Quit lingering around any longer, they left the riverside together. Mo Qiu needed to return to the Fiend Palace, while the Master and the disciple had to go back Tai Hua Mountain. Sharing the same direction, Mo Qiu took the role of a guide in the Fiend Realm for them.

As the most powerful cultivator in the world, Xuan Lingzi didn’t have to take a rest and watch out for Demon Beasts, however, when night fell, he still slowed down and eventually stopped moving forward. Luo Jianqing looked at him in confusion, while his Master looked back in tender stare and whispered, “leavingTai Hua Mountain regardless of the contract that day, I was slightly harassed by my Internal Demon.”

Eyes widened, Luo Jianqing suddenly recalled there’s a contract restricting his Master’s freedom!

“Master, are you…”

“I’m all right.” Since Mo Qiu was staying around, Xuan Lingzi held back the idea of embracing his disciple, instead, he looked at Luo Jianqing with vast softness filling his eyes and lowered his voice, “For me, that Internal Demon is easy to handle. I’ll recover in a short time. Don’t worry about me, Jianqing, I’m okay.”

His words didn’t ease Luo Jianqing’s mind.

Just like Xuan Lingzi was worried about him, Luo Jianqing was concerned about his Master as well. He had made his mind that he would ask Yu Qingzi to come by and check Xuan Lingzi out as soon as they went back to Tai Hua Mountain. Only in this way he could finally relieve.

When they took a rest at night, Xuan Lingzi sat down and meditated, leaving Luo Jianqing and Mo Qiu chatting casually.

“Mo Qiu, I once thought that I am already indeed very talented and lucky to earn opportunities. Mo Qiu rolled his eyes at Luo Jianqing, “Have you ever saw a dragon who is as breathtaking as me?”

Mouth twitched, Luo Jianqign said, “My Master is right there, so don’t force me to slap you.”

Glancing at Luo Jianqing quietly, Mo Qiu then moved his eyes away and taunted, “Such a Master’s sweet good boy.”

Luo Jianqing, “…”

After a long silence, Luo Jianqing asked, “As the disciple of Fiend Exalt, you don’t listen to your Master?”

“Why should I? I am his disciple but not his servant. It was him who begged me to be his disciple, and it is HIS fortune to have me as his disciple, okay?”

“But when I was in the Fiend Palace, Yun Xiang told me that you weren’t here because your Master ordered you to deal with something. Well, she might be lying but… hum.”

Time passed quickly. At dawn, Xuan Lingzi took the two young men along to the South by his Flying Sword and they soon got near the Fiend Palace. This time, Xuan Lingzi stopped 10 miles away from the palace. He said aloofly, “I’ve never get along with the Fiend Exalt. Jianqing, say goodbye to your friend here.”

Nodding, Luo Jianqing turned to Mo Qiu and beamed, “I have a feeling that you would achieve the Body Fusion Period next time I meet you.”

Mo Qiu replied casually, “Not ‘would’, I WILL.”

Luo Jianqing was speechless, “Why  are you such a… narcissist?”

“Well, you have no idea that once, if I were given one more month, I would almost have broken through…” Mo Qiu suddenly shut up. Luo Jianqing waited a long time for him to keep going but the latter kept his mouth tight until he changed the subject, “Anyway, I will definitely achieve the next level very soon. Luo Jianqing, can you just try to catch up with my pace? I can’t accept the fact that my friend of life and death owns such a low-level cultivation.”

Summoning Floating Frost in a blink, Luo Jianqing was about to slap Mo Qiu in the face, using the scabbard, but he realized that his Master was standing behind him. Luo Jianqing said, “My Master suffered from his Internal Demons because he left Tai Hua Mountain in order to find me. I have to go back with him now.”

Eyes fixed on Luo Jianqing, Mo Qiu suddenly started to operate a hand seal.

Shocked, Luo Jianqing watched him sealing. Pupils shrinking, Xuan Lingzi stared Mo Qiu’s hand and didn’t move his eyes away for a second.

It was a simple seal. Luo Jianqing noticed little change after Mo Qiu finished it. However, their voice couldn’t transmit out of the ward any more. Mo Qiu asked Luo Jianqing, “My Master told me that there is a contract between Human and Demon Beasts. Your Master left Tai Hua Moutain for you and was indeed hurt badly on his Primordial Life, but, have you ever thought that maybe… there is someone else who got hurt for you as well?”

Luo Jianqing frowned slightly and asked in concern, “Whom are you talking about?”

Mo Qiu said nothing, just lay his eyes on him, while Luo jianqing watched back.

They stared at each other for a while till Mo Qiu burst out a laughter and sneered, “Believing everything I told you? Why, Luo Jianqing of Tai Hua Mountain, you are such a naive kid. Alright, I have to hurry my way back to the Fiend Palace. My Master is waiting for me. After all, I am a genius whose cultivation base is growing every second!”

Mouth twitched, Luo Jianqing held back the thought of slapping him with the scabbard and watched him left.

When Mo Qiu was almost out of his sight, Luo Jianqing couldn’t help to chuckle anymore, “Be careful, do you hear me?”

Lifting his arm and waving, Mo Qiu didn’t even turn back.

Luo Jianqing went back to his Master after Mo Qiu’s figure disappeared into the vast forest. Without given the time to open his mouth, Luo Jianqing was dragged into Xuan Lingzi’s chest.

Astonished, Luo Jianqing heard his Master whispering beside his ear, “Jianqing, that guy is your… friend?”

Luo Jianqing didn’t expect to hear this, so he just said, “Yes, Master. I told you before that I met Mo Qiu in the Liu Yan Valley and together we survived from many life-threatening dangers. He is my friend of life and death and saved my life several times. Although he is a Fiend Cultivator, Master, he told me that he never killed anyone, and I believe him.”

Lifting his eyes, Luo Jianqing watched his Master with sincere kindling in his eyes, as if he was worried about Mo Qiu’s safety since now Xuan Lingzi knew that he was a Fiend Cultivator.

However, Xuan Lingzi was just looking at him. Eyes scintillating like shining stars, the Master gazed at his disciple for a long time and then hold his beloved closer to his chest, “Alright, he is your friend of life and death. You’ve only cultivated for fifty years, and it is very lucky of you to find a trustworthy friend. That guy reminds me of your Little Sister. You can introduce him to her if possible.”

Luo Jianqing, “…”

It was later that Luo Jianqing finally figured out, “Are you… asking me to bring them together?”

Xuan Lingzi nodded slightly.

Luo Jianqing was speechless, “Why, Master? They share little in common.”
