author’s note: There’s an addition of characters. Perhaps, there’ll be mistakes with their name (I’m sorry in advance). Please kindly point them out.1
ā€œNice to meet you, I’m the eldest son of Duke Rowlight, I’m called Jade.ā€
ā€œThis should be our first meeting, I’m the only son of Marquis Signile, Zernite.ā€
ā€œUrm, I’m the son of Guneast2, Bailard. Pleased to meet you.ā€
Three of them bowed their heads in harmony.
The son of the prime minister, the son of the Captain of the Knight Order, and the grandson of the Head Priest….
Yup, all of them were the capture targets, I suppose.
Ahhh, was this the curse of the BL game?
Previously, when I won the duel, I asked Al to add ā€˜friends’. It was such a small world with only the two of us— Al and me. Al showed his disapproval, but since he lost the duel, he had to listen to me. Al made the request to the chamberlains, and like that we added more friends in our circle.
I just remembered, in the BL game, the capture targets were the son of the prime minister, the son of the Captain of the Knight Order, and the grandson of the Head Priest; they were all Al’s childhood friends.
Stupid me. Why was I making it flow just like in the BL game by my own hands…
ā€œListen well, I’m saying this in the first place to you all. Fania is my thing, don’t you lay a hand on him. If anyone is up to no good, I..ughkā€
In front of the three of them, Al wrapped his hand around my shoulder and spoke haughtily, so I used my free left hand to let him taste an uppercut punch.
This time I really did it. My left cheek that was punched by my father had just healed, I was afraid this time it would be my right cheek.
I let out a sigh.
Al rubbed the chin that was hit by me using his left hand, but his right hand over my shoulder didn’t budge.
Why was that?
ā€œWho is Al’s thing? Don’t treat people like they are objects.ā€
I thought this tyrant prince had been cured, but it seemed impossible. Hmm, personality could hardly change I guess.
ā€œgiggles So Your Highness Alfred really likes Fania-sama, I see.
I’ll be delighted if you come to like me, too, even a bit.ā€
Bailard gently spoke. His blond hair was silky smooth, his eyes a deep purple. He possesses a girl-like beauty.
ā€œUrmm, let me enter the gang too.ā€
Jade joined the conversation with a reddish face. He had blond hair and green eyes. There were freckles around his nose, he gave the impression of a lively boy.
ā€œME TOO, ME TOO, I WANNA BE FRIENDS TOO!ā€
The excited Zernite raised his voice, but noticing his voice was too loud, he hastily put his hands over his mouth. His hair was shiny jet-black, and his eyes were olive brown. He had a large mouth and sharp pointed brows. Among them, he had the biggest body.
Everyone was of the same age—7. They were classmates in the BL game, so it was a given.
Al and these three people with whom we would be spending time together, were the capture targets from the same class as the main character. Other than that, there was the student council president who was in the upper grade, and also the homeroom teacher.
There was supposed to be a hidden capture target, but I don’t know who that was. Either I didn’t play the game until the end, or I simply did not have interest in him. Or it could be that I just hadn’t recalled that information yet.
In Al’s world, he had always been the number one and had no one to compare with, so with the addition of these three, it felt refreshing. The world that Al had never noticed in his life until now, these people would show it all to Al.
Al’s world was now expanding.
Zernite with the big body really served his name as the son of the knight captain, his swords skills were excellent. Al just could not win against Zernite in swords no matter how he tried. He would throw a tantrum each time he lost, but little by little he started to mull over what he should do in order to win.
Bailard was deeply well-versed in the arts, so when he did a music performance, or drawing, he was practically second to none.
Once, everyone was drawing people using the grand chamberlain, Nozart, as the model. Bailard showed everyone his drawing that’s very close to realism, while next to him, I drew something like a monster that just came out from nowhere. Al drew a stick figure.
Looking at Al’s drawing, Nozart was so touched to tears, saying ā€˜That’s just like me’, and insisted on bringing that drawing of stick figure home to turn that into his house treasure, and there was a dispute with Al over it.
Jade, the heir to a ducal house that ruled over a wide territory in rural areas, had lived there when he was smaller due to asthma. From there, he knew practically all the names of small insects to the point that he was called an insect professor.
There was a rhinoceros beetle I took from a branch of a tree which I climbed easily, but when Al saw it, he was taken aback and his knees went weak. On the other hand, Jade’s eyes were sparkling as he told us about beetles in minute details. Timidly, Al put the beetle on his hand. At that exact moment, the beetle pulled out his wings and flew away. We had a good laugh.
The days leisurely passed by.
The days spent with everyone had opened up Al’s closed-off world, and with that he should have seen a lot of things with his own eyes. His own position and power. And then, the adoration and envy directed from others.
Everyone around Al that has been serving him, and brought him up all said that he was the best in everything he did. So just how much was that was actually his own ability, or whether the words he took for granted until now were true or not; I believe he must have started to figure out these things now.
I want to believe that the tyrant Prince Alfred is gone for good. Let me believe that Fania’s future is gradually turning brighter.
