The place that Cheng Huan rented wasnât very big and the couch wasnât very long, probably not even 2 meters in length. Subtracting the arm rests on both sides, the actual area where one could sit on was probably around 1.6 meters or so.
Jiang MingYuan wasnât short; perhaps around 1.85 meters. Sleeping on the couch, he couldnât even straighten out his legs. He was sleeping curled up on his side, looking quite pitiful.
XingXing sat hear Jiang MingYuanâs head with his toy. The Nine Links in his hand, dangling precariously over Jiang MingYuanâs head. It could fall at any given point.
Cheng Huan walked over, dragged the little guy off, and eliminated the possibility of his fatherâs face being ruined. She looked at the man on the couch, mulled over it a bit, and finally reached out, rocked him a few times, and called his name. âTime to get up.â
Jiang MingYuan wasnât asleep too soundly. He woke up right away. He frowned a little before he opened his eyes and sat up straight. The couch was short and narrow. The person who was deprived of sleep almost lost his balance and tumble off of the couch.
âPardon me.â Stumbling a little, Jiang MingYuan finally steadied himself on the couch. He pinched his nose bridge and his voice was hoarse from grogginess. âI donât know how I fell asleep.â
âI know!â XingXing got it again. He dashed out from behind Cheng Huan, with holding onto his Nine Links, and said, âDaddy said heâd get a little bit of rest before playing with me.â
Pouting, he looked very pitiful. âThen Daddy fell asleep.â
âAlright, you should do that yourself. If you are a real man you shouldnât let Daddy do all the work.â Cheng Huan pushed the little brat to one said and said to the man on the couch. âWhy donât you go wash up? Iâve made you some noodles.â
âThank you,â said Jiang MingYuan. He bent over and was about to put his shoes on. XingXing, who was just told by his mommy that he wasnât a real man, was eager to demonstrate his ability. He quickly ran over to the shoe cabinet, pulled out the last pair of slippers, and put it in front of Jiang MingYuan. âHere, Daddy. This is for you.â
There were no extra slippers in the house before and Jiang MingYuan didnât use to change out of his shoes when he came over. Cheng Huan did buy him cotton slippers later on, but she never showed them to him because of the awkward pattern on top on them.
And, just like that, she was set up by her own son once again.
Cheng Huan wasnât even going to get upset anymore. She just poked XingXing on his forehead. Meeting the look coming from the man, she said nonchalantly. âWell, change into the slippers then. It canât be comfortable wearing your leather shoes.â
âThank you.â Of course Jiang MingYuan still remember his previous conversation with Cheng Huan. He thanked her with just the perfect smile on his face. He took off his leather shoes again and put on the Daddy Bunny slippers. XingXing proactively put the shoes into the shoe cabinet.
For the sake of providing warmth, the outside of the cotton slippers had long fur on the outside. Even though it was menâs style and the color was more conservative, but the cartoon Daddy Bunny on top ruined its sophisticated look and replaced it with a lively feel.
All in all, it did not go well with Jiang MingYuan.
He had on custom made suits. It was the simplest black color with a dim grey tie. His hair was the perfect length and brushed back with hair gel. His face was chiseled and his features profound. There was nothing lively about this man.
Jiang MingYuan, on the other hand, didnât seem to feel that anything was out of place. He stood with after he put the slippers on. Took a few steps and even commented that they were very comfortable. Cheng Huan didnât say anything but XingXing came running over again to show off his little slippers.
