It’s been three days since I’ve been freeloading at Alissa’s place.\nIn place of where the remains of my original home was, stood the foundations of my new house after having been cleaned up by the monsters. The manual labor for constructing that too was done by said monsters under the guidance of Lute-san. In particular, Pappie stood out the most in regards to helping out.\nAnd thus, today was the day when Lute-san showed me the blueprints to my said ‘new home’.\n

Back before, when he came to consult with me, I pressed quite a bit of my selfishness upon him.\nA two-storey building with an entrance big enough for even Pappie to enter. Beside the entrance was a kennel where Bow could live. After entering, Milo’s room was to the right, whereas Pappie’s room was to the left. Going straight ahead, you’d reach Gilancia’s and Chappie’s rooms. Even further ahead was a living room large enough for even Pappie to spend time in, where we could have our meals and also create stuff with all the articles stored up. Finally, the entire second floor was a space dedicated to me.\nIf you’d ask me how it turned out, then…\n

It pretty much turned out to be a mansion.\n

Alissa too stood agape as she stood beside me, gawking at it.\n

“Noah-dono, isn’t this… a bit too vast?”\n

“…… Yeah, pretty spacious. Guess it can’t be helped……?”\n

“It’s because even a Dragon was to be able to live together with him inside, after all. No matter what kind of mansion it is, there isn’t anything I wouldn’t build if it’s for Noah-dono who we’re deeply indebted to.”\n

“That’s all well and good, but…… No matter how you see it, aren’t we seriously lacking in lumber for this?”\n</ins>\n\n“Yeah. It’d be a big save if you could manage to gather up a bit more.”\n

“Understood. I’ll be right back.”\n

Guess I’ll just get more wood from the same place in the forest again.\nSince we weren’t preparing to actually build the mansion till now, I was completely lazing around for the past three days. Even the food was entirely prepared by Alissa. Even the monsters were all listening to Lute-san’s orders, so I couldn’t have selfishly made them listen to me.\nAfter hearing about Milo and co having once played around with Lute-san’s grandchildren, the other children also came wanting to play, so they’ve been pretty busy. With that, I was reminded of Milo complaining about it yesterday.\nLet’s have the children wait a bit for today. I definitely don’t wanna handle lumberjacking on my own.\n

“See you later then, Alissa. Be back in a jiffy.”\n

“Yeah. I’ll be waiting for you with the food ready.”\n</ins>\n\n“Hm.”\n

“Then, I’ll be excusing myself as well.”\n

I exited the house, bidding her farewell.\nAlthough we’re living together, we’re not particularly in that kind of relationship. I’m just a mere freeloader.\nWell, even though I am such, she still took incredibly great care of me. Her handmade cooking tastes pretty good, although they’re all veggies and beans.\n
