When Taishi uttered the sentence, everyone was stunned into silence.
“Didi?” Mo Tianliao caught the big mouth in his hand, but it was still dropping the teardrop-like-knife. He immediately used his divine sense to forcibly make Taishi stop crying and asked, “What do you mean, Didi?”
“In the pool where you found me.” When Taishi finished speaking these words, he turned into a round egg and shrunk into a ball to prevent itself from being burned.
Mo Tianliao was silent for a long time before he understood what Taishi meant. In the pool where Taishi was found, there should be another Wisdom of Heaven and Earth existing in there.
The pool was on Mount Yanhuo. He found Taishi totally by chance when he was setting up the Death Valley Array.
Shi Di was holding the mineral essence in his hand. He saw the green dragon carrying Mo Tianliao and whizzing away. He blinked and looked back at Hei Yanshi and said: “Hit me, see if I’m dreaming.”
From the moment he entered the door, he had received countless ‘hard to digest’ news. Mingyan was a demon beast and he had already lived for 9000 years?
“Squish!” The big lion took human form, raised his hand and slapped Shi Di to the ground.
“Did Laozi allow you to hit so hard?!” Shi Di got up from the ground and gave the lion a punch.
Mount Yanhuo was currently in the season wherein it was constantly on fire, and the top of the mountain was blazing with flames.
The giant dragon swung its tail in the air, letting Mo Tianliao point out the direction of the pool. When Mo Tianliao had come, it was the season when the fire on top of the mountain was extinguished. Now the fire was raging, and the road was barely visible. The good thing was that Mo Tianliao’s soul had floated on this mountain for 300 years. Even if he couldn’t see clearly, he could still find the way to the pool.
Passing through the Death Valley, there was the volcano that burned most fiercely and the huge pit on the top of the mountain led to the pool where the spiritual wisdom was hidden. At the beginning, Mo Tianliao had come to the place, wanting to find some flame crystal while the volcanic flames were out.
The Green Dragon swayed his tail and whizzed towards the top of the mountain.
Mo Tianliao immediately brought out an ice-attribute defensive artifact to cover himself and the kitten in his arms. The temperature in the cave was unimaginably high, comparable to the heat in the burning furnace. Deep into the center of the cavern, Mingyan transformed into a human form and waved a strong barrier enchantment to cover both of them: “Where is it?”
“That way.” Mo Tianliao used his Qi to fly quickly towards a small hole in the mountain wall. After passing through the hole, the heat suddenly disappeared. What appeared in front of him was a quiet valley with jagged rocks and no vegetation. At the foot of the cliff there was a clear spring.
Mo Tianliao went to the spring and squatted down. After careful observation, he determined that there was nothing but crystal clear soft sand at the bottom.
This pool seemed to be ordinary, but in fact it had been slowly accumulating spiritual energy since ancient times. If all the spiritual energy was trapped within the spring, then that would lead to a barren valley with not even a blade of grass growing. Usually, the spiritual wisdom would try to mask its presence in an area that was abundant in spiritual energy, just like the mineral essence that was found by Shi Di.
When he first found Taishi, it was just a small light spot floating in the pool. Mo Tianliao had never seen a spiritual Wisdom before, so he didn’t think much about it. Now he understood that the pool itself was a container. A powerful and stable realm that could cultivate Taishi’s wisdom. Naturally, there may be another one.
Mo Tianliao pulled Taishi out: “Go and call your Didi out.”
“Master, I’ve already done my brother a disservice by betraying him. Now, you’re asking me to personally call him out and push him into the fire!” Taishi turned into a delicate flower trembling in the wind.
Mo Tianliao snapped his fingers, and a wood-fire ignited at his fingertips.
“Aiya Aiya, since we are already here, it’s not right to come so far and leave without meeting him, ahahaha.” Taishi said and turned into a tortoiseshell-colored fish, then plopped into the pool of clear water. The little fish got into the transparent fine sand and stirred it back and forth. Not much later, a light blue transparent light spot floated up slowly.
The little fish was obviously very excited and circled the light spot happily, but the light spot was like an old monk, very serene and calm. It totally ignored him.
