Chapter 58 Could Not Accommodate Others’ Suffering
Matt did not buy Leo’s words and he even doubted Leo was deliberately lying to him. This made Leo unsure whether to laugh or cry.
Leo spoke in a slightly impatient tone, “Why would I spend so much effort to lie to you?! According to what I described, if I wanted to lie to you, I should be fooling you into giving money to my company, right? But do you have money? Do you really think you’re the only one who can get El Building’s deed from the New York City government? There are many lawyers in New York that have a wide connection. Anyone of them is better than a kid who just graduated! I don’t want your money nor authority, what worth do you have for me? Don’t tell me I want your body!”
“Mr. Erwin, I’m really curious why are you looking for me? Am I special? Why must it be me?”
Leo’s last sentence did not affect Matt’s thoughts as he calmly asked the questions in his mind.
You are special or not, what question is that?
Leo helplessly curled his lips and said seriously “Daredevil, which person will jump from roof to roof every night instead of sleeping? I’m sure you know the reason why I’m looking for you. If I don’t tell you beforehand and directly build a company on Black Fist Gang’s lair, won’t you sneak in in the middle of the night? What if you damage my complicated equipment? Should I beat you up or beat you up?!”
Matt was stunned because he felt he really might do the things Leo was worried about. He felt embarrassed for a moment before asking the biggest doubt he had in his mind.
“Mr. Erwin, how do you know my real identity? Do you really find out who I am just based on our two meetings half a month ago? Or is it that my disguise has fatal flaws?”
Leo pointed at his eyes and pointed at Matt again and said, “I’m from the mysterious East, I recognize your soul! Appearance can be covered but the soul itself cannot be hidden.”
Matt sneered indicating he did not believe it.
“It’s up to you whether you believe it or not but your disguise is really lame. Bucky who chatted with you every night could even deduce you are a young blind man just from your actions and habits. Although I promised you I won’t tell him, you’re almost exposed!”
Matt began to panic as he did want to be caught by Bucky. But Leo ignored Matt’s thoughts and added, “Alright, I’ve explained some much to you. So, hurry up and give me an answer, are you willing to accept my request or not?”
Matt pondered for a dozen seconds and nodded at last.
Leo gave Matt the details required for registration according to Matt’s requirements. They had agreed when they would get in touch for later procedures and Leo bid farewell.
Matt sent Leo to the door and saw him walk away. At the moment, Foggy had not finished positioning the signboard, and the two workers were on the verge of collapse because of Foggy.
Matt was slightly annoyed as he listened to their ruckus. His ears twitched a bit and suddenly reached his guide stick and pushed the signboard slightly.
“Foggy, let’s set the signboard here,” Matt said impassively.
After saying that, he fumbled his way back into the room. Foggy stared at the perfectly balanced signboard and helplessly instructed the workers to fix the signboard.
Foggy and Matt were fresh graduates and they did not have much money. So they could only rent this small place with the door and ground slanted. That was why Foggy spent so much time positioning the signboard.
Foggy let go of the matter with the signboard to give Matt some face. Since it’s skewed then let it skew. It could not be straightened no matter the position.
With that, the Nelson-Murdock Law Firm officially started its business. They even accepted their first business and it will completely change their future.



Leo was walking on Hell’s Kitchen’s street and recalling the bluff he told Matt.
Leo was not lying to Matt. According to his plan, after he opened his company, it would boost the economy of the neighborhood in Hell’s Kitchen and eventually eradicate the Hell’s Kitchen’s mobs.
However, Leo had not told Matt something and it was something Matt could not have thought of. Once Hell’s Kitchen flourished, would the original inhabitants still live there?
The answer was no.
The growth rate of original inhabitants’ income would not keep up with the rate of tax and rent in Hell’s Kitchen. Ultimately, they would be forced to leave and search for other places to live.
At that point, Matt could not blame Leo because he had done what he said, solving the poverty and chaos of Hell’s Kitchen!
He’s not a saint, he could not accommodate others’ suffering!



Soon, ten days had gone by.
The time required for the approval of company registration was longer than usual since El’ Building did not have the original deed.
According to Matt, the fastest time for the paperwork to complete was twenty days. Leo had no choice but to be patient.
However, the renovation and installation of the Internet in the El Building were completed in these ten days. For the whole building to be flipped over entirely, it required at least a month.
Leo was willing to spend more money since he was urgent about it. Thus, he hired several teams of workers to work together and that was why everything was finished within ten days. But the expenditure was naturally great as he spent fifty thousand dollars as if breaking the bank in just ten days.
Although Black Fist Gang could generate some daily income, it was a spit in the sea compared to the cost of buying precision instruments he needed.
Even a penny could cause trouble and Leo was unable to think of a way to immediately make a killing.
Therefore, he was now sitting in the chairman’s office on the sixth floor using his laptop to search for some trustworthy investment companies. He was prepared to contact them and persuade them to invest in his company.
Although Leo wished to hog all of the company’s profits, sometimes compromise was required in doing something.
Leo opened his laptop bitterly and prepared to use Yahoo to search current famous investment groups. All of a sudden, he saw an icon blinking crazily on the top left corner of his laptop.
