âWhat do you bring them over here for?â Cheng Huan was baffled. âItâs not like anyone here can wear them.â
Jiang MingYuan didnât know how to explain his own behavior either. Frowning, he looked at the wall and finally said softly, âBut you bought these.â
Cheng Huan felt that this manâs action of returning the clothes was crazy. It wasnât like anything else that she could use after he had returned them. She gave him a disapproving look but, with his back to her, he didnât see the look.
Feeling dejected, she started at the suit that he had on. Suddenly she thought she got it. This CEO had probably never worn any cheap clothes from a supermarket before. He probably just didnât want these clothes inside of his closet at all.
âFine. Just give me those.â Having figured that out, Cheng Huan wasnât too happy about it. She bent down and picked up the bag with the clothes inside and put them inside her closet inside the bedroom. When she returned, she said to him, âI guess you can leave them here. That way we will have them next time when we need them.â
Cheng Huan only said that to be polite but they sounded very different to Jiang MingYuan. He nodded and smiled gently. âThatâs exactly it.â
âWell. If thereâs nothing else, you can leave now.â His smile was a bit irritating. Cheng Huan turned away from him quickly. Squatting down to play with the ears on XingXingâs hood, she asked him to leave.
The two of them clung onto each again and there was no place left for him.
Jiang MingYuan stood there for a little while, sighed, and finally bid them farewell.
âGoodbye.â Cheng Huan waved her hand and didnât even bother looking at him. She even distracted XingXing so he wouldnât see his daddy out. The security door closed behind her and made a noise. Cheng Huan hrumphed and reached out to pinch XingXing on his cheek. âYou little traitor.â
That pinch was a bit hard and the little kiddoâs cheek turned pink. XingXing covered up his cheek and asked, dazed, âWhy did Mommy pinch me?â
âBecause I am taking it out on you.â Cheng Huan stood up and walked toward the bedroom while holding XingXingâs hand. She explained her illogical reason to him as they walked. âBecause your daddy is such a jerk that I am annoyed at your now.â
âMommy I am not annoying.â XingXing finally figured out what his mother was saying when he was placed in bed. He turned around, knelt on the bed and said in a serous tone. âDaddyâs annoying. We will snub him.â
âOkay! We will snub him!â Cheng Huan was happy all over again hearing that from her son. She pulled over the blanket, put it over XingXing, and gave him a goodnight kiss. âWe are on the same side.â
âYes! We are on the same side!â
XingXing was one whoâd keep to his words. He had promised his mommy that heâd snub daddy. When Jiang MingYuan called him out of his busy day the next day, XingXing wouldnât say a word to him.
âWhatâs the matter, baby. Who made you mad?â Jiang MingYuan started to get a little worried when he had gotten no response after he had been talking for a little while. He asked softly, âCan you tell Daddy?â
The exhaust was still running inside the kitchen and Cheng Huan had been in there for a while now. XingXing reached out and took a look over in that direction. Only after he was sure that Cheng Huan wasnât paying him any attention before he said softly and stealthily, âDaddy, Mommy said to snub you.â
Jiang MingYuan, ââŚâŚ Why?â
âMommy said you are a jerk.â When XingXing said that, he still felt a tingle on his cheek. With one hand over his cheek, he told on his mommy. âMommy even pinched my cheek.â
Jiang MingYuan didnât understand the logic in his sonâs words but he gathered that he had somehow offended Cheng Huan. He was a smart man but he wasnât good at being around women. These kinds of situations gave him headaches.