Qingtong squatted down, pointed to the small point of light, and looked back at Mo Tianliao.
Mo Tianliao suppressed the ecstasy in his heart and slowly nodded his head. That was indeed the spiritual Wisdom of Heaven and Earth, very similar to the original Taishi, only much quieter than Taishi.
Mingyan stood in the distance, afraid to get too close. He feared that his strong spiritual energy might end up scaring away the weak spiritual wisdom.
In order to lure the spiritual wisdom out, he needed to take out a better container than its original residence. Right now, Mo Tianliao had nothing better on his hand than the half-finished Xuan Jian.
So, he took out the Xuan Jian, which looked like a huge drop of water. Mo Tianliao controlled it with his spiritual power and slowly lowered it into the water.
The light blue blob of light swayed around the Xuan Jian, and then continued to float motionlessly, seemingly not interested in the Xuan Jian in the slightest.
Mo Tianliao couldn’t help but frown. Previously, Taishi was very happy to jump in. However, this spiritual wisdom seemed to have seen through his tricks, and it didn’t take the bait at all. It even prepared to go back to the sand at the bottom of the pool.
The tortoiseshell-colored fish was still immersed in the excitement of seeing his Didi, and completely forgot to help his master deceive his Didi.
“Maybe because Xuan Jian is almost close to being completely refined, its spiritual energy is internalized.” Qingtong stretched out a slender finger and dipped it in the water. Pure spiritual power slowly escaped from his fingertips into the water. This was the method that Qingtong usually used to coax the demon beast cubs.
The clear water rippled, and the light blue spot seemed to be stunned for a moment. It floated up slowly, like a tadpole, circling around Qingtong’s fingertips, and then gently touched the finger.
Mo Tianliao’s eyes shone lightly. He fished out Xuan Jian, and asked Qingtong for a drop of blood enclosed with some divine soul. The bead of blood dropped on the mirror surface, rippling into a circle. Mo Tianliao quickly wrapped the drop of blood with spiritual power, and drew a Spiritual Gathering Array on the mirror surface.
He put Xuan Jian back into the water, drew the array with the blood essence, and gathered the spiritual energy from the pool into Xuan Jian. In addition, Qingtong’s blood essence filled with his spiritual power, created an illusion for the spiritual wisdom, that the spiritual power of the pool was about to be absorbed by the mirror, and it must be hidden in the mirror.
The pale blue blob of light hesitated for a moment and then suddenly drilled itself into the Xuan Jian.
Mo Tianliao quickly picked up Xuan Jian and sat down with his knees crossed. He put Xuan Jian in his hands and immediately heated it with the wood-fire.
Originally, he wanted to take it back to the palace to refine it, but he had just used Qingtong’s spiritual power and blood, which meant the master of the artifact was already recognized. Hence he needed to refine it immediately and seal all the gaps.
Mingyan stood at a side, silently protecting everyone. Qingtong turned himself into a kitten once again and slept in Mo Tianliao’s arms.
The Spiritual Wisdom of Heaven and Earth were tempered by fire, and it was fused with the ancient demon beast’s essence and blood. After nine days and nine nights, a dazzling red light appeared in the sky. All the white jade on the volcano was dyed red, and it was followed by lightning and thunder. The volcano, which had no rain all year round, had a rainstorm.
The huge commotion alarmed the entire cultivation world, and the sky bathed with the auspicious light proved that another divine artifact was born.
The disc-sized Xuan Jian slowly rose into the air, rapidly growing larger in the glistening light, as large as a carriage covering the sky, reflecting back the lightning striking down from the clouds.
“Rumble—” the thunder and lightning returned to the clouds and scattered the dark clouds overhead. Suddenly, the clouds dissipated and the rain stopped, leaving only the glow in the sky.
The huge Xuan Jian slowly reduced into a round mirror the size of a palm, and fell on the kitten’s head with a clank.
“Meow?” The snow-colored kitten, who had just woken up from a nap, blankly looked up at the mirror above his head and innocently purred at Mo Tianliao.
Mo Tianliao couldn’t help but laugh softly, he picked up the mirror: “Baby, from now on this divine artifact is yours.”
