach, even his blood had all rushed up. He then took a deep breath: âTong Tong, if you continue to look at me like this, I wonât be able to stop myself from kissing you.â
The Little Phoenixâs ears slowly reddened. He once again hid inside the quilt afterwards, leaving just a very small seam behind, but still continued to stare at An Ying through that tiny seam.
An Ying completely surrendered: ââŠâŠTong Tong, just say whatever you want, or even stomp on me a few more times. So long as you stop staring at me like that.â
The Little Phoenix moved, âThen I wonât take any medicine later.â
âThis wonât do. How can you not take any medicine when your sick?â
âThen I want to eat another Jing Sha Su.â
âThis wonât do either. The Jing Sha Su is too sweet, eating too much isnât good for your health. â
âYouâre a liar!â The Little Phoenix pointed at the door unhappily, âI want to sleep. I donât want to see you now.â
Thus, An Ying, who had resigned to his fate, brought the medicine bowl out, and looked for the Demon Flower to confirm the Little Phoenixâs condition. Only after having waited for no less than an incense stick of time, did he silently push the door to enter again.
He saw that the Little Phoenix hadnât gone to bed to sleep at all, but was sitting next to the narrow table instead, and was slowly and leisurely eating another plate of Jing Sha Su.
Both plates had been completely emptied, only that bit of honey juice on the youthâs slightly pouting lips was left. Such appearance added a bit to his cuteness, making it impossible for others to get angry at all. After being caught in the act, the Little Phoenix felt a little embarrassed as well. Thus, he arrogantly and forcefully changed the subject, by asking: âThatâs right, what about Dumpling? Have you taken care of it for me?â
Upon returning to the tree house, the first thing the Little Phoenix did was to go and look at his squirrel. The squirrel, Dumpling, was still sleeping in itâs nest. It slept on itâs back with limbs splayed out, and is sleeping with an open mouth. In just a span of a few days, it had actually grown a lot. When the Little Phoenix reached out to smooth itâs fur, it opened itâs incredibly round pair of black eyes, then climbed up the Little Phoenixâs palm afterwards, and jumped around energetically.
âAn Ying, An Ying, quickly come and take a look, Dumpling can jump!â
The Little Phoenixâs attention had been completely attracted by the little squirrel. He high-spiritedly teased it with his finger for quite a while. At this time, as if having sensed something unfamiliar or dangerous, the little squirrel, which had been playing energetically, suddenly trembled, and slipped into the Little Phoenixâs sleeve in fear.
The person coming over is Mao Shu.
He had come over a bit suddenly, and also brought a very shocking piece of information for An Ying: âAbout your biological mother, which I didnât have the time to say everything before. She is indeed still alive, but is lying dormant in the Fantasy Sea of the Heavenly Realm.â
As everyone knows, the Fantasy Sea is analogous to the tomb of the Heavenly Realm, and is the place where all the gods will be laid to rest after their death. But since An Ying is of the Demon Race, then how could his biological mother possibly be a god of the Heavenly Realm? Moreover, how is it possible for a person lie dormant in the tomb, where the dead were buried, while still alive?
On top of that, the Fantasy Sea is the Heavenly Raceâs forbidden area, and really isnât a place anybody can just enter. The Crying Spirit Beast guarding the four corners are very difficult to deal with, not to mention the layers upon layers of array formation in it.
As it is about the matters of An Yingâs life experience intended to be kept private, it was unsuitable for the Little Phoenix to listen in more. He only knew that after returning there with the little squirrel from playing with Bai Qi, he once again heard An Ying say that he will be going out to take care of something. He couldnât help but frown: âWhere do you want to go?â
âI will be return as soon as possible,â An Ying kissed the corner of the Little Phoenixâs lip, âItâll take one day at most, okay?â
But the Little Phoenix easily buckled An Yingâs shoulder, then pushed him into the chair by the window, and simultaneously raised his feet and stomped at the armrest, sandwiching the other in the narrow space between the chair and him. He condescendingly touched An Yingâs lower lip with his hand afterwards, and said with a very obvious displeasure in his tone: âYouâve said that everything youâll do in the future will all be with my consent. Donât even think of lying to me.â
This position made An Ying completely incapable of lowering his head. He could only raise his head to look at the aloof and remote, as well as the exquisitely beautiful lower jaw of the Little Phoenix. The gentle taping action of the Little Phoenix on his lower lip was just like when he was lazily playing with his pet Dumpling, but his tone was filled with power: âIf you dare to lie to me, I will cut off your tongue.â
An Ying felt like he might have been poisoned by something, otherwise, there wonât be any explanation on why heâs willing to be incited and coerced by the youth before him, and even be unable to let go as if he was a lowly person.
