He snorted with his eyes sparkling, as if asking me to praise him.\n
Furthermore, just when I thought he was snapping his fingers to show off, I heard a sound of a glass shattering.\n
“I’ve lifted the barrier. Don’t forget, okay? I’ll see you tomorrow.”\n
Azel had gotten rid of the barrier that forbade humans from going in and out of it and emphasized to me that it would be by tomorrow. He carried out his promise where he would give me permission to freely wander around the castle one day.\n
I kind of squinted my eyes as if I were looking at something dazzling.\n
It had only been three weeks since I lost to the demon lord. We had only been acquainted for that long.\n
Despite that, Azel only asked very little of me, even though he already gave me room, food, peace, and the things that I liked, and even kept his promises on equal terms.\n
I could tell, in his own stubborn way, that he had been treating me well, and I had no idea why, but it gave me feelings I never felt ever since I came to this world.\n

I thanked him as much as I could, and Azel turned away again, red and trembling as usual.\n

I called out to the Azel, who was now resurrected and had become healthier.\n