“Didi ah!” Taishi, who had been on the sidelines and did not dare to speak, saw that the great work was finally done and immediately turned into a tortoise-shell chain, wrapping the mirror in a circle.
Mingyan, who had been frozen to one side, came back to himself. He walked forward slowly and looked at the mirror entangled by the chain: “Has it finally been refined?”
Mo Tianliao raised his hand, beckoned Taishi over, and forcibly turned it into a wrist guard. Xuan Jian then spontaneously and consciously flew to the kitten’s side.
Qingtong turned into a human form, and with a movement of his divine mind, he turned the Xuan Jian into the size of a plate and handed it to Mingyan.
Mingyan took it and stared at the dark blue mirror surface for a long time, then he slowly put his hand on it. Although Xuan Jian was a mirror, it couldn’t reflect reality. So looking at it like that, nothing but a dark void could be seen. Slowly, he moved his hand away, the mirror’s surface slowly rippled, just like water, from the center of the mirror, rippling outwards.
When the last ripple reached the edge of the mirror, a devilishly handsome face that was almost coquettish, appeared in the mirror.
A pair of phoenix eyes that were overbearing and serious, thin lips slightly hooked up, seemingly smiling and non-smiling. The beauty was like that of burning flame, which led people to fly like moths to the fire and burn the soul to ashes.
“Dan Xi…” the well-defined fingers, slowly ran across the dashing eyebrows and the scene in the mirror changed again.
This time a very scenic image emerged in the mirror, complete with twittering birds and flowers in full bloom. On a tall Wutong tree, a delicate bird’s nest could be seen. Out of this nest, a fat, fluffy little bird peeked out.
The little bird was so fat that one could hardly see it’s neck. He flapped a pair of fluffy wings a few times and jumped to the edge of the nest. The little fat bird was covered with red fluff, standing beside the nest, it looked just like a dazzling flame.
The chubby bird, with its head held high, was hopping around the edge of the nest when it accidentally fell down.
Mingyan, who was staring at the mirror, couldn’t help but move for a moment, trying to reach out and catch the falling red fluffy ball. Only then did he realize that he was holding Xuan Jian which was only reflecting the past, and he’s not actually present in the valley of his childhood.
The little fat bird eventually fell down and flapped its wings in the air. However, its body was too fat and its wings were too small. It was useless trying to keep flapping over and over again.
Under the Wutong tree, there was a thick little grass nest. In the nest, a small green dragon, only a foot long was curled up in a ball sleeping peacefully. All of a sudden, a huge red fluff ball fell with a ‘thud’ on the sleeping green dragon and smashed his body into a straight line.
The two little guys looked at each other for a moment, and the little red bird took a bite of the little green dragon, as if it felt that it had found delicious food. The little green dragon twisted his body and in turn entangled the little fat bird. The two little guys immediately started to fight earnestly.
“Cough...” Mingyan gave a light cough, intended to turn off Xuan Jian, but Qingtong snatched it away and continued to watch the scene with interest.
The little red bird fell down and couldn’t get back up to its nest any more, so it stayed in the nest of the little green dragon and didn’t leave. After countless number of years, the little red bird grew wings and already could fly, so it took the little green dragon back to its own nest, and the little green dragon as usual encircled the little red bird. The long green dragon had wrapped the little red bird in such a way that only its head could peek out. It opened its yellow beak helplessly.
Later, the little red bird shed all its fluff and turned into a gorgeous vermilion bird. The two wings were like clouds in the sky, soaring effortlessly into the sky, and the green dragon turned into a long giant dragon and followed.
Qingtong’s eyes curved in a smile. The Green Dragon and Vermillion Bird danced together. The Dragon and Vermillion Bird were considered auspicious, which was a metaphor for a peaceful world. He had only heard of this since childhood, but he had never seen it. Mo Tianliao also came over to see it.
However, the beautiful picture didn’t last long. The gorgeous Vermillion Bird turned around and pecked at the Green Dragon’s head. The newly emerged bump that hid the dragon horn was pecked at until it caused the dragon immense pain. The Green Dragon roared and bit the Vermillion Bird’s neck.
Mo Tianliao who was waiting to see the auspicious Dragon and Vermillion Bird: “…………..”
