The Tamed Heiress - Chapter 34 - Sleepy Translations
6-7 minutes 06.10.2021
âHello.â
Daniel hesitated, trying not to leave immediately after she said hello. Dana looked at him, wondering if he had anything to say.
âHis Grace TertiusâŚâ
He opened his mouth as she sensed, but he hesitated halfway through, as if unsure of what to say.
âHeâs a very important person in this country. He is of noble descent, and His Majestyâs trusted.â
âOh⌠I see.â
She didnât know why he was saying this, but Dana nodded lightly.
âSo, his spouse is also worthy of him⌠I think she needs to serve him.â
Ah. Dana knew why he was talking about this. He was worried that a woman who didnât know her identity or place would hold Leon back.
Her pride was hurt, but she had nothing to say back.
Dana didnât know who she was yet, and like his concerns, she was going to hold him back for a while until she regained her memory.
ââŚâ
When Dana went quiet with her eyes down, Daniel stopped talking and cleared his throat. Then he sighed silently and corrected his words.
âI was rude, Iâm sorry, please pretend you didnât hear me.â
He bowed his head and went down the stairs and disappeared behind the front door on the first floor. Dana blinked at the entrance where he left with a puzzled look on her face.
She couldnât understand Danielâs feelings, but he seemed to regret what he said right away for some reason.
Dana tilted her head once and walked to the dining room. Contrary to Danielâs concerns, Dana was not much hurt by his words. This was because she thought it was a natural concern for an aide.
Should I take a walk?
Leon was always busy. He often came to see her while he was busy. Even before now, Dana originally had a lot of time alone during the day.
For the rest of the time, she was lost in thought trying to recall memories, read books, and take a light walk in the castle. She could have gone out of the castle, but somehow she didnât feel like it.
Am I someone who was always this lazy?
She couldnât say anything because she didnât know who she was before this, but she could see that she was very free. She spoke while she was resting, she felt anxious about herself, but she had a strong desire to continue.
âWell, if only I could live like this⌠Even if I canât rememberâŚâ
The peaceful spring energy in the chilly wind was making her feel more relaxed. Even though she knew it was a precarious peace that relied on a manâs fickle mind, Dana was trying to relax and pretend not to know.
Grand Duke Tertiusâs castle was large and magnificent enough for Dana to walk aimlessly for a long time. Not to mention, in Leon Tertiusâ great-grandfatherâs time this was a royal palace and they were royalty.
After they surrendered to the Haschel Empire, they became nobles of the empire, but other nobles were no match for their family name or mansions.
The fortresses and territories of the Duke and the present Grand Duke were maintained no differently from those of the kingdom.
Dana was looking back on the vivid dream she had had the day before yesterday. The familiar landscape was clearly this great castle she was in now.
âWho were they?â
However, she couldnât remember the people no matter how much she thought of them. The message seemed to resemble Leon, but the atmosphere was very different. Perhaps the present memories and the lost memories of the past were mixed together and became a dream.
After walking for a while, she came to the back of the west side palace with a high tower.
âI think itâs my first time hereâŚâ
Similar buildings were lined up, and there was no one blocking it, so she didnât know this was a separate palace in the west.
Dana was looking around, and she heard a rumble from one side.
âMadam, the weather is so cold. You really shouldnât go around like thisâŚâ
âOwen⌠Coming soonâŚâ
Two maids helped an old woman who was clearly ill and walked out. Her skinny body was covered with thick sweaters, and the maids were continuously encouraging her to enter, and she looked as if she was worried.
The old woman struggled to take a step at a time but muttered something ignoring their words. Then the murky eyes were fixed on Dana.
â⌠I⌠here!â
The weak old woman suddenly opened her eyes wide and shouted. Dana, who was about to quietly pass by, was surprised and hardened.
âWhat?â
Looking back, the old woman approached Dana with her limp legs, and Dana slowly stepped back.
â⌠That woman! Still⌠Sheâs still alive! Youâre so persistent. Canât you get out of this castle? From Owen⌠Get away from him right nowâŚ!â
She couldnât understand any of the rambling words. She wrestled so badly that even her maids could not bear it. She was pouring out tremendous anger at Dana.
âMadam! Whatâs wrong?â
Soldiers patrolling the castle heard the sound and ran. Dana froze, blinking her eyes without being able to go anywhere.
âGet her out of here! How, how⌠How did you get into this castle? Why⌠are you alive? Iâm sure! What are you doing? Right now!â
The soldiers were puzzled, but when the Madam of the castle ordered them, they were forced to approach Dana.
âExcuse me, but who are you?â
Dana replied calmly while embarrassed by the sudden disturbance.
âIâm staying in the Duchy as a guest of His Grace. Check it out.â
âRight now! What are you doing not pulling out! right now! Argh!â
âMadamâŚâ
The woman collapsed into the spot screaming like a seizure. The maids were restless and helped her out of fear that something would go wrong. One of the maids who couldnât see it shouted.
âWhat are you doing? Madam is talking! Hurry up and send it out!â
The soldier looked up and down at Dana and asked back as if he was wondering. His eyes were on her pretty appearance, but he didnât have time to pay attention to it in the current situation.
And although Danaâs outfit was neat, it was too simple to be a noblewomanâs. They thought that if she was a âguest of the Grand Dukeâ, she should of course be a noblewoman, too.
