Tomonori still hasn’t recovered from his cold.
“Are you okay? Tomonori-san.”
Kouko walked over and sat beside him as he laid down.
What the heck. She didn’t even hesitate.
“A-ah. . .I’m fine. Thank you.”
Since she sat away from me, he had to turn over and only talk to her.
“Maybe you hurt your body during that time. . .”
“N-No, It had nothing to do with that. I was just here and stayed up way too late. So now I’m just tired. I don’t think it had anything to do with that time.”
“Really?”
She put her hand on her chest in relief.
“Ahh, Don’t worry about it, Kouko-chan.”
. . .Kouko-chan!?!?
They are already on a first name basis?
He has barely started doing that with me, and I’ve known him way longer.
She is definitely aiming for Tomonori. No doubt about it.
I don’t know what to do. . .His life is at risk.
Despite that, what is he doing?
I was fidgeting around, when Natsumi suddenly pulled the sleeve of my uniform.
“Endure it, Yukiya-chan.”
It’s different from that. I just care about Tomonori’s health.
Despite that risk, Tomonori is just talking to her like nothing is at risk.
“I’m already fine, Kouko-chan. I think I’ll surely be able to go to school tomorrow.”
“Good. . .I was really worried.”
After that, Kouko opened up her furoshiki.
“Tomonori, please have this. . .”
The knot unraveled over the beautifully designed furoshiki.
“Wow. You brought a gift.”
What was shown was a stainless steel pot, with a lid over it.
“Wow, what is it?”
Natsumi innocently asked.
“Ooh, amazing.”
Tomonori opened his eyes in surprise.
“I made some rice porridge for you. I heard this was the best way to help those who get sick.”
She opened the lid, and a white porridge with eggs and plums appeared.
“Did you make it, Kouko-chan?”
“Well, I got a little help.”
I think it was probably one of the cooks at the hotel that made it.
Also there were peeled apples on the side.
I can make that. I can make that way better. I’m a restaurant child.
I’m confident in my abilities, and would definitely win if it was a one on one competition. . .It’s a failure on my part to not have brought anything.
Thanks to her being the only one, she is the center of attention.
“Come on, ahh.”
She scooped up some in a spoon and brought it to Tomonori’s mouth.
If it was the normal Tomonori, he’d say he could eat himself, However because of that surprise attack and him suffering from a cold. . .
With an embarrassed face, he opened his mouth.
Isn’t that overkill? He can feed himself.
Natsumi-chan was also giving a bitter smile.
If it’s hot, and he spits it out, it will be funny.
“Cold. . .It’s cold.”
He grunted in disgust.
I think it was so sudden of a change he couldn’t even act as if it was delicious.
“Eh? But it’s just right. . .”
Kouko tilted her head in confusion.
“As I thought of a mountain born. You don’t know what tastes good.”
I snickered and said.
“Uuu. . .”
Pathetic.
“Kouko-chan, something this cold could upset the stomach. It’s like cold soup. . .”
Natsumi-chan then added after giving it a quick taste.
And that is it. I sort of felt bad for Kouko, but then she went full frozen in a sick boy’s room. But it’s obvious she is trying at least. I wonder how the dynamic will continue. And I wonder if Tomonori will figure out something is with Yukiya, or was it all a fever dream?
