Chapter 177: Bone Dragon in Seoul (pt. 1)
âThose crazy bastards⌠What have they doneâŚ?â
Looking at the bone dragon, Kang Chul-In spoke in astonishment.
What kind of monster was a bone dragon?
The bone dragon was a dragon that had become undead. It was different from the âweakâ monsters that were captured in Pangaea World.
Of course, that wasnât to say that a bone dragon was as strong as an actual dragon.
Though undead monsters were usually stronger than their living counterparts, that wasnât the case for the bone dragon.
After all, their living counterparts which were dragons were much too powerful.
Since necromancers were unable to fully recreate the power of a dragon, they had become a minor version of its living self.
But even though they were the minor versions of dragons, they were still extremely powerful. Even though it was different for each monster, each of them was a disaster to the people on earth, since they were at minimum level 80.
âThey said they opened dungeon gates⌠But what is thisâŚâ
Were they planning on completely destroying Seoul, opening a dungeon with a bone dragon as the boss?
And started to fly down towards Pangaea World.
A bone dragon wasnât something that they could take down easily.
If they wanted to kill a monster as strong as a bone dragon they needed to respond with a team that had dealers, tankers, healers, buffers, and more.
The most important thing when fighting against a bone dragon was oneâs âelementâ.
For example, in order to kill a bone dragon that was originally a black dragon when it was alive, one needed a light element spell, weapon, or buff.
It was obvious they needed to use the water element to take it down.
Just because it was an undead monster didnât mean they could use the light element at all times.
No matter how much he thought about it, there wasnât a viable or efficient method to take the bone dragon right now.
Billy and his fellow adventurers were all of the typical âwarriorâ class, and they wouldnât be of much help against the bone dragon.
Of course, that wasnât saying there were no magicians or mages here.
There were some mage adventurers that had come due to them being connected to Overlord Lee Chae-rin.
Compared to Nilus and Arshelly, the magic that they used was childâs play.
And as Kang Chul-In was thinking, the bone dragon completely destroyed the central plaza near Pangaea World.
The bone dragon roared once more, and some of the adventurers that were relatively weaker winced in pain, and involuntarily fell on the ground. It was Dragon Fear, which was known to be able to paralyze the muscles of all weaker lifeforms.
âWhat⌠on earthâŚ?â
The adventurers that had just been fighting paused, took a look at the bone dragon, and went speechless.
A terrifyingly large body that reached up to 40 meters.
A body of bones that had blackish skin covering it.
As expected of a monster that was originally a dragon, it was truly terrifying.
The bone dragon was a monster that couldnât be compared to the monsters of Pangaea World, and it wasnât an overstatement to say that currently it was a monster that couldnât be faced in combat.
The only person that could stand up to the bone dragon,
âGet out of the way!â
Was the strongest Overlord, Kang Chul-In.
The bone dragon also noticed that only Kang Chul-In could match it in battle, and roared at him.
Kang Chul-In concentrated his mana onto his fistâŚ
And his fist collided with the powerful tail of the bone dragon.
With an explosion, sand and dust flew all over the place.
Surprisingly, the powerful and seemingly invincible Kang Chul-in was pushed back over 25 meters.
Kang Chul-In moaned, or more accurately, he sighed in amazement.
âHu⌠Yeah, I can say that youâre pretty darn strong.â
Truly, the bone dragon was in another class compared to the monsters Kang Chul-In had faced after returning to the past.
It was the first time that he had really been pushed back like this.
Kang Chul-In was a true powerhouse that had crushed an orc, an ogre, and even the magic weapon âTitanâ in terms of pure strength.
Someone like him had been pushed back in terms of strength..
He even coughed out blood.
Just once. He had exchanged blows with the bone dragon just once and he had spat out blood.
The adventurers were startled, and immediately rushed towards Kang Chul-In.
But Kang Chul-In ordered them to stop.
âJust go and take care of the small fry.â
âYour hands are full enough as it is.â
Even though Kang Chul-In had taken down the level 60 monsters, there were still a lot of monsters that they had to take care of.
The bone dragon roared at Kang Chul-In, as if it was bragging about its strength.
