Thulhu looked up at the sky. He saw some scattered stars and a bright moon.
The moon was different from the moon in his past life. The moon in this world was so big, at least two to three times bigger.
The size of the moon told him that he was now in a completely different world.
But it was still just as gorgeous!
Thulhuâs heart was touched by the moonlight. He then suddenly turned around and saw Donald walking toward him.
âYou wanted to talk to me?â Donald asked.
âYes, I want to talk to you!â Thulhu nodded. âI think thereâs been a misunderstanding and we donât have to solve it by fighting. We can solve it between the two of us, okay?â
âBetween the two of us?â Donald smiled. âGood⊠as long as you join the club and become a trainer.â
Then the reputation of the club would be saved.
âA trainer? How much is the weekly salary?â
Thulhu immediately asked the question.
Donald looked a bit embarrassed, because he didnât think Thulhu would accept this solution so easily. âWell⊠weâre a university club established out of interest. We receive funds from the university and some donations from time to time, but a trainer doesnât have a salary, though you can charge for private training sessionsâŠâ
âI see. Then I donât want to join,â Thulhu said straightforwardly.
He was rather busy. He didnât have the time to teach free lessons.
He might have considered taking the job if the club offered a good salary, but it didnât.
âToo badâŠâ Donald shrugged. âThen Iâll see you tomorrow!â
Donald was very confident. From their last fight, Donald was certain that Thulhu still wasnât his match yet.
âDonald, I donât think youâre getting the point!â
Thulhu took a deep breath. âI want to end this here, because I donât want the club to be further humiliated!â
âHumiliated? You think youâll win?â Donald lifted his eyebrows.
âWin or lose, you wonât know until you give it a try.â Thulhu took a deep breath again.
Wearing a white, loose combat uniform, Donald adopted a fighting stance.
âWhy did you agree so fast?â
Thulhu felt it was strange that Donald had immediately accepted his challenge.
âYouâre here for a reason. In the world of combat, there are other factors besides strength that decide victory!â Donald said seriously.
Thulhu stomped his feet and flashed in front of Donald. His hand chopping down, Thulhu yelled, âTiger Style!â
The momentum of his hand was unstoppable and ferocious, like a tiger jumping down!
Donald blocked the attack with his arms and felt the great strength behind it. Taking a few steps back to neutralize the power, he looked at Thulhu, shocked. âYou⊠youâve changedâŠâ
He remembered his fight with Thulhu the other day. In comparison, Thulhuâs strength was now much greater!
But it had only been a few daysâŠ
Maybe Andrea was right. In this world, there were geniuses, and Thulhu was one of them. And maybe⊠Thulhu was the one who could touch âthat worldââŠ?
All kinds of thoughts flashed through Donaldâs mind.
The trainers in the club had told him how Thulhu had learned to fight.
When they told him that it only took Thulhu two days to learn the sets, Donald hadnât believed them.
But now he had to believe it! A genius could progress at a speed that was fantastic and incredible to ordinary people!
When Donald chose to defend, Thulhu dashed at Donald with his arms swinging fiercely.
Thulhu launched a new round of attack!
Donald had to cover his head using his hands and arms. His muscles bulged again.
Thulhu felt like his fists were pounding an iron wall.
The two figures jumped at each other before quickly springing apart. At that moment, Thulhu unleashed a side-kick in the air.
This was dangerous to do in a real fight. It was hard to keep your balance in the air, and would create an opening for the enemy.
But Thulhu was different!
His spirit value was 1.6. He could do the calculations very accurately.
Thulhu kicked Donald right in the chest. Donaldâs body couldnât help falling back at the formidable strength.
Donald gasped hard. After a couple of seconds, he finally accepted the result. He took a glance at the black footprint on his chest and looked very confused. âAre⊠are you an extraordinary? A [Soldier]?â
âExtraordinary Soldier? What do you mean?â
Thulhu hurriedly asked the question.
âYour kick⊠was slightly beyond the physical limits of a human being.â Donald patted his clothes and stood up. He didnât feel depressed at all, and instead was rather excited, as his eyes shone with the thrill of discovery. âBut now that I think about it, that strength wasnât at the extraordinary level yet⊠But youâve convinced me that there really are geniuses in this world!â
Deliberately or not, Donald dodged the topic of extraordinary power.
Without his attributes panel, Thulhu believed that Donald would have taught him a very impressive lesson.
âAre we still fighting together?â asked Thulhu.
Donald hurriedly waved his hands.
Knowing the gap between their strengths, Donald had quickly given up on the fight tomorrow. He wasnât going to humiliate himself!
Thulhu thought that it would take Donald some time to give up, but Donald made the decision way faster than he expected.
Thulhuâs face was still expressionless. âIf youâre willing to pay me, I can lose the fight tomorrow.â
Donald was surprised, and the smile on his face disappeared. âAre you talking about cheating? Seriously?â
âI donât see anything wrong with itâŠâ said Thulhu.
Unfortunately, the plan to earn a fortune from the fight wouldnât be happening. Thulhu nodded. âSince you donât want to do it, then I wonât show up for the fight tomorrow.â
Besides solving this problem, Thulhuâs other reason for coming here was to earn XP.
He was already satisfied with his reward: [XP +20].
Defeating the president was indeed much more lucrative.
However, now that they were no longer enemies, a second fight naturally wasnât going to happen.
And now it was time for him to leave.
The wind was blowing violently.
Suddenly, the wind sent a chill through Thulhu and down his spine!
This feeling⊠This feeling! He wasnât mistaken: It was the shadow murderer!
Thulhuâs eyebrows knitted tightly and he looked around, on high alert.
Like liquid, a shadow flowed out of the woods and quickly merged with theirs.
Thulhu and Donald, who both knew how to fight well, only had the time to exchange looks, when some unknown power instantly froze them.
Thulhu couldnât move, but he could think. He wondered why the shadow came out today. Was it because of Molly? Or was it because of his fight with Donald here in the woods?
The same thing had happened to him twice, but there was nothing Thulhu could do.
His desire for power burned furiously in his gut.
Not enough! It was far from enough!
Defeating a fight club was nothing!
In front of extraordinary power, his achievement was still nothing at all!
Thulhu needed power, much greater power!
