Chapter Fifty

There was a faint bird’s song in his ear and a faint disinfectant odor lingering in his nose.

Jiang ShaoYan slowly opened his eyes. Everything before his eyes was white. White ceiling, white walls, white sheets, and……a person in a white shirt.

He wanted to reach out and push the Wang Zhe who had fallen asleep at his bedside, but then he realized that his left arm was bound up in a white cast.

“Oh……”

For some reason, his throat was a little hoarse. He swallowed his spit a few times to try calling out again, but Wang Zhe suddenly raised his head because of this slight movement. His bloodshot eyes were rimmed with red with dark circles underneath.

“Who wants your protection?” Jiang ShaoYan patted his head with his uninjured hand, “I can protect myself. Didn’t you arrive in the end? Don’t blame yourself.”

Wang Zhe shook his head, “It was my fault. From now on, I will absolutely never let you get hurt again……however-” He shifted the line of discussion, “If this kind of thing ever happens again in the future, can you not fight recklessly right away? Think of another method to delay things for a bit. I will definitely come to protect you or maybe make an apology so we can leave. I’m really afraid of something bad happening to you……”

Wang Zhe said anxiously, “In these kinds of circumstances, personal safety is the most important thing. Don’t let your emotions rule you.”

Jiang ShaoYan’s eyes widened, “I let my emotions rule me? That group of trash that wanted to do me, I would rather die than submit to them. If I didn’t beat them, you’d blame me?”

“I just want you to rely on me a little more, I’m not blaming you-”

For the whole rest of the day, Wang Zhe really did abide by his promise and didn’t say a word to him. He silently served tea and delivered food and did whatever he wanted, he wasn’t negligent at all. Except for the fact that he didn’t say a word, everything else was ordinary and like usual.

During this period, many people came to visit: Shen YongMei, Liu Han, Xiao Xiao, Luo YongHeng……but the visitor who surprised Jiang ShaoYan the most was the main culprit who had caused him to be in such a wretched state now.

“You dare come here?” he asked.

Jiang ShaoYan nodded after hearing this. “Then I’m done with you. Go out and call my alpha in.”

Yao Yi: “?? Since when am I your servant?”

“You caused me this much trouble, what’s the matter with those words? Be careful or I’ll report you to the police as the mastermind.” Jiang ShaoYan reclined back in the hospital bed and let out a sigh of laughter. “Be good, go do what this daye¹ told you, little omega.”

Enraged, Yao Yi cursed, “I should’ve called in some more rogues to beat you to death!” Having said that, he still walked out of the room and called Wang Zhe in.

“I hope you’re dumped soon!” Yao Yi ferociously tossed out these final words and slammed the door.

Jiang ShaoYan snorted, “What a joke. Just look and see how much my alpha loves me.” He raised his chin to Wang Zhe, “Right?”

Wang Zhe nodded, but didn’t say a word.

Annoyed, Jiang ShaoYan said, “Isn’t this enough? It’s been a whole day, how long are you going to be stubborn with me?”

Wang Zhe finally opened his mouth, “Will you take your own personal safety seriously in the future?”

“When have I ever not taken it seriously? Don’t try to lecture me.”

Wang Zhe didn’t speak again, his brown-green eyes calmly staring at Jiang ShaoYan, silently conveying his uncompromising attitude.

Jiang ShaoYan was incredibly irritated. “You really have great skill at being so mute, let’s see how long you can bear it.”

Wang Zhe’s expression was both serious and solemn. He leaned over and lightly pressed a kiss to his eyelid. “I was able to bear it from the first year of junior middle school to freshman year, not confessing to you for six years. I can definitely bear it longer than you.”
