Ch131 - Daily Life in the Immortal Realm (Extra 5)

Mo Tianliao sent Qingtong to the White Tiger Island, and when they arrived, the third uncle and little aunt had already jumped down first.
“Roaarr!” You’re back! Grandpa was rolling on the grass, and when he saw them coming back, he tilted his head and looked over.
The Great-Grandpa who was sleeping next to him was awakened, and when he saw that Grandpa who was rolling his belly and tilting his neck, he immediately ran over and started licking his son’s fur.
“Oh, oh, oh!” Dad, stop licking, I just took a shower! Grandpa struggled and waved his four paws.
The second uncle turned into a human form and went to read under the tree. It had to be said that the White Tigers in their human forms were all beauties. The sight of the second uncle holding a scroll book that could only be seen in the human world and standing under a peach blossom tree was a very beautiful one.
“Brother, what are you looking at?” The aunt who was sleeping on the peach blossom tree stretched her head and asked.
“Meow!” The third uncle and the little aunt rushed over and climbed up grasping the clothes of the second uncle, as they also wanted to watch.
Taishi was very curious but didn’t dare to go over. After all, the people of the White Tiger clan didn’t know about him yet, so he urged his younger brother: “Didi, you go and have a look.”
An image of a little tiger appeared in Xuan Jian, tilting his head, looking very confused.
“Pretend to be less stupid and go quickly.” Taishi turned into a hammer and knocked his brother.
Xuan Jian flew over, circled around and came back, and the contents of the book appeared in the mirror. It was really an earthly book, but it was covered with all kinds of strange patterns. Mo Tianliao twitched his mouth. He thought that the beauty was reading some poetry, but it turned out to be a recipe.
However, Mo Tianliao felt that it should not be a random recipe, because it carefully described the eating methods of various legendary beasts! The pages that Xuan Jian saw gave a detailed recipe on how to cook a Vermillion Bird. It must have been compiled by a cultivator in the mortal world who had completely gone mental.
“This looks really delicious,” the third uncle turned into a human form, whose form was also of a very handsome boy, drooling on the shoulders of his second brother, “Unfortunately, there is only one Vermillion Bird left in the heavens now.”
“That fat red chicken today seemed to be a Vermillion Bird!” The little aunt suddenly remembered the little red chicken who stepped on her head.
Several people around the peach blossom tree looked at the little aunt together, and even Grandpa and Great-grandpa were also attracted. Grandpa listened to a few words in a daze, and then took the time to lick his son.
“Okay, okay, stop making trouble, eat.” Grandma walked over with a big spoon and knocked White Tiger Grandpa  who was still lying in his father’s arms being pampered.
Mo Tianliao pushed Qingtong, who didn’t want to go over: “Baby, I’m going now.” He had no family since he was a child, and had been cultivating towards immortality for a long time. He had almost forgotten the reassuring feeling of having his family around him. He only vaguely remembered it. Qingtong was born without parents, but finally found a family. He didn’t want to keep him away from his family because of himself.
Qingtong looked at Mo Tianliao and stuffed the last fried fish in the oil paper bag into his mouth.
Mo Tianliao winked at him, signaling him not to forget the whispered words today. At night, he would turn into a tree and sneak out to find Qingtong.
Qingtong pursed his lips and walked to the tiger pile. Grandma pulled him to ask if he had been bullied in the nursery school today. Grandpa waved his paw and said that if anyone bullied his grandson, he would beat their Grandfathers tomorrow!
“Roar—” Great-Grandpa also echoed the sentence, indicating that he can go and beat the other party’s grandpa!
Qingtong turned back, and sighed softly because the place where Mo Tianliao stood just now was empty.  Great-Grandpa stretched out his big tongue, licked the top of Qingtong’s head, and immediately licked the neat and soft snow-colored hair into a mess.
Mo Tianliao returned to Immortal City to help the old bastard close his stall: “What is this?!”
“What are you doing?! You scared me!” Hun Dun was startled by the apprentice’s sudden loud voice, and almost fell into the wonton pot.
Mo Tianliao lifted up the stove for cooking wontons, it’s mouth had seven exquisitely carved orifices, and its tripod legs and two ear-like handles were indistinguishable. No one could recognize this was the same furnace that had made a sensation in the cultivation world back in the day –the Qiankun Huntian Furnace!
“Oh, the Huntian Furnace was originally a stove for cooking wontons. What’s all the fuss about?” Hun Dun raised his hand and put away the Huntian Furnace, picked up the unsold raw wontons, and prepared to go home and cook them for his apprentice. It should not be wasted.