Pissed off at the bone dragonâs performance, Kang Chul-In clenched his two fists and started to walk towards it.
While Seoul was getting destroyed, major things were also happening in Pangaea.
The giant stone turtle, Cyamodus, started to move.
âThe east⌠of Ishtar.â
Standing high up on a building in the middle of the Cyamodus territory, Alex Rothschild looked at a map of Pangaea and murmured.
At that moment, Rothschild looked up at a giant black castle far away.
The color was greenish-black, with a greenish light that seemed to glow on the surface of the walls.
It was an understatement to call it creepy, and anyone would feel instinctive rejection to this place.
âThe Castle of Death in the City of the Dead.â
Staring at this castle, Rothschild murmured.
What he said was quite accurate.
There was no one inside of that emerald castle that was alive.
The slaves, citizens, high-ranking officials, and even the Lord that ruled that place was an undead. The only people that were living around this area were the adventurers that went through this place.
Because this was the emerald castle that was ruled by the Necromancer: Lord Aleister. This was the Deathwin territory.
Rothschild was heading here right now to pick a fight with Aleister, who was ranked last on the Overlord rankings.
It was in order to conquer this place that was like a barricade towards the Ishtar territory, and stop Kang Chul-In from coming east.
After taking a deep breath, Rothschild shouted at his territoryâs Soul Core, that was shaped like a longsword.
And as he shouted, the giant turtle Cyamodus roared before running at a terrifying pace.
The fight between Kang Chul-In and the bone dragon was extremely intense.
But it only looked like that outwardly, as Kang Chul-In was the only one taking damage.
Kang Chul-Inâs fist once again landed on the bone dragonâs head.
But the bone dragon wasnât even fazed.
As if it didnât take any damage, it only wobbled for a bit and came back to its senses.
Murmuring in frustration, Kang Chul-In tried to gain some distance from the bone dragon.
But at that moment, the bone dragonâs tail came flying towards Kang Chul-In and smashed against him.
With a large noise, Kang Chul-Inâs body once again crashed onto the ground.
âHu⌠this bastardâŚâ
Kang Chul-In grit his teeth.
Kang Chul-In himself was level 64, and the bone dragon was level 80. He had gone into this fight underleveled.
The only reason why he was able to fight underleveled like this was purely because it was someone as powerful and experienced as Kang Chul-In, and not somebody else.
The dragon that Kang Chul-In was facing right now was a bone dragon that used to be a black dragon, commonly known as a âblack bone dragonâ.
Normal undead monsters were part of the dark element, and because the black dragon was also part of the dark element it was right to see the black bone dragon he faced right now as the âextreme dark elementâ.
Because of this, Kang Chul-In needed a weapon that was of the extreme light element, but he didnât have one.
There also wasnât a single person in the adventurers that could give a light element buff to him.
If only I had the right elementâŚ
Kang Chul-In grit his teeth.
Lee Chae-rin who had just been helping the adventurers fight discovered Kang Chul-Inâs injuries and came.
âDonât come any closer. Youâll die.â
Lee Chae-rin was someone that had become an Overlord through her wealth, not her power. It was obvious that she wouldnât be able to survive a fight against the bone dragon.
But surprisingly, Lee Chae-rin shook her head.
âI will help Mr. Chul-In.â
âI told you, youâre going to dieâŚâ
âIâm extremely powerless. In fact, there are a bunch of adventurers that are probably stronger than me. My personal battle prowess isnât something to be proud of.â
Lee Chae-rinâs eyes gleamed.
âIâm a woman that only has money.â
âWhat are you saying, all of a suddenâŚ?â
Showing off her wealth all of a sudden⌠Kang Chul-In tilted his head in confusion.
âSince I only have money⌠The power that I donât have, Iâll buy it with my wealth.â
âHow much will it be? The money that it will cost to beat that dragon?â
Saying that, Lee Chae-rin took out a golden staff.
Kang Chul-In was startled.
The staff that Lee Chae-rin had taken out was normally used for summoning.
An epic item that allowed the user to summon a pet to fight using money.
That meant that Lee Chae-rin had become a summoner who summoned pets with her money!
