The Transmigration Survival Guide Volume 2 Chapter 43
âHave you always been bathing together?!â
Lucia looked at Veirya with astonishment. Baffled, Veirya tilted her head, âIs there a problem with that, Lucilia? Didnât we use to bath together?â
âNo, no, no, no, thereâs a massive problem, okay?! Heâs a man. Youâre a girl. Especially⌠especiallyâŚ.â
Lucia looked at Veiryaâs voluptuous breasts and gulped her saliva. I didnât quite understand what that reaction was supposed to mean, as in, was she jealous or was she eager to grope them? Veirya looked down at her own breasts. She jiggled them with her hands. âWhatâs the matter? Is there a problem? He is different to me, though. I think that. Heâs quite similar to you, however. Especially his chest. Iâm so envious of you both. You donât have to deal with it. Getting in the way when you wield a sword.â
âHearing you say that makes me feel that you just insulted me. Iâm a girl, as well. Youâre saying that I resemble a man?! Youâre mean!!â
Lucia, who never felt discontent about her flat chest, but Veiryaâs straight cross brought her attention to her chest. Lucia angrily looked at me. I was dumbfounded.
âWhat does it have to do with me? Iâve always considered you flat-chested, but Iâve never explicated it! Itâs not my fault!! Moreover, the one who should be hurt is me, shouldnât it? Iâm a man, not to mention the fact that Iâve bathed with Veirya, yet she didnât notice our differences⌠Wait, could she feel that the difference is of no significance?! I view her as a goddess, while she views me as a brother?!â
Lucia grabbed Veiryaâs arms and shouted, âDid he ever do anything to you?!! Did you ever do anything that crossed the line, such as groping your breasts or somewhere else?!â
The scene gave off the vibe of a strange police officer asking an ignorant young girl if she violated the girl.
âWhy do I suddenly feel as though Iâve become a paedophiliac suspect? The heavens can prove that I never violated Veirya. Itâs always been her whoâs done all sorts of things to me! Sheâs the one whoâs always been initiating! Iâve never even had a chance.â
âNo,â answered Veirya, shaking her head. Lucia appeared to be relieved. However, Veirya then added, âI told him. To do so. Is there a problem with that?â
Veirya left Lucia speechless. Lucia turned to look at me again but with a considerably sympathetic gaze. âI did think that Veirya might not have awareness with regards to this sort of stuff, but Iâve now realised that sheâs totally ignorant of it. My mistake. Iâm now very worried about whether or not Veirya will cross the line with you.â
âI didnât! I didnât cross the line!â
I never expected to hear that from Veirya, not to mention the hint of anger in her tone. Lucia immediately raised her hands; she turned and headed to the door. âAs a female elf, I wonât bath with a human male before Iâm married, so you can take your time with your bath. Iâm going to bath in the lake outside!â
I gave Lucia a friendly reminder, âItâs very cold. If you donât want to bath with me, I can draw some extra hot water for you. Thatâs fine by me.â
âI donât want to let a male see my body before marriage, either. We elves are very sensitive about this sort of stuff!â
It wasnât as though I was interested in her washboard. Veirya didnât stop her, either. We watched Lucia leave the building. Veirya didnât comment. I checked the time. Anna and Leah were currently in the kitchen. Leah stood on a wooden barrel. Her naked feet radiated an alluring aura. Her small figure filled one with anticipation. Her small buttocks looked curvaceous thanks to her one-piece suit. She was just a child, but she already had the genetics to make her a beauty. She lived up to her reputation as a succubus.
âShe wonât be inferior to Veirya when she grows up.â
Veirya silently sat in front of me. She didnât do anything. I didnât plan to invite her to play cards. We werenât in the Witcher, and I couldnât just invite her to a game of Witcher the Card Game. However, I looked at her with a tinge of anticipation. Honestly speaking, I thought that sheâd fly off the handle over the operation I planned just as last time, when she just took me away. I never thought that sheâd approve without any qualms. That was completely different to her past self.
I broke the silence, âVeirya, do you really approve of it?â
Veirya looked up at me with her lifeless gaze. âWhich âitâ?â
âEverything that I said; you refused Lucia when she suggested having me go over to help her, yet you approved this time.â
Veirya tilted her head. She reacted as though I was asking the obvious, âLast time, Lucilia mentioned it. She wanted you to go. This time. You asked to go. I think. You. Canât leave me. So. I agreed.â
âYou approved solely because I mentioned it?â
âIf Lucilia wants you to go, you might not be able to return, because sheâll steal you. However, if you want to go, you will return. I, too, wonât interrupt your work.â
Colour me astonished. Veiryaâs way of deciding things seemed incredibly simple. Her thought process was that if somebody wanted to borrow me, then sheâd never agree, whereas if I took the initiative to suggest it, then she wonât interrupt my work. Sheâd give permission and wouldnât get in my way.
âWhat the heck? Is she too virtuous or what? She doesnât get in her manâs way, but wonât allow other women to invite her man. Sheâs also very confident. She did say that I wouldnât betray her if I was the one who said Iâd go.â
âYou want betray me, right?â asked Veirya once again, âLeah. Is also here. So, you wouldnât. Betray us. I believe. That you are going out for us. Therefore. I wonât interrupt you. Or get in your way. However. I wonât lend you. Youâre mine. My spoil of war. I. Wonât let go. You are my spoil of war that Her Majesty gave me. I wonât let anyone snatch you for her sake. Youâre my spoil of war. And my honour.â
After Veirya said that, she stood up. âNow. Letâs take a bath. Tidy up a room tonight. For Lucilia.â
âOh, right, Veirya, do you need a room? Your body wonât hold up if you donât sleep.â
âI. Donât need a room. If Iâm not downstairs. And danger comes. I canât. Protect you.â
Veiryaâs answer was simple yet decisive. She set her sword on the table then walked away. She undid her shirt buttons.
What she said wasnât a confession. In fact, it somewhat hurt my feelings. Veirya didnât value me, because I was me, but merely because Her Majesty gave me to her.
âWhat are the feelings I had for her, then? Can she feel the same way about everyone else as she feels about me?â