Mo Tianliao twitched his mouth, remembering how Hun Dun abducted him back then.
At that time, there was some fighting between rogue demonic cultivators in their village and his family’s house was ruined. As a child, Mo Tianliao sat stupidly in the ruins. Without eating all day and night, he found a shovel, dug holes in the wilderness to bury the bodies of his parents and brothers.
“Oh-ho, this kid is good-natured, follow me to sell wontons.” The old man with messy hair who was passing by the wilderness handed him a bowl of hot wontons.
The delicious wontons dispelled the cold, and the little Mo Tianliao sniffed, thinking that it was the best thing he had ever eaten. Then, he returned the bowl to the old man, said his thanks and continued digging.
“Look, your parents are dead, and you are the only one left. Those thin arms and legs wouldn’t be able to strike iron,” the old man pointed to the collapsed iron shop of Mo’s family. “Come with me. You can eat wontons every day.”
The master helped him bury his family and bought him new clothes.
“Since you recognize me as your master, let’s give you a name.”
“I have a name.”
“You don’t know anything about this. But as your Master, and you are now my apprentice and a cultivator, so I should give you a Taoist name. Iron-blooded heart, unswerving, yin and yang of the universe, all in one, I will call you…Tie Dan!”
He was abducted by this bowl of wonton back then, and followed the playful old man to sell wontons. Until one day, the old man made a flying sword with the stove that he used to cook the wontons…
“You said that you are a master craftsman but you like to sell wontons.” Mo Tianliao squatted in the yard with the master, holding a bowl of wontons.
“Boy, I have passed on to you what I have learned throughout my life, so can’t you at least respect me more?” Hun Dun took a sip of the hot soup and said indignantly.
“At the beginning, I agreed to follow you, but all I learned from you was to sell wontons, but you didn’t tell me your purpose was to teach me craftsmanship.” Mo Tianliao finished the wontons,  patted his butt and went away.
Hun Dun was so angry that he blew his beard, and when he recovered, he found that Mao Dan was putting his monkey paw into his bowl to fish for wontons.
“Mao Dan! Your paw was just now scratching your ass!”
The exclamation of Master Hun Dun shook the crane on the roof.
In the middle of the night, Mo Tianliao flew quietly to the White Tiger Floating Island. He turned into a tree and moved slowly, until he reached the small house where Qingtong lived. He suddenly turned into a sapling, got into the house, and quickly covered the place with a strong barrier enchantment, hiding his own breath.
Qingtong was lying on the bed, playing with his fingers boredly. He turned his head when he heard the movement, and couldn’t help laughing.
“Baby!” Mo Tianliao jumped onto the bed and hugged Qingtong tightly into his arms, the two of them felt that the days they spent apart were like years.
“Are we carrying a clandestine love affair?” Qingtong looked at him with a pair of clear eyes.
Mo Tianliao, who was quietly unbuttoning his clothes, paused: “We are Taoist lovers who have worshipped heaven and earth, so how could it be considered as ‘having an affair’?”
“But my family doesn’t know it, it is a private love affair.” Qingtong curled his eyes, seeming to find this statement very interesting.
Mo Tianliao turned over and kissed the cool thin lips: “Yes, in order for your grandparents to agree, we have to cook the uncooked rice.”
“Um… how do we cook it?”
“When you have my little sapling in your stomach, your family will have to marry you to me.”
“No, it should be that you have my little tiger, so that I can barely marry you.”
“Well, whether it’s a young sapling or a tiger, let’s hurry up and make it.”
“Okay……”
Great-Grandpa couldn’t sleep at night, so he got up for a walk, and walked to his great-grandson’s house. The little tiger cubs were afraid of sleeping on their own. The son should not be afraid as he had his wife with him, but the great-grandson was different.
The next day, when Mo Tianliao woke up holding Qingtong who was sleeping, he found a big tiger lying outside the door!
How could Great-grandpa sleep in front of the door? Mo Tianliao was horrified, and he didn’t know when this guy came over, did he hear the movement in the room?
“Hey, Master, what should we do?” Taishi flew over with a big mouth, and said nervously.
Xuan Jian followed Taishi and lit a piece of candle in the mirror.
“After the affair, you should have left before dawn. We are in big trouble now …” Taishi went round the room. Mo Tianliao looked at the sky, and it was indeed still dark. The big tiger was guarding the door and he couldn’t leave. Fortunately, he couldn’t get in since there is a strong barrier enchantment. He simply hugged Qingtong and continued to sleep.
