Jiang MingYuan had been leaving work early occasionally as of late just so that he could wait outside the kindergarten and catch a glimpse of his son. He was here today as well. The only difference was that the familiar silhouette who always waited early at the front of the kindergarten wasnât there today.
Seeing how other kids had been picked up one by one and XingXing was the only one left holding the teacherâs hand standing to one side, Jiang MingYuan gave it a little bit of thought and finally, failing to resist the temptation to get close to his child, got out of the car.
It had been over half a month but XingXing still remembered the smart uncle. He didnât shy away from Jiang MingYuan when he saw him but greeted him.
That made Jiang MingYuan very happy.
He had asked the kindergarten for help when he wanted to do a DNA test, but XingXingâs teacher didnât recognize him. Even though it looked like XingXing knew Jiang MingYuan, but she still wouldnât let him leave with Jiang MingYuan. Seeing that Cheng Huan still hasnât showed up and worried that the child would catch a cold in the cold wind, the teacher wanted to bring him back inside the classroom.
The teacher walked in the front with XingXing, followed by Jiang MingYuan who had invited himself.
XingXingâs teacher didnât want to just let anyone into the school and was about to stop him when Jiang MingYuanâs assistant, an expert in reading his bossâs mind, had already had things arranged for him. The principal came quickly and invited him in before the teacher could finish what she was saying.
And that was how Jiang MingYuan was able to legitimately spend some time with his son.
Jiang MingYuan might had felt shock and helpless when he first found out that he has a son, but now, he had truly fallen for XingXing and really wanted to protect him.
XingXing was a well-behaved child who was pretty and cute. He didnât throw fits easily and with every look that Jiang MingYuan gave him, his heart softened some more. Being able to spend time with XingXing had really relaxed him, which was something that didnât happen very often.
It was very unfortunate that he didnât have too many opportunities like this to get close to his son. Looking at how excited the child was knowing that his mother was on her way, a new idea that popped into Jiang MingYuanâs head recently had replaced his original plan.
Perhaps⊠he should find a time and sit down with the kidâs mother and talk about this.
Once things were in the open, regardless of whether he would be able to bring the child home, he could at least be out in the open. Itâd beat having to be so sneaky just to be able to spend any time with his son.
That was his plan but there was no rush. Jiang MingYuan didnât plan on staying for too long. Itâs best to find a more appropriate time to approach this subject.
Thinking about that, Jiang MingYuan stood up and was about to take off. But he had only taken a couple of steps when the door to the classroom was swung opened.
Cheng Huan rushed into the classroom, looked around the entire room, and finally was able to feel relieved when she saw XingXing.
The little kiddo was, naturally, very excited when he saw his mother. He bounced up from his seat and bounced into Cheng Huanâs arms like a little cannon ball. Cheng Huan took a couple steps back and caught him in her arms before she planted a kiss on each side of his cheeks.
âSorry to keep you waiting, baby. Mommy wonât be late again next time.â
XingXing giggled and also kissed Cheng Huan back. His arms around his neck and his cheek rubbed up against hers, he said softly to her, âMy teacher said Mommy was busy.â
âThat was still Mommy fault. I owe you an apology.â Cheng Huan stood up and thank the teacher who stayed in the classroom while holding XingXingâs hand. âThank you so much, Teacher.â