Great-Grandpa opened his eyes, yawned, and when he saw his great-grandson coming out, he stood up and licked him happily.
“Great-Grandpa, have you rinsed your mouth?” Qingtong stopped the big furry mouth with one hand, in disgust.
“Roar!” Great-Grandpa said that he had just eaten toothbrush grass, and raised his paw, pulled out a handful of grass and handed it to Qingtong, motioning him to eat too.
Qingtong stuffed a leaf in his mouth, carrying a bare young sapling in his hand, and went to find the third uncle and sister-in-law.
Days passed, and when Shi Di ascended with his big lion, Mo Tianliao had already repaired the pillars and railings of the entire Heavenly Palace, earning tens of millions of merits.
“Duantian, hahahaha, long time no see.” Shi Di gave him a punch and smiled blindly.
The blood contract broke the moment the demon beast ascended, and the big lion, as an ascended immortal lion, also got the jade token of a loose immortal and was excitedly ready to go around.
“Hey, where are you going?” Shi Di grabbed the lion’s thick mane on the neck.
“We are no longer bound in the blood contract.” Hei Yanshi turned into a human form and said happily.
Shi Di frowned, clutching Hei Yanshi’s clothes and ignoring his words, then turned to Mo Tianliao and said, “Duantian, where is your cat? Why are you not inviting me to your immortal residence?”
Mo Tianliao was holding a hibiscus branch that he asked for from the Emperor of Heaven. This hibiscus branch was not the kind of hibiscus that was seen in the mortal world before. It was a branch on the sacred tree where the sun rested in ancient times. He planned to use this as a betrothal gift to propose marriage to the White Tiger Clan.
Looking at Shi Di up and down, Mo Tianliao chuckled: “Everything in the immortal world depends on merit. You are now poor. I can take you in temporarily, but remember to pay me back when you earn merit.” Finally someone was as poor as his original ascended self!
“Okay!” Shi Di was very happy, clutching the reluctant Hei Yanshi and left with Mo Tianliao.
Mo Tianliao first went to the market street to buy a box of crispy fish cakes before going to the Green Dragon Floating Island.
“Roarr?” Hei Yanshi turned into his lion form again, seeing all kinds of immortal demon beasts rolling all over the floor, he couldn’t help rushing over, and rolled.
“Yow, Hei Yanshi, you are here too!” Tianlang, who recognized the big black lion, ran over and sniffed each other with the big lion.
“Is this the place where demon pets are housed?” He was very curious to see Mo Tianliao holding the cat out of a pile of fur balls.
“Almost.” Mo Tianliao said vaguely.
“That’s good. I’ll go to earn money during the day and just throw Hei Yanshi here.” Shi Di was very happy.
“This is the Green Dragon Island. If you want to deposit your demon beast here, you have to pay enough merit points.” Mo Tianliao raised his chin and motioned to look over there. The owner of this floating island, the Green Dragon, was holding a red feather ball and enjoying the cool breeze under the tree.
This was also true. When the cubs are placed on the Green Dragon Floating Island, the Department Secretary would directly transfer the merits of the cubs’ elders to Mingyan every day.
Shi Di scratched his head, and for the first time in his life, he didn’t have any money to spend, so he was really not used to it. At this moment, a billow of auspicious clouds came hurriedly from the horizon. A tall immortal carrying a huge immortal hoe, laughed and leaped forward, and took Shi Di into his arms: “Sledgehammer! It’s your good Master! I have been looking forward to seeing you!”
A tall man was held in his arms and rubbed his head by another taller man, how strange the situation looked.
“Master!” Shi Di was very excited, he hadn’t seen his master for a long time.
“Lingshan Great Immortal!” Mingyan recognized the person and came over to say hello. This Great Immortal Lingshan is the Great Immortal who was responsible for digging in the Ling mines. Because he was good at mining, the Emperor of Heaven gave him the entire mines. As long as he pays a fixed amount of  immortal stone to the Heavenly Palace every year, the rest belonged to him.
“Great, come, go digging with Master! No worries about food or drink!” Lingshan Immortal said with a smile.
“Okay!” Shi Di lifted out his own Ground-Breaking Hammer, held it on his shoulders, grabbed the big lion and left, turned his head in mid-air, and said boldly, “Duantian, I will invite you to drink another day!”
Mo Tianliao looked stiffly at the retreating back of Shi Di, and suddenly felt a little depressed. Shi Di had a master who could get a mine for his apprentice, in contrast what his master gave him was a bowl of leftover wontons…
Xuan Jian showed a bleak background, and a few leaves fell mercilessly to imitate Mo Tianliao’s depressed mood.
Mo Tianliao punished Taishi with a fireball.
“Ahhh, my Didi was the one who provoked you, why are you burning me instead?” Taishi cried and flew in the air.
“You taught him badly.” Mo Tianliao snorted and left with Qingtong in his arms.
Xuan Jian flew in front of his brother and showed a picture of splashing water sympathetically, but it was just a picture, and water would never be splashed out.
Mo Tianliao planted the hibiscus wood on the White Tiger Floating Island, he catalyzed its birth with his inexhaustible wood power, and carved the hibiscus wood into a huge climbing frame. At this time, the White Tiger Floating Island had countless wooden toys, wooden swings, wooden mice, and wooden fish. A bunch of big tigers saw Mo Tianliao’s newly built climbing frame and immediately climbed up with great interest.
“This junior immortal’s residence has been built and completed, and I want to take Qingtong over to live with me.” Mo Tianliao said with a smile, quietly wiping the sweat of his palms on his sleeves.
When all the big tigers heard the words, they all looked up in unison.
“No!” Grandpa White Tiger said without thinking.
“I want to go with him!” Qingtong turned into a human form with a solemn expression.
Grandpa White Tiger immediately exploded his fur. How old is his grandson?! And he would just be abducted by a bad boy! No, no, absolutely not!
Great-Grandpa grabbed the bristling Grandpa and licked the puffed up fur and tried to smoothen them. This kid has crafted a lot of good things for the family, and Tongtong had fun with him every day, which is not bad.
“No, oh!” Grandpa White Tiger was still very angry.
Mo Tianliao pursed his lips, still thinking of ways to convince the angry Grandpa. However, before he could utter another word…
“He already has my little tiger cub.” Qingtong said suddenly.
The entire White Tiger Island was silent for a moment, and Grandpa White Tiger was stunned, with his hair sticking up on his head. The Great-Grandpa immediately licked the puffed hair down: “Since you’ve already done that kind of thing to someone, you have to be responsible.”
In this way, the White Tiger family agreed to Qingtong and Mo Tianliao to live in their new house. It’s just that Mo Tianliao was very worried. If he couldn’t hand over the tiger cub in a few years, will Grandpa tear him up?
“Then have you figured out a way?” Qingtong lay in the rocking chair and ate fried fish.
“Baby,” Mo Tianliao held his shoulders solemnly, “In order to save my life, we have to seize the time to dual-cultivate and give birth to little tigers. ”
Qingtong looked at him quietly and slowly raised his hand.
“Ow, ow, ow, it hurts!”

————————–
Zaki~ this is finally the last chapter.. *wipes tears and snot*. Cattails started translating this novel, but due to unforeseen events, she had to stop. When I picked up this novel, it was amidst lots of persuasions and nagging from a Venerable Demon Lord of translations *Pffttt* but it was really fun. I had a lot of laughs, headaches and nosebleeds from decrypting those ‘seemingly’ easy characters, but have hundreds of different meanings, but I have to persevere and have to call for help from different cavalries :P.
I want to thank Animeart for staying and for being so patient in clearing up my tenses and not giving up, Co-TLing when I was swamped with work and studies. For Chole who had helped halfway checking my lousy translations and to Bamblueboo for her patience and continuing what Chole had started. And to all those guest editors and checkers whom I bothered in between.. and of course…to all the avid readers and supporters of Mo Tianliao and Tongtong and the whole bunch of crazy characters of WCSP– without your support and motivations, this novel won’t be finished. Thank you everyone.. I will miss you all..:)..I am very much aware that my translation is not hundred percent accurate and still needs lots of improvements. But I hope you enjoyed it as we have done our utmost best 🙂 Pls. Feel free to DM me and send me corrections so I can go back and edit it 🙂
Ani ~ I had so much fun. I will miss our hen-pecked carpenter and little bully claws and their divine artifacts!
Really grateful to Zaki for this opportunity. She let me TL as well ( more like i was poking my nose too much ) 😀 Thank you to Chole and Bam, who helped check our TLs. Finally to a BIG thank you to our readers. Without your encouragement we would never get here today.
Bam ~ It was a coincidence that I am involved as a TL-checker. That night when I was browsing some reviews on my favorite web novel, I happened to see the recruitment. I had no experience on CTL-checking before but was very interested in it. Thanks to Zaki and Ani who taught me a lot during the translation. I had so much fun working with you both😊. Thank you to our readers! Hope you enjoy WCSP~~
